Loved my eight track, loved my 45's, but Star Wars was the rage in the Theaters! Hans was every girls crush!
Sorry, but I have to pimp you on this one. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many times I saw the original Star Wars in the theater and I don't remember any Hans.
I do remember that the captain of the Millennium Falcon was HAN Solo.

Admittedly pimped, but Harrison Ford was dreamy as Han

Good Morning all. My location services are acting up again, my phone thinks I'm in Houston now. It really gets on my nerves. Also, what if any, third party weather app do yall use. I have been using weather Channel, but lately the radar refuses to update unless I force stop and reopen the app.

Trivia Bit for the Young Folks
Did you know that the word "blockbuster" didn't even exist until 1977? It was first coined to describe Star Wars, as people lined up around the block to wait in line to see it at the theater.
Now it's a common term - but if Star Wars hadn't been released, we may never have heard the word.

Good morning! I use the weather in Beautiful Widgets which is Accuweather. Was giving me geolocation problems yesterday but otherwise it is usually really good
Morning everyone! Finally got my much awaited update for my Prime. Excited to see what changes there will be. It's funny this is probably only the second time I've forced an OTA with any of my Android devices (only one of two that isn't rooted). This thing really is a beast. Anyone looking for a tab, I highly recommend it, but also probably wait for the T700.

After being on a bit of a Star Wars book binge lately, I really wish Lucas would green-light more movies. And preferably stay out of their way. I think it's very telling that the movie that is the most generally beloved, Empire Strikes Back, was the only one that Lucas didn't direct.
After reading a book last week, I wanted to watch Episode I and II before starting the next book. I couldn't force myself to do Episode I. I tried. But then Jake Lloyd came on, and I just had to fast forward it to the Darth Maul fight scene. And then I turned it off.
That kid was the most horrible actor I've seen in I don't know how long.
P.S.: I've gotten quite a few requests for the Dark Lord Trilogy. It's just easier if I do it this way:

Yeah I am getting geolocation errors with that as well (My homescreen is Sense-like ) Kind of annoying. But does that have radar? when I click on the weather, it just takes me to a detailed forecast.

Good morning all. Wow I feel really young after all that talk of HS reunions and stuff. I'm still 4 years away from my 10-year reunion, eek. Doubt i'll go to any of them although I'd love to show off how well I am doing, but meh.
Got OSX running on my netbook and running a bit more stable in a VM on my desktop so all is well for now. Trying to scrounge up some old PC parts from my house to see if I can piece something together so I can have all my desktop's power back though.
Also got a flat yesterday at around 7PM and because of my air suspension I don't have a spare. I was luckily very close to a tire shop who was able to plug the tire for a very inexpensive $10 - made what could've been a horrible situation turn out surprisingly well.
More training today - waiting on some 4.0.4 gummyNex love. Hoping to see some great performance increases too!

Check for an update to BW. I updated mine a few days ago and those Geolocation errors all went away.

Was the Phone Keypad Dialer Eliminated in Ice Cream Sandwich?
I was used to FAST contact dialing on my Incredible - where i could start typing the name of someone in contacts from the phone key pad and the phone would instantly limit the list from hundreds of contacts to the one I needed just by turning the phone on and going to phone button.
Don't know if this was an HTC add on, Incredible only feature or it was embedded in Android 3 but it's no where to be found on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus S. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately there is no Samsung Galaxy Nexus S - there is a Galaxy Nexus and a Nexus S but not a combo-phone. BTW these are not support forums, but rather just random chit chat for the phone owners.
But for your information quick dialer (like you described) is an HTC Sense feature. It has been added in most custom ROMs for Galaxy Nexus via the CM9 team.

I use Dialer One from the market. Not only does it allow me to dial contacts by typing their name, it also allows me to to set up speed dials.
I don't know why, but I'm just not feeling Jessica. Just no frakking connection with the song. And I can't stand her "Oh, thank you, your ovation was so unexpected!" hand over her mouth at the end of the song. Please, go home!
Although I think it's the end of the line for Deandre.
Edit:
This is what I mean:
OMG! I can't believe it!

Some amazing talent this year on AI for sure. I sing and play guitar and have always been surrounded by music (and partly the business) and I love the show!
Jessica, have you Google'd her? She's already got quite a history in the music business doesn't seem fair. She's gotta hella voice though wow.
Love Heejun! Voice is unmistakable and his tone is what I call perfection.
Love my fellow GA boy he's a younger version of me, seriously He's all about the music, can't believe what Stevie said about him last night!
Colton is special as well. His love for worship made me a huge fan last night even though I already was a fan.
I'll leave it there, each one of these singers could have a music career EASILY.

