not sure what's up, but i've made two 3 min phone calls and a couple emails. battery is down to 22% in 6hrs. that's downright bizarre. nothing out of the ordinary showing up, but keep awake in at 2.5 hrs. grrr..
Then it sounds like your phone doesn't take to kindly to the IAX governor which is a hybrid governor and uses a hotpluging feature when the screen goes off (completely disables one of the cpu cores). I'd try Interactive governor and leave at default voltages and see how that does. My bet is that your screen wake issues will go away. Make sure to "set on boot" when you set it to Interactive.

My apartment, which is near the water, seems to only get 3G; however, heading just a short ways down the street inland restores 4G right away. You'd think that I should get consistent 4G coverage; however, I notice that 4G and even data signal as a whole goes in and out on a pretty regular basis. It feels as though I'm constantly having to fiddle with the phone, turning airplane mode on and off, or even turning the whole phone off and back on to try to get data signal back. Sometimes when I turn the phone off and back on, it refuses to get any signal at all; even though I leave it alone for several minutes, the problem isn't alleviated at all until I turn it off and back on again. The XDA thread mentions people trying to convince Samsung/Verizon to swap their phones for ones with the .10 baseband, perhaps I'll give it a shot as well.
OK, I got the new handset and first things first, I checked for the baseband. Interestingly, it was still on .09 but it was different numbers after the .09 then the nexus I am returning. However, once it upgraded to 4.02 the numbers in the baseband version changed and now match the other nexus...interesting. That being said, i did immediately notice a difference in the contrast level and the blackness of the blacks. The new phone is significantly blacker blacks. I also have noted slightly better dbm . The reason for the exchange was the one way audio issues, I won't know about that until I put the phone to use. I have rooted and unlocked with Wugs newest One step v 1.3 and am in process of restoring my backups. I will post an update on the one way audio issue when I have more information.

some of you may recall that i've been experiencing pretty poor call quality. i've been wanting to take it in to vzw or call support to get a replacement.
am i SOL now that my screen is cracked? is there any hope of getting it replaced (obv i'm trying to avoid going through Asurion).

does anyone know, is the sd particion fat32 or ext4? I'm running aokp and faux kernel if that matters
i was looking at a mod that increases the bitrate of the video camera. this increases the quality but also the file size, and fat32 is limited to 4gb files.

Probably old news to most of you but I figured out that I could force a desktop view of a site in the default browser (changed the UAstring to desktop). I knew it worked on my Xoom. Could be useful I guess in some circumstances.
Type about:debug in your browser then go to settings and there should be debug in the menu then find UAstring and change it.
It will change back after you restart your browser or reboot.
You may need to close your browser and try again if the debug menu is not there

Awww. Thank you. It doesn't matter how I try to make an account it will not let me. Either it tells me my password is wrong if I'm using an existing email or it tells me I entered the captcha wrong.
EDIT:
Apparently it didn't want to let me make an account using Nyxie. I use the iPad and it goes through no problem.

Now that's just plain cold prejudice
Is imgur just a free photo sharing site like imageshack? I have 2 paid accounts, photobucket and smugmug, but they have unlimited storage and unlimited files sizes & videos as well.

Off the wall thought - this happened to me. Check your keyboard input to make sure that it does not automatically force a capital letter as the first character. Drove me nuts until I figured that out. I was using SlideIT at the time. And password characters were changed to asterisks too quickly to notice. Caused all my entries to be rejected.

Was trying to move my home directory for Ubuntu off of my SSD like I did for Windows 7 and have all my data and downloads and such on my 1TB hard drive and screwed up my entire Ubuntu installation...back to square one I guess, lol.
Also the Google Music update fixed that shuffle issue that was mentioned a while ago where the app would only play one song then just stop. So good to see Google updating core apps.

Wow quite a proposed phone! Wonder if it will bring along with it the newest gen LTE chips if VZ picks it up.
I've never had that problem, but love to see the goog updates.
I have to agree, I have had great customer service. Re-provisioning the account did not work for me, but it is worth a try. I am waiting the arrival of a new nexus today.
Thanks for keeping me in the loop. I didn't use my phone a whole lot yesterday but I didn't have any problems. Keep us posted on how the new Nexus does. I have to figure out how to transfer my Robo Defense game if I have to get a new Nexus!

I spoke too soon... I had the one-way audio issue just a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, it happened during an initial phone interview. The guy was pretty understanding though. I wanted to use a land-line here at work for that very reason, but both conference rooms were occupied and the only way to get privacy is to go outside (I'm in a cube farm). I'll have to tell the Verizon rep I'm still having a problem.
Good news is that Google Music released a new client yesterday that fixed the shuffling music issue. Yay! One step closer to dumping the iPod and having one device for everything!
I LOVE gadgets and toys. So it is definitely aimed at people like me !
The section for "As Seen on TV" at BBB is the best!
Edit: And we went to this massive flea market in the West Palm area in Florida and they had a HUGE As Seen on Tv booth. I was in heaven!

Is anyone else having issues with Light Flow lately?
Yesterday I had to uninstall it since every notification would just display a solid color without flashing. I just reinstalled it now to see if any changes were made, and now it's not even working (just flashing the stock white color).

I didn't like the look of it. Silly, but it wasn't as 'clean' to me. That was it really.

Mine seems to be OK. You do have it checked off in accessibility in the settings menu right?
Anyone have a suggestion/experience on a note taking app? Like something super simple no bells and whistles. Just something to jot down a grocery list, a Home Depot list, etc.... TIA

I imagine most people would recommend an app like Remember the Milk, but since I don't use a note app daily or need the detail RTM offers, I usually just use ColorNote which gives me a very basic notepad with the option to add "post it" notes to my desktop for quick reference as necessary.

Color note works great.
You can make a list and assign it a color.
Than you can add the note to you home screen via widgets.
