"Locals have said it sounds like a large diesel truck idling, a loud boom box or the bass vocals of Barry White."
LOL
lol, although I'm happy I don't live in Windsor. Just imagine living where you are constantly bombarded with low frequency humming noises

The so-called Windsor hum, described as a low-frequency rumbling sound, has rattled windows and knocked objects off shelves in this border community just across the Detroit River from the Motor City.
I am surprise how the Cdn politians are taking this thing really seriously.

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.
95% done with my iOS app. Need to do some graphics and some icons and fix one issue, but I think it may be a Titanium bug more than code related. I am trying to come up with a solution that fixes it right now, but waiting to hear back from the support team about it. iOS apps need different size icons so gotta work on that tonight. Pretty stoked to get it tested on devices.
Have a ton of ideas for V1.1 including doing an iPad SplitView style and social media integration. But i'd rather just get it in the app store and approved/denied by Apple.

Basically, Siruius xm just released a new apk (first one in forever) but their supported device list is very small. It works flawlessly on the gnex and I wanted to put it on my Asus Transformer running ICS. To do so, I downloaded a free app called File Expert. Then I clicked on the app tab in File Expert and checked the box next to the app that I wanted to save the apk for. It then backed up the apk to / mnt/sdcard/backup_apps. I was able to then email it to myself and open it on the other device. Now we can listen to XM on the tablet as well. This might also be a good solution for when you do not want to upgrade an app, you could save the apk file of the app you are currently using, then allow it to update. If you don't like it, you just re-install the old version. Maybe this can be done with Titanium, I tried, but was not able to figure it out. It did not show it backed up as an apk. File Expert worked great, I can think of a lot of reasons you might want to save an apk file.
That's another way to do it - glad you got it resolved.

Hope everything works out Dread. Sounds pretty bad, but keep your head up and pull through it.

Read this yesterday - what a good article. I remember when he traded his iPhone for a car and extra iPhones. Pretty interesting stuff in there.

Facebook - no. YouTube - yes. But only by going to it directly. It gets blocked if trying to go via a link.
I can still get to iwastesomuchtime.com though!
But he said Youtube wasn't blocked and streaming radio is. If I were a network admin, I'd reverse that. Streaming radio might take up 50MB/hour, if that. You could easily surpass that in 10 minutes of youtube.
They found a Copperhead snake in our office building over the weekend, fairly close to my cubicle. I've been paranoid all day yesterday and this morning and am keeping my feet off the ground and out from under my desk and anywhere else I can't see as much as possible. Snakes freak me out.

If BB10 is similar to the Playbook OS then I don't need to do any development at all except convert my Android app with BB's tool. I don't do Blackberry development and probably won't unless Titanium supports it (currently in Beta). If/when it has Titanium support I can just export my iOS project to Blackberry format and it should work.

Nah, tons of wildlife around where I work. Kind of like a wildlife preserve since there is no hunting allowed on the almost 1,000 acres the site owns. See tons of geese, deer, foxes, racoons, etc...

Hmmm, who knew. Usually don't even administer antivenom for a copperhead bite. Weak venom compared to other pit vipers and often strike with a dry bite as a warning before a venomous bite.

Well, there's perks to working for a Hotel Management Firm...every two or three months, we have company wide parties where they serve beer, wine and martinis with gourmet appetizers and expensive cheese! lol
I don't know about anyone else, but I always seem to be tired. No matter what I do be it eating somewhat healthier, sleeping 8 hours, sleeping 4 hours, and some exercise. I was looking around on the internet and started finding a lot of info about juicing; nothing but fresh fruit and vegetables. I then found a documentary called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. To my surprise Amazon Instant Video had it to watch for free. It was really interesting. I would have to say that the "fat, sick and nearly dead" doesn't really pertain to me. Well, I think once we're born we are all nearly dead. LOL! I do, however, like the idea of detoxing the body. So. Hopefully my juicer arrives today and for the next 15 days I will be fasting. The only thing that will enter my body is fuit and vegetable, either raw or juiced and water. The guy that did movie did it for 60 days!

My mother-in-law was bitten by one when she was younger, with very light effect thankfully.
Also when I was ~8 years old, we were playing outside at my grandparents house, and discovered a nest of baby snakes, and were quite happy to play with them, letting them squirm through our fingers and such. Until of course my grandfather came over to see what we had found and realized we were playing with copperheads... Haha!
I am intrigued by snakes, they are such interesting creatures IMO.

Power to you halon, I couldn't survive a week without meat. I actually do the Juice+ think to keep up with my fruits and veggies.

Lucky you weren't bitten yourselves several times over. YIKES! Not intrigued by snakes at all. If they find another in our building while I'm here, I'm taking a sick day for my own mental health's sake. I'd go nuts.
