You're on Nova right? iirc you can long press empty space on your home screen and choose "nova settings" to do it or you can go into nova settings and create one of your softkey nav buttons to perform hiding of the status bar. Going on memory here as I don't use that launcher

just got AOKP build 18(or is it 19, what ever the newest is) up and running. doesn't seem as smooth as axiom, but feels faster opening apps and the such. Love the customization that this rom offers though! i'll keep playing around with it tomorrow then hopefully will give another kernel a shot too!
I love having an open phone with lots of development, missed it from my OG droid days

Wow, I had my phone in my pocket and when I pulled it out it was stuck on the boot animation. I ended up having to pull the battery. Fortunately, it did start up ok after that. I have no idea what caused it. I'm pretty sure I locked the screen before putting it in my pocket.
Hey y'all (omg, I've been spending too much time in Atlanta!) Been a while since I've been here and it's taken me forever to catch up. (Didn't want to skip any pages cuz you never know what BabyBlues might have posted!)
I'm trying JD Ultimate and wanted to get some input from others out there. I seem to get a negative vibe about JD and wondered why before I put too much time and effort into customizing.
I know I could ask in the normal GNex forums, but although I do visit those sites too, it's so much more fun and relaxing hanging out here.
Also, what's the verdict about the CD player phone mount I read about a few hundred pages back? Anyone used it that has an opinion?

Flip-floppers should get treated just as harshly as sponsors, IMO. Kowtowing and pandering just because some people protest does not impress me. I'll take flip-flopping over the passing of the law, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't remember that certain lawmakers did support it at one time when they're up for re-election.

I got that too. I've gotten it on other sites before, it's usually caused by malicious ads leaking into ad providers that big sites use.

Double wow! This one is even more strange. Phone was again in my pocket. This time I heard noise coming from it so I pulled it out. It had apparently randomly chosen someone from my contact list to call and what I heard was the person's voicemail. What makes it even more weird is that the phone was still locked!! Do you guys think its possible I've got some sort of virus?

Omigosh, I finally got charter to work on my phone. It has refused to set up for 2 years. Who knew it was as simple as pop.charterinternet.net instead of pop.charter.net??? I feel so stoopid. I just wish it saw subfolders too. Oh, well. It works so I am happy to get my emails without Gmail patch.

I have had something weird happen twice. I used battery calibration from the market.Charged to 100%, tapped the calibration button then unplugged. I let the gnex totally run down and shut down the phone. When I plugged the phone in and powered it back on, it says it is at 56%, huh? This has happened both times I used the app. Anyone have any ideas?

Nope, nothing wrong with it but it does get a bit old at times.
So I'll keep my fingers crossed that your flight plans send you this way.
Well I've been lurking and I figured I'd post mainly because...
I'M GETTING ONE SOON
Out of curiosity, does anyone know if you could download and change the fonts on your Nexus without rooting? I was able to on my Fascinate via this app that's available for Galaxy S devices only... and obviously the GNex isn't a Galaxy S lol
This was only about 10 days ago and already about 10 pages ago lmao yall talk like crazy.
But anyway, I've changed my mind. I don't like the way ICS works on the Nexus... originally I thought the right button on the bottom was a menu key but it's the recent apps button instead... I'd rather long press home to get to that. Also, I rarely use that feature, so having a set button for that would be useless, I'd rather have a menu button.
So I've decided to follow the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX just like yall did before the launch of the Nexus haha It has the traditional 4 keys on the bottom, same order as my Fascinate so getting used to them shouldn't be a problem
hey for those of you streaming Netflix on your PC, what happened to all the HD movies?! Last time I checked (Like a week ago) there were something like 7 pages worth of HD movies and TV shows, now there's barely 2...

Try battery monitor widget. It works great for me. LINK
After getting a late start reading this thread due to class projects and then spending a week on travel, I wondered whether I would ever get caught up. Finally, I have. Wow! I would have gotten through more quickly had I not been copying so many useful pieces of information, especially on ROMs and kernels. Actually, that is a nice problem to have, and I appreciate the wealth of information—I hope to take advantage of it soon.
One quick question for those using Tapatalk. Have you been able to select Favorite forums on your GNex? My subscribed threads show up in Tapatalk as Favorites, but my favorite forums (marked with the browser) do not show up in Tapatalk as Favorites. I figured that meant that I had to choose them separately in Tapatalk, but so far, that has not worked for me. Something in the Tapatalk support forum suggests that this might be an issue with Tapatalk and ICS, but before joining and posting over there, I thought I would ask the friendly folks here.
I actually REALLY liked Razr's blur. It was sleek and the music integration was awesome!!! The bloat was the biggest ordeal. Oter than that, I wouldnt mind having a few of blur's features on my nexus.

I have trouble with some not selecting but others are fine. Android Forums works flawlessly. Rootzwiki gives me trouble with a few I keep trying to mark and xda is hit or miss in general

With the newer Android phones having bigger processors everyone is going to be happy with their favorite skin.
And that is what is nice about Android devices, there are so many options to choose from.
With an iPhone you only get one choice.

I just got my car mount today. It's a very tight fit into my cd player and it blocks my regular radio display but I live it so far.

Ahh you got the Mountek too! Ya know you can turn it either way if one way blocks something and the other doesn't
Also make sure the screw is loosened all the way to make to mount slots even with one another so it is as thin as possible prior to insertion . You might have already done this, but mine came screwed down a little so the mount slots were not even.

Never thought I'd say it but its almost too wide.
Almost. Just took some wiggling and a bit of a push and its in there pretty well now.

Checking in...
Hey Guys/Gals,
Miss you all sooo much. Been busy with work, raising my son, dealing family trials, etc, etc, etc...
My status: M2, Faux's .9, 4.0.3 Radio Leak
Haven't figured out Tasker, though I haven't done any learning.
NFC working with NFCL.
GWallet is working; set it up when I flashed M2 so I shouldn't/wouldn't have probs.
Really want to flash AOKP 19 but I have 71 apps to restore/setup. I know I can use my paid TiBu to batch restore apps (and data...never do data cos of probs reported). I have a one screen setup so the reset of my setup is mostly folder related. Guess I want to wait for the OFFICIAL 4.0.3 ROMs based on the OFFICIAL 4.0.3 OTA to be released before wiping. I know wiping is no big deal but I have only been flashing kernels recently for battery life gain as I have no issues with ICS' UI, stock or ROM. I am a crackflasher at heart but know that I would have a lot to "restore" in order to get back to where I am as far as setup.
Anyone care to chime in about AOKP 19? Read the change log but with all of my family/work commitments piling up, I only have so much ME time...should I go for it?

you have a similar setup to me. i'm on 17, faux 10m, and .3 radios. You could bump up the kernel to 10m without wiping the whole phone and get better battery life. I've been hearing mixed things about 19. 17 has been pretty stable for me. might wait until M3 to wipe again.

The one good I can say about Hartsfield is that it's better than Kennedy. (I'm referring to the airports themselves, no slams intended about either part of the country.)
I'm not sure who the JD is you're talking about, but I was referring to Juice Defender. I need to be careful when I use abbreviation. For example, someone might take it the wrong way if I abbreviated "I got really excited the other day when I was playing around with Best Buy's latest toys."
Speaking of which, I think I'll join the CD mount car dock wagon. I really don't like mounting my phone on the dash or windshield.