Heejun does have a nice quality to his voice. My wife and I think that the top 3 deserve to be Elise (she did AWESOME last night!), Colton, and Philip. Hollie is right there, too, but she hasn't been as consistent as she could be.
P.S. Yeah, I read somewhere that Jessica was on America's Got Talent, but I haven't watched that too much.
P.S.S.: I was hoping that Colton would remove the skunk from off his head, but after Stevie said she loved it, I don't think that pile is going anywhere.

So OVER little Jessica. Yuk.
For me (the "older" set ), Elise Testone killed it with the LedZep cover. But a rocker, especially with Janis undertones, has never made it all the way.

I have written....it's not my gift. Co-writing, absolutely! I've been in bands, in some form or another, for 25 years now! I've also sung with a contemporary group for the last 5 years. I naturally hear harmonizing parts, no lead here I do everything by ear, don't read music. I'm more free spirited

Elise is killer. The mass voting populous will not vote for her I'm afraid (too many teens). She's an "older soul" and she'll be a superstar one day though, guarantee it.

I use ex Dialer, which does T9 dialing (start pushing numbers or using the letters, and it'll find all matching contacts), then dial from the selected list. Many, many other features as well. I used to use Dialer One, but I do like ex Dialer better. I can't believe they did away with T9 dialing on our Nexus!

I use Beautiful Widgets for my home screen and weather. However, I have it bring up WeatherBug for details (you set that in 'settings' for BeautifulWidgets...default is Accuweather) - radar in real time/video, weather cams, forecasts, etc. Excellent program. I don't personally care for Accuweather.

I do it all by ear but with some basic technical learning to back it. I am a lead singer type. I should send a track I wrote called "colorblind."

I just finished the Fifty Shades trilogy. Wow. Just wow. Once you realize its not just about the smut it makes the read even better. I'd highly recommend it. Its not a completely lighthearted series but its definitely not heavy either. It runs right down the middle and is smutty but not raunchy.

Yes. I've watched 4, 5 and 6.
I had a hot pocket because I'm having one of those days where I just want comfort food. If I wasn't also feeling lazy I'd probably go to the Dunkin Donuts / Baskin Robins and have a jamocha shake.

I haven't had to deal with that, as I have been pretty disciplined lately. But wings, fries, and coke sounds awesome! My 5k is Saturday, and I think I'm ready. I have also lost a total of 30 lbs from my peak, although I have a long way to go.

Yes, it sounds awesome, but you feel like a pig while you're doing it, and then you feel like a balloon full of grease afterwards. I haven't worked out at all this week.

Oh no. If you think the acting is horrendous in Return of the Jedi, you will detest Episode I. You have to watch it, of course, for the story line, but it will probably be the very first time you feel utter and complete disgust towards 9 year old little blond-haired boys. At one point, the kid tries to fold his arms like a wise Jedi-in-the-making, and misses.
The very best character, Darth Maul, has all of what, 4 minutes of screen time? The pod racing scene is pretty good.
But Jar Jar will make you want to tear out your eyes and pour gasoline in your ears.
Episode II is much better. Episode III is actually an excellent film.

Um, thanks for the warnings. Maybe I'll just wait and watch it when I can share the misery of bad acting.

Yeah a huge congrats on that. I'm working on the body as well. At 43 the old metabolism has slowed to a crawl. Just happened around 40, not used to it. Have to retrain the body to burn burn burn! GL on the 3.10685596 miler!

SO just a reminder, the Galaxy Nexus is up for voting at laptopmag.com. It is currently against the Nokia Lumia 710, and is rightfully spanking it. However there are a LOT of WP7 fanboys on this site (it is a laptop site after all), and except for against the GNex, the WP7 phones have won every contest they have been in. Tomorrow is the final, and if today's results hold, will be GNex vs. Lumia 900. Make sure you go and vote on as many machines as you can! (Phone, Tab, PC, laptop, etc.)

Will do. My goal is 30 minutes, hopefully the adrenaline of an actual race vs. training will get me there, I have run 2.5 miles on a 30 minute 5k pace, but not the actual 5k.

Yeah, thankfully I am still young (turn 28 Tuesday). I had an amazing metabolism when I was a young child, but for whatever reason it turned off in 5th-6th grade. Will gain weight with a quickness ever since.
