For example, if it is going to rain tomorrow it will send me an email to remind me to bring my umbrella to work and I also included the high/low temp in case I need a jacket as well.

I don't use umbrellas and I usually only wear a jacket if it is part of the outfit

A Sad Day at The Chief's House....
Just venting:
My son's VA funding for his Computer Information Technology school was DENIED on a "technicality". The damn bean-counters just push through paperwork and numbers, not stopping for a second to consider the life-altering decisions they're throwing out there.
He is understandably crushed, and I had to be the bearer of bad news.

Captain, you are a wise, wise man.

By the time it's over with a $20 pair of cute shoes has turned into a $100 outfit she'll wear twice, lol.
Oh and to top it off, the reason she quits wearing the outfit is because the shoes end up hurting her feet so she doesn't want to wear them anymore, lol. I've told her several times that she needs to to pick 5 or 6 different pair of shoes that are fairly basic and will go with most outfits and buy quality shoes instead of cheap ones that hurt her feet :P I'd gladly pay $500 or so for her to have that many quality shoes she'll wear everywhere instead of that much for 30 pair of shoes she hates wearing because they hurt.
This, svt, is what is known as "the circle of life". Buying shoes we have nothing to wear with gives us an excuse (as though we needed one) to buy new clothes. And buying new clothes that we have no shoes to go with...well, you see where I'm going here. Additionally, as a woman, I would rather have 100 pairs of $20-30 shoes than 10 pairs of $100 shoes. Why? Because we women like a little variety. Thank your lucky stars we limit that need for variety to shoes and clothing and do not include men in that.

That's just how we roll, svt.

Really sorry to hear that, Chief. But when one door closes, another opens. Hope something good is waiting for him on the other side of the next door.

Those are some very chill shoes.
Reminds me of a story of why I am partial to high heels:
(Now I am not suggesting this for you BB)
A long time ago, in a city far away...
I went to pick up a girlfriend
And she greeted me at her door wearing some very slinky high heeled shoes.
And that was it.
How did I miss this comment. Yes yes yes! It needs to be done.
Sorry I haven't said much lately. I've seriously trying to work out the problem with my boyfriend's old DROIDX and the potential problem with my old DROIDX.
I love all these forums and the huge amount of information they contain, however it is a PITA trying to find exactly what you need!
So, I'm catching up here in bits & pieces cause I miss you guys! But I'm determined to root the older phones before I try the GNex!
Take care all!
BB... Loved the blue shoes!

Can you appeal? I did that with a VA pension and it took awhile to find a "CSR" ombudsman who actually cared to make some good suggestions. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? I hope there's a alternative. Good luck Chief.

Thanks Treo, but appealing would do no good in this circumstance. It was explained to me: Title 35 is worded so carefully that he simply doesn't qualify the way we thought he did. An appeal would simply waste their time and ours.

So now to find alternatives
Well good luck to finding an alternative!

Friend of mine's daughter went through the American Legion. Some kind of scholarship for direct descendants of veterans...

We have talked about a lot of different things in our little watering hole. Tonight I learned of one mans new struggle and felt it appropriate to share, may God bless and keep Him; we have so much to be thankful for.
Man, I really want to go to Coachella next year. Don't think the wife would be as excited, but I'd drag her along anyway. Saw these guys a couple months ago, but would love to see them again if they're there.
Perhaps on Dec 15th this year we can convince Steven to reopen the thread for a couple days.
It cracked me up watching the video again remembering how upset we were when the rumored delay was Dec 8, then it was further delayed (for the umpteenth time) until Dec 15th.
We definitely need commemorate Dec 15th. BB has to resurrect some of her more famous avatars leading up to the date culminating with her "It's finally here" avatar.

Ahhh...good times, good memories. Brought a smile to my face on an otherwise monotonous Tuesday.
Hopefully if all goes well this afternoon, I should have my android app up on the market tonight!! I'm so stoked!
Got all that stuff figured out? Sorry if I missed a PM, but only notifications I get are when I actually visit the site on a computer (for some reason) - need to figure out why.
Let me know the link and I'll check it out for ya!

Yeah buddy! I appreciate all of the help/advice through the last few weeks on this. The only thing left to do is create an icon tonight in photoshop and start pushing apks for a couple of different API levels. I love the new drop down menus on API level 14 for ICS. So I'll have an ICS apk and a non-ICS apk just for that reason alone. Got my background drawn in 9-patch format last night as well as installing a custom font. For my first real app (my first one was made with app inventor as just an experiment) I think it looks darn good.
Poor wife doesn't understand my excitement over this, lol. I am having a REALLY hard time not locking myself in a room and coding all night. I have found my first love again! lol
