Default The drama continues...

If you've been following my power saga you'll know that I have been waking up to a dead battery the past few days. I changed out the extended battery with the standard battery yesterday, and hooked her up last night. Guess what happened?

^--- Hidden for dramatic effect

I'm down to TWO options:

(a) The phone's charging circuits are bad. This means a new Nexus... and don't think for a minute that I won't unlock and root that sucker so I can make full backups! BTW, has anyone successfully restored a backup from one phone onto a replacement phone?

(b) The charging CABLE is bad, per Copacetic. That's the preferred problem.

SO... tonight we'll try one more time. I happen to have a spare charging cable lying around so I'm going to do one more night with the new cable. If Ginny wakes up tomorrow with a full charge, then Verizon's out $30 for a cable and not $700 for a Nexus.

*SIGH*

Hmm, still running Liquid 1.25 and liking it. Perhaps I'll give B31 a shot today.

Good morning all.

Thinking about going to AOKP B31 tonight to try something new out.

Chief - I hope its the cable or maybe its that outlet or maybe its the brick that plugs into the wall - lots of elements to go bad there. Good luck!

Going to grab some breakfast, which is always a bit more difficult during passover.

Greetings all.

Can someone tell me the main features of B31? I'm on Patient Zero M1, and the coolest things are the weather panel, customizable navbar icons, and Beats integrated. Is B31 the same thing, or does it have other features?

Also, BB, if you find Nexie going into random reboots again or freezing up, try increasing the voltages by about 25 each. That should fix it.

No Beats on AOKP B31 that i'm aware of. Weather Panel and lockscreen weather, lockscreen calendar events, customizable navbar icons and lockscreen icons, customizable clock in status bar, power saver mode, and custom toggles in pull-down are the main features I use.

I did this when I exchanged my first Nexus thinking the mic issue was hardware-related. I was able to copy a nandroid backup from one phone to another (same model) and restore it on the new hardware.

Hopefully it won't come to that for you, but it's nice knowing it can be done if necessary.

Ah okay, gotcha. Yeah, it seems like DroidTh3ory is using a lot of AOKP's features. Beats and Sony Bravia engine are baked in; I THINK I can tell a difference is movie watching, but not sure, lol.

Not sure if I ever posted this, but if you have friends using iPhones you know they can send Emoji. This mod will allow you to see emoji (albeit in B&W) throughout the Android OS.

I had trouble understanding your post. I'm not used to seeing the words "friends" and "iPhone" in the same sentence...

Hey all, so back at work, feeling better, except it hurts to breath, apparently from the abdominal and chest muscles I strained from my uhh... sickness. Still no appetite though.

So here is an interesting little tidbit I noticed today. When I unplug my phone, and allow the screen to turn off, if I wait a few minutes to turn back on, it reports that it is connected to 4G. But it immediately loses signal and cycles back to 3G once I turn the screen back on... Any comments?

Also Tumblr and Tapatalk updated -- two of my most used apps! The new Tumblr app is amazing because it doesn't look like ICS but follows a lot of the design requirements set out by Matias.

That is odd to get the random reboot since you haven't tweaked Nyxie recently. But you're right, now might be a good time to jump to B31.

As my mother always told me, "Don't forget to wipe" (Mom was weird)

BTW, I've been thanked 999 times. Who's going to push me over?

Wow, did not sleep at all last night, well, perhaps 30 minutes because I am so used to going to bed at 2am and getting up at like 10 or 11 for work, but I needed to be in at 6am this morning. So I have been up for nearly 24 hours (again). So I get up this morning, take a shower, get some coffee in me and head into work.

I see my manager there and he's like, hey, Allan, what are you doing here? I tell him I was suppose to be in at 6. he said he came in at 4am that I should have called him. Like I knew he was there. He said I could come back at like 10 or something and I told him I had not slept and if I was going to go home, I was not coming back. So, after a bit of talking, I ended up getting an extra day off, today, and will try to make it up this weekend instead of those stupid 4 hour shifts.

Yeah! A spare day off! too bad I am so blasted tired and need a nap. The Irony.

If you have LTE enabled it may be doing a scan for it before settling in on CDMA.

Put your device to show Settings/About phone/Status and note what "Mobil network type" is displayed. Look at the signal strength too.
Then let it time out and when you wake it see what it shows says then. Seeif it shows LTE at 1st and pops back to eHRPD:13

Ouch. The only thing worse than getting up with no sleep, is getting up with no sleep when you didn't need to do it.

I know most read Droid-Life, but did anyone catch the benchmark comparison between the One X and the Nexus? One X smoked us. Really is a beautiful device.
Benchmarks: HTC One X vs. Galaxy Nexus – Droid Life
I may run a few tests on my Prime to see how it compares since they have similar specs.

But as soon as I tried to use a data app (speedtest.net) it kicked me back to 3G.

So, after this, I'll have 3 more posts until I get to 2K. What should it be? Ideas? I'll be sure to make sure it's here!

That's an odd rule, but at least now I understand the "randomness" of signatures.

I asked the admins about that weeks ago. Its a bandwidth penny pincher. Your sig should appear in the 1st post or reply and sometimes at Random.

I'm not good with that as a premium subscriber eh?

Going to grab some breakfast, which is always a bit more difficult during passover.
Chief, Stigy is right, could also be the brick that plugs into the wall. Does she charge by any other means? (car charger, computer etc).

I have never in my life used Tapatalk. It always pops up when I visit a forum of some kind, and I always send that little thing on its way.

I hate Tapatalk. I hate it!!!
