Define "mature". Chronologically, I suppose I would qualify for that. However, I refuse to act my age, particularly since NOT acting my age has the happy side effect of making me not FEEL like my age.

hey all. Been a bit, eh?
Nothing really going on lately but I thought I would stop in and say, Hi!
Oh, first lawn mow of the year. Front yard. Find all kinds of stuff in it, but the oddest (grossest) was a rubber. At least some one thought my lawn looked good, I guess.

Morning everyone. I mistakenly set my alarm last night even though I didn't have to get up early, so here I am. Had to get up in the middle of the night to let my wife in since she didn't have a key, ugh. It's gonna be a long day
Huh, just noticed all the new smilies you can use, cool!

Yuck! I'm on my 3rd or 4th mow of the season already. I've got dang near golf course quality turf in my front lawn. Hard work has finally paid off.

Good morning everyone! Its my Friday at work so I'm happy today.
I just heard on Good Morning America about a pilot who aborted landing 400 feet from the runway because his landing gear wasn't down.....why wasn't the gear down you ask? Because he was texting. Captain Ron - since you're our resident pilot I have to ask - just how absorbed in the texting do you have to be to 'forget' landing gear??

So, let me get this straight, the pilot failed to put the landing gear down because he forgot, didn't realize it till 400 feet from the runway, and all this from doing something that they tell passengers not to do on a plane?
Morning everyone. All of the sudden tapatalk has decided to notify me of every response to this thread now. Can't decide if I like that or not.
I am kind of excited, one week until my tablet is scheduled to get ICS.
Still am puzzled that the OG 10.1 hasn't been upgraded, but hey, that's Samsung.
I upgraded my Prime the second I turned it on! Trust me, ICS is SOOO much better on tabs than HC. My 10.1 lagged like crazy, but the Prime is buttery smooth. Also keep in mind you can then load up Nova Launcher

Yeah, I wasn't going to bring up the fact that we are supposed to turn all electronics off. I'm guessing its similar to a hospital where they say to do the same with phones. I'm sure there are some machines that could be effected but unless I'm in the ICU with some one then my phone is no different than a doctor's phone. I had one very mad once because he said I had to turn mine off, then his rang and I said "I will when you do ". I'd love to know why it has to be done on the plane though.

I'm a Today Show guy though
I think because there was news from the investigation. I had turned it on for weather and caught that. Then they started talking about Mariah Carey and I had to turn it off. Something about that woman annoys the poop out of me.

It's mainly done as a precaution, but there is merit behind it. If I enter an area of a hospital that says to turn cell phones off, I turn mine on airplane mode. Same for planes. Most equipment now is not very succeptable to electromagnetic/radio frequency interference, but some older equipment is. If you get one cell phone near it, may not affect it much, two you might see some effects, 3...etc it gets worse.
Usually hospitals only have that sign up around areas with sensitive life-sustaining or monitoring equipment. (ICU and surgery rooms)

Yep, looks like the investigation released their findings. I have the same sentiments regarding Ms. Carey.

I do turn it to airplane mode in those areas as well. But don't tell me to when I'm in the hallway by the elevators...... in the lobby/gift shop area.

Yeah, hospitals that put them up in that area don't know what they are doing. Rooms that contain sensitive equipment should be sheilded well enough to where you can walk by them and not interfere. I understand most ICUs are more open so that whole section needs to be a no cell phone zone, but other areas should never have to be with the exception of individual rooms.

Yeah, her ads for Jenny Craig make me want to throw a wife's high heel at the tv.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday eve!
Programming in Titanium for iOS (in javascript) is pretty fun. Got some learning to do about the Titanium API, but so far so good with the development of the app. Definitely need to talk to my brother (iOS person) about functionality of iOS apps and where to find settings and how they expect an app to behave. Making some nice progress though.

Conrgrats - that's a big accomplishment! I am 50% of the way done, just waiting for when work offers to pay to finish mine to go back to school. Not looking to pile on any more loans.

Happy Thursday/over-the-hump/wish it was Friday-Day to all!!!!
Been busy here working on home server and clients websites all week.....and trying to find a new job.
For those who do not know, although not against any company policy, my finance and I work in the same department, and getting married in September. But our supervisor is a....jerk off...enough....something-or-rather..... and would make an issue of it. So since my other half is vested in her 401k, it falls to me to find another job. Uh huh...easy peasy. NOT!!! Seriously having a hard time finding anything local. So I have turned to my other skills....and doing more programming for now. Still sending out resumes but not getting much response. Hoping for something soon!! Especially since the cost of living in Santa Barbara, CA is SO FREAKING high!!!! But my kids are nearby, so relocation is only an option for a really good opportunity. I would much rather work from home, than relocate.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

My biggest question is regarding settings. Do most iOS apps have them within the app itself or is it common to find them in the System Prefs/Settings app itself?
Not sure where to place the settings since I end up only have 4-5 settings so I figured I could keep them within the app itself, but wanna make sure its easy for iOS users to use.

Oh wow! These look freakin sweet! We're supposed to wear them with all white unis this year when we play Texas A&M to commemorate the "Snow Bowl" (last time we played each other).
New avatar time!

Liquid 1.25, OC'd to 1.35Ghz, Nova Launcher. Never had this problem before. I actually started uninstalling some previous loaded apps like Draw Something, used Cache Cleaner. It only started a few days ago.
Loaded B32 up now so we'll see how it goes.
(It was a hell of a lot more frustrating with Rhapsody, I'm hoping that goes away as well.)

From what I can tell (I don't have a whole lot on my iPad) the apps that have settings in the actual settings panel are things that have alerts or notifications.
Most apps have a settings menu right in them though.

Okay that's what I thought. Need to implement settings into the app tonight then. Working on my other functions today if I have downtime at work.
Thinking of implementing a feature to allow users to tweet/FB if they stayed under their point value for the day. For example - "I only used 80% of my allotted Weight Watchers points today!"
Just trying to think of new features, but those will come in a later update.

That's a good idea! Or when someone hits milestones like each 5 pounds lost.
I have a question:is Class 4 too slow for a 32GB? It's so cheap...and I need more GB for my Atrix!
Haven't seen you in our party here. Well, I just double checked what I had in my OG Droid, it was a Class 2. Don't think I ever put apps on my SD Card, so unless that's a priority for you, Class 4 may be a touch slow. If it's just media, you should be fine.
Whelp, seems to be quite popular. I'm all for au natural, but whatever women need to feel better about their image is cool.
Found out one of our local celebrity chefs, Jose Andres, made the list. They listed him as an activist which I think is awesome. He's done a lot for helping hunger, nutrition that owning a ton of great restaurants almost seems like an afterthought.

My opinion - There is an occasional need to 'hold the jiggle in' really well which is when Spanx come in handy. Otherwise I have to say they are not my favorite thing because they are so restrictive. I know I know, that's its job.

I'm thinking it might be slow I want to throw in some movies on the SD Card.
