I usually just drink one Dr. Pepper per day. Other than that, it's water all day and I might have a glass of tea if we eat out on the weekend.

Anti, you should do a couple of quarter marathons this summer It's good training for your half marathon I signed up for a quarter marathon in July
Last night was just under 42 minutes, so about the same pace as you.

And the problem with living in Southeast Georgia, there are no competitive runs from now until late October due to the heat. Also makes training brutal, especially since my schedule doesn't allow me to run before dawn, when most people do in the summer. Usually still upper 80s at 8:30pm when I try to start.

Morning all!!

Anti - good luck with your running. I have yet to make 3 miles in less than 45 minutes but I'll get there eventually.

PupGiven- I hope you went with bacon

Roze - I knew you were a little devil like the rest of us

Stigy - nice car!

SVT - Dr Pepper is not to be given up for anything short of saving your life

I think that catches me up.

I love diners. We still have a few around.

I am going to get take out because if you don't finish your food when you eat in, they write "food wimp" on your takeout tray and paint one of you fingernails pink.

Wow, somehow I managed 10/10, don't even know how. Anyone else take this test?

Hahaha, that's hilarious, I wish we had a place like that in Boston! There are very few diners here, and I think only one place that stays open 24/7. I've really grown to love this city, but the lack of late-night options for food (or really anything) makes me sad.

One of my favorite things about NJ is the amount of diners. You can get food at any time of night and its always delicious.

The funny thing is Oxford is the birthplace of Clara Barton (founder of the American Red Cross) and Elliot P. Joslin (diabetes research pioneer) and Carl's diner puts us on the map.

Here is some of his mobile advertising. These can be seen all over central MA.

And a youtube of the birth of the little one.

Forgot we had one "true" diner in DC. It was trucked down here from NY I believe. And, yeah, it closed after just a couple years of being open Never had a chance to try it out.

Haha, you're probably right. I consume more junk food than my dogs. I checked out Blue and Blue Wilderness (trying to go grain free) but the calorie content per cup was about 100 calories lower. I think what I ended up getting was around 460 calories per cup where the Blue Wilderness was around 360, meaning the dogs would have to eat about 25% more food. Not sure about the other Blue products though, they may have higher calorie content. Was specifically looking for salmon/fish main ingredient due to a couple of our dogs having skin issues. What sucks is, we'll probably go through 50-75 pounds per month. Depends on if they adjust to eating less because of the calorie content or not.

Hey, any other Diablo 3 fans in here??

For those who don't know, Diablo is an RPG series made by a company called Blizzard; Diablo 2 was a massive success upon its release in 2000, it also had an expansion in 2001. It was a huge part of my life in high school, lol. In 2008, Blizzard announced that they were working on Diablo 3, and they have subsequently made their fans wait another 4 years for this game to finally be released, it's due out May 15. I will be buying it at midnight as soon as the doors open.

I remember playing Warcraft and Warcraft II in the 90's. I still fire up a WCII game here and there.

Nice. I played WCIII briefly, but truth be told, I'm not very good at RTS games. I can't multitask, lol. I would build up forces, and totally forget about the scouts and other units I had sent out. I'm much more suited for Diablo-type games.

They sound about like the Gran Turismo series. I waited like 5 years for GT5 and by the time it came out I was married and didn't have time to play it, lol. It was supposed to launch with the PS3 or shortly after but it didn't come out till 2010.

I'll have to look into that! Do they prescription stuff too? I have one dog that has to eat prescription stuff because he's prone to bladder stones.

One of our dogs (the one not on Rx food) and all of our foster dogs eat Blue Buffalo. I think it's the best quality food for the price (which isn't cheap, but when you compare it to other quality foods, it's pretty reasonably priced). Feeding our little old lady pug the limited ingredient fish and potato formula has allowed us to get her off ALL of her allergy medications (shots and pills) that she was on for almost her entire 8 year life before we got her.

Anyone know of an eBook store that sells ePub books?

Was thinking of grabbing a Nook or Kindle, but realized I have my Playbook and can use that for reading of eBooks on my commute.

I think the sony bookstore does ePub. You could also try smashwords.com, a lot of independent authors self publish there. Plenty of good free books and books for cheap. Most books are available in multiple formats (HTML, PDF, ePub, etc.)

It was a huge part of my life in high school, lol. In 2008, Blizzard announced that they were working on Diablo 3, and they have subsequently made their fans wait another 4 years for this game to finally be released, it's due out May 15. I will be buying it at midnight as soon as the doors open.

I've been enjoying Skyrim.

TV talk

I've had a Sony LCD 120hz for about 2 years now. I love this tv. I'll probably get a new one next year? What I would like is a Mitsubishi DLP, either 82" or 92". I might even just go projector for over 100".

Why not just buy a Jumbotron from a stadium that's being renovated? Good Grief!

Actually, I don't have room for anything more than 55" or I would go to about 72"... anything bigger than that, I would need a dedicated theater room. And me no have.

If you're going to pop for a 80-90" DLP, you might as well just go for a HD Projector and 120" screen. The difference is amazing, especially with good surround.
