I've not even bothered turning on the TV. I've nothing against them per sé, but I could do without it being forced down my throat EVERYWHERE I look.

It's a lovely day so I think I'll go for a cycle instead.

Eh. Had it on CNN. Pretty boring. Are these people frigid? Or is it just a British thing? There seemed to be no love or passion in the ceremony. Stiff upper lip and all that I suppose, but kinda sad really. The British people seem to be enjoying the day off of work and excuse for a party, though. I hope they kiss better than that in private lol.

Pretty boring? Can't say your inauguration ceremony turns me on either. lol And I'd prefer them to kiss that way in a bit of decorum seeing as they represent our nation rather than be so vulgar as to stick his tongue down her throat. I can't say I can recall President Obama doing the same with the first lady?

Have been actively ignoring it. But that's partly because I'm coming to the conclusion that true love is not even real. It's all a farce.

Here in America, our weddings are expected to show passion, not decorum. It's probably a cultural thing.

Well, I don't expect them to make out, but they could at least act like they like each other. A longing look in each others eyes at least? Something?

I caught part of it, mostly because the wife wanted to watch. I especially liked the part where William and Kate got into the blue police box and went forward in time to see if Charles would ever get to be king.

I'd go for Pippa. She's ************************************************** ************************* and I'd ************************************************** ********.

On an unrelated note, I thought the Irish don't like the Royal Family?

I stayed up to watch it. I've always been a fan of some pomp and circumstance. Guess I find it far more interesting being from the US.

I'm also a fan of the decorum approach, I have been to one too many weddings that one (or both) get way too emotional and end up with snot and tears all over. I don't care how much you love a person, if you can't say 10 sentences without losing it totally over and over I'd just as soon stay home and see the highlights from the video. But, that's just me.

The two things that surprised me was when I saw the Queen I thought she looked just like a Peep and Kate's sister Pippa has quite a lovely bottom.

it was a very nice ceremony. i didn't catch it until they were walking out of Westminster Abbey. her dress was simple but beautiful.

British dress uniforms are awesome! the mounted cavalry looked sweet with those breastplates on.

hehe, i've seen that before.

also to add, here is what a friend of mine's summary of the wedding for a man is:

Quote:
The girl getting married is hot. The guy getting married is not. The best-looking girl in the whole place was the one holding her dress. Cool horses. Neat weapons. It didn't rain.
i've always wanted to try one of those L85A2s your soldiers use. i don't think William is a bad looking fellow, luckily he doesn't look like his dad.

Yes I watched it, it started at 1am this morning here (Pacific Standard Time). I liked it a lot, as I'm actually of English descent so I've always felt some sense of pride. Kate's dress (and Kate herself) was gorgeous!
