Not that I know of, but you could try changing the wifi sleep policy in the advanced settings...

for clock i'm using one called "ice cream sandwitch" and also fond of one called "roboto." these are superclock skins not home skins. I will check out VOS glass for weather.

how about battery skins to match ics?

I don't really use the battery skins but it looks like Segmented or Segmented + icon might be a close match

Are you using the SuperClock? I'm using Tama-Chan's Ice Cream Sandwich theme and it looks good.

Really bummed that the Sena Ultraslim case keeps the phone awake by pressing on the power button. It doesnt look like I can make any adjustments to the inside seams to reduce the pressure on it either.

Just a shortcoming of having a side power button.

So I asked BB in another thread about her leaving WiFi on all the time. So does everyone here do that? I tried it today, but it looked like when I was at home it would connect to wifi (good), but when I left the house, and was away from a wifi connection, 4G never kicked in (bad). So is there something I have to do to turn on wifi at all times, but have it connect to 4G when there isn't an access point?

I am having trouble getting USB Host mode to work on my Nex. Has anyone else gotten it to work? I've tried mounting through terminal and using that USB Stick app, but nothing.

This is the cable I am using which strangely is no longer available:
Amazon.com: GrayBean Micro USB Host Cable (OTG Cable) - Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy S2/S II/i9100, Nokia N810 / N900, Toshiba TG01 -lengthening Cable 30cm: Electronics

This appears to be the same cable with a right angle connector on the micro end:

What a booger of a storm last night! It knocked a tree down across our road in front of the house. After deputies cut the tree up, I went and swept/shoveled the road clear. Too much like work... but somebody had to do it

That's the one I've been using, always says no active mounts. I assume all kernels have this enabled? Or do I need a specific kernel?

Good morning everyone -- happy Monday!

Been a way for a bit, but just hanging out with friends and family and randomly checking in on the internet from time to time. Missed you all though -- plan to spend some more time on here while I am at work since we should be slow this week.

However, last night, I experienced the one way audio issue again. So, it would appear the new SIM did not fix this. Over on XDA someone mentioned that they called tech support and had them re-provision their account and this solved their problem (they had already replaced the phone and the SIM). I am going to try this as soon as I can use my husbands phone to call as I believe you will have to pull the SIM card when they are done. This kind of makes sense to me that it is not truly a hardware issue but may be how your account is set up. A lot of people who have had this problem have not had it fixed with new hardware, yet others have never experienced it at all. Any one have any thoughts?

How about those Giants!!!

I started having the one-way audio issue again, so I called Verizon tech support and asked them to reprovision the account. She wanted to reprovision the phone and I said no, everything I've read states it's the account that need reprovisioning, not the phone. So she did it, and gave me a test-call with no issues. She said she'd give it a few days and call me back to follow up. Let's hope that fixes my issue.

Verizon may be expensive but their customer service is fantastic!

Interesting! I was just going to post something about how I think I'm starting to notice the poor quality of Samsung's cell radios. As I've mentioned in the past, I live in Boston. My apartment, which is near the water, seems to only get 3G; however, heading just a short ways down the street inland restores 4G right away. You'd think that I should get consistent 4G coverage; however, I notice that 4G and even data signal as a whole goes in and out on a pretty regular basis. It feels as though I'm constantly having to fiddle with the phone, turning airplane mode on and off, or even turning the whole phone off and back on to try to get data signal back. Sometimes when I turn the phone off and back on, it refuses to get any signal at all; even though I leave it alone for several minutes, the problem isn't alleviated at all until I turn it off and back on again. The XDA thread mentions people trying to convince Samsung/Verizon to swap their phones for ones with the .10 baseband, perhaps I'll give it a shot as well.

I don't know about the kernals. I'm rooted /unlocked but still on stock. That may be the problem then, if you've changed kernals. Good luck!

Supposedly the kernel I'm on supports it. May have gotten a bad cable. I am returning it today and ordering another.

Who wants to help me again!?!

