CONTEST: Background Image!

Alright folks... the background image for AndroidForums is painful to look at... but having it white just didn't seem right.

Sooooo whaddaya say we have a little contest and see who can make the best background. I'll select a few "finalists" and let everyone here vote on the winner. We'll hook you up with $10 gift card or something. It'll be fun.

And if you're feeling so inclined you could make a new header image too... but I'm kind of attracted to the simplicity of the existing banner.

Whatchya think?

UPDATE: When you POST your wallpaper image I will APPLY it, take a SCREENSHOT, POST THE SCREENSHOT in this thread to make a running list. Thanks!

I'm not entering any competition here, but just a suggestion for anyone interested. How about the background from our own android SDK.. Here is a screenshot of it. Note the dark background with faint lines running across. Though to fit it here you may have to change the entire color scheme of your site though....

That looks nice... very web 2.0 but I agree... it'd take a lot of effort to fit it into the scheme here. Unless someone wants to give me a free (full) makeover!

I think that theme would be perfect. Black/grey/yellow...just like that with the fake taskbar at the top!

I view the site a lot at night or in poor lighting conditions, and have found it hard on the eyes... So i have always just inverted the colors.

I just wish it would look like that w/out inverting color coded text... Lol

Well this contest was from April 2008 it just got bumped. I would also support a black/night theme but that would be a topic for the suggestion box (again)