I like to tether to my computer but the problem is that in my house, my signal isn't great. When I am on 4g, I am always 1 or 2 bars (about -105 to -115 dbm) which I can deal with...but often times it kicks me to a 3g connection that is MUCH worse, always 0 bars sometimes 1 at -115+ dbm. What I want to do is turn off my 3g connection but keep the 4g connection on, even if I may lose the 4g connection (which I shouldn't) Is this possible? Is there some app that one of you know about to turn of the 3g connection while keeping the 4g connection on?

When I am on 4g, I am always 1 or 2 bars (about -105 to -115 dbm) which I can deal with...but often times it kicks me to a 3g connection that is MUCH worse, always 0 bars sometimes 1 at -115+ dbm. What I want to do is turn off my 3g connection but keep the 4g connection on, even if I may lose the 4g connection (which I shouldn't) Is this possible? Is there some app that one of you know about to turn of the 3g connection while keeping the 4g connection on?
I believe that requires going into the phone programming menu and choosing 4G/LTE only from a drop-down, but I am not even 100% sure if it is there. I don't like to go into there nor do I even remember the code for it off the top of my head.

That, to my knowledge, is the only way to do that though.

Ok, I just didn't know if maybe there was a widget or something I could get to do it easily.

If you download 4G for Razor from the market it gives a quick shortcut to the cdma only, cdma/lte menu.

Thanks, but I was hoping for an LTE only option...I have better 4g reception in my house than 3g reception, yet I get kicked to 3g all the time.

howdy folks. been a few days... had an adventure race this weekend. just got caught up on the last few pages. for some reason BB is really excited about seeing star wars. i feel really good actually about holding out. it's kinda cool when the convo comes up to be the only one who still hasn't seen any of the star wars movies

ok real question. anyone running AOKP M2 (or any ROM). i have seen a number of issues with the keep awake bug. but has anyone noticed the screen NOT waking/responding?

this is the 3rd time it's happened... all i get is a black screen that doesn't wake when i press power button, plug in cable, or long press power button. i'm underclocked to 920MHz (on 1.6.6 leankernel), on standard voltage. i'm left having to pull the battery.

How'd ya do? 1st place?

You are experiencing the SOD/screen of death/sleep of death from what it sounds like.

I don't and haven't experienced the "keep awake" bug.

Standard voltage you mean what comes built in to 1.6.6? What governor? Using the 230MHz slot or is 350MHz your lowest you have set? If using the 230MHz slot move the min freq up to 350MHz.

Your phone might also not like the lower voltages that come by default in Lean kernel.

Next, you could try bumping up your voltage for the 350MHz slot (assuming that is the lowest slot you are using) by 25mV for more stability. You might even have to bump the mV's up across the board (aka for every slot 350, 700, 920, and 1200)

Are you using Setcpu? If you have the screen off profile enabled it can cause your issue. I ended up disabling all profiles and haven't had a problem since.

She said she'd give it a few days and call me back to follow up. Let's hope that fixes my issue.

Verizon may be expensive but their customer service is fantastic!

I have to agree, I have had great customer service. Re-provisioning the account did not work for me, but it is worth a try. I am waiting the arrival of a new nexus today.

Verizon is sending me a new handset today, I will report back on if it has the new .10 baseband. Here is hoping!

no chance haha. the winning teams train all year around, and i think finished in 13 or 14hrs. after 18hrs of getting checkpoints by map n compass... we needed to get one checkpoint on the last trekking leg and came up empty before the 2am cutoff. so we ended up with a DNF, but had a lot of fun nonetheless.

min slot is 350MHz and voltage is 975mV. i didn't think that was too low, but i will see what i can do.

Fun is all that matters glad you had that

Yeah 975mV is not low at all I agree, but it is 50mV lower than stock voltages with the stock kernel. What governor are you using? Sorry if I missed you telling me

interactiveX... i missed that part.

not sure what's up, but i've made two 3 min phone calls and a couple emails. battery is down to 22% in 6hrs. that's downright bizarre. nothing out of the ordinary showing up, but keep awake in at 2.5 hrs. grrr..
