I have plans to finally get to activating this new Nexus Verizon sent me...Only problem is, is that I got it because my current Nexus has a broken USB port and I can't unroot/relock it without USB. Thinking about just sending the replacement back to them and letting them know I don't need it. I don't want to get charged retail for this...Haha

S-S-S-SUCKS!
Isn't there an app that lets you do this stuff via Bluetooth to the PC? That would be a very handy app... but then again, apps wouldn't help with bootloader stuff because it's outside the OS. Man, what a pickle to be in. Sorry about the USB port thing...

Yeah...I am not happy. The farthest I have gotten is being able to access ADB commands via Wifi, but as soon as I get into the bootloader to do anything, it is all fastboot commands and it doesn't work....I guess I am going to have to send the replacement back. I have been looking for ways to do this for like 4 hours now and can't seem to find a way.
Yeah, it's a nice cool morning here too, love it! Supposed to get up into the upper 70s and sunny. Maybe I'll get out somewhere to watch the Preakness this afternoon. We have a local dive bar called The Red Derby and they usually go all out on derby days.

You know, it's entirely possible that some test technician, overloaded with work, will test the USB port, see that it doesn't function, and pass it on to the Samsung depot for repair/reprogramming without ever noticing that it's unlocked and rooted.
Just a thought that I'm sure you've already considered... but I'd personally put your odds at 60/40 of successfully keeping the new one and trading out the rooted one

I have an old rom I found in my downloads folder from December that at least is more stock than the Liquid themed rom that I am running. I know its just looks and if they just look at the phone info they will know, but every little bit helps right!?
And if they say something about the unlock symbol on boot up, I'll just tell them it came like that. It will work...NOT. Haha
Everybody seems to be having a busy morning; no activity yet (or simply because BB is still sleeping!).
Headed off to brunch with a good friend and her lovely dog, al fresco of course. Everyone have a great day; here's hoping to good weather for all!
Device(s): VZW Galaxy Nexus - rooted - ROM is JBSourcery - the best ROM I've ever used

It sure is a ghost town in here!
Texted the wife to see when she'd be home from work:
"ETA?"
"Never"
Yikes!
All the other friends have plans so I guess I'll just hang out here for the evening. Order some delivery and watch the Preakness.

With ya there, Chief. Just finished ordering Asian delivery, it's too hot outside to leave the A/C.
And just when is BB going to share the gory details?!?!

Got to finally see the One X today. That thing is one sexy phone. Too bad the Incr LTE looks like a piece.
Just loaded up Liquid 1.4 and boy does this thing fly (with Leans latest nightly OC'd to 1.6). Nice to have another fresh start on this guy.

Did you get your phone replaced? What happened?
I have been thinking about using Liquid... how is she?
Nah, I was just in BB so I figured I'd check it out. I didn't see the One S though.
Liquid is working really well. I don't see a huge difference between it and AOKP. Liquid on my OG Droid was insanely themed but was one of the best. I'm glad Devs are embracing ICS as it was meant to be.
On a side note, as much as I love the 180 degree rotation, I found its biggest flaw. Answering a phone call when it is upside down doesn't work too well. As Jobs said, "You're holding it wrong"!

Right on! I am too attached to AOKP to even flash anything right now, but it is sooooo tempting. If this wedding I am at doesn't start soon I just may !

You're not kidding! A young person once asked me how much it costs to get married.
My response?
"I have no idea: I'm still making the payments!"
We had a very clear budget and were able to make some wise choices (since we both work in the food service industry).
I think we actually spent more on the honeymoon!

Haha, yep. Sometimes I'm just too lazy to spell out Best Buy AND think of the double meaning.

My wedding was free, other than the marriage license. Just a small ceremony in the church with family, my grandfather officiated, and just went to a local restaurant for our reception. No honeymoon. (we had a 6 month old with a major medical issue). But I don't regret one bit, we aren't the type to show off anyways.

So just checking up, Copacetic, how close is Alberto coming to you? I remember the models saw something there a week ago, but had been out of the loop weather wise, so was surprised to see a TS out there. Thankfully, not expected to be very strong.

Hey Anti, thanks for asking. It should pass just offshore sometime Monday night. Looks like winds about 50 knots. As today progressed you could see the surf pick up a little, but nothing significant. We are still twelve days out for season and have our first named storm, Hello Alberto!

We were married on a tropical island in the Caribbean, just the two of us, God, a minister and an amazing Rainbow! :-)

Its eaten a full battery in about 6 hours doing nothing! The phone is warm, even with the screen off. I have re booted, pulled the battery and it keeps draining. Could be the battery going junk, but why is the phone warm!? I have fill signal on wifi and the network extender.
Earlier the screen popped on and stayed on for about 5 minutes. This is not good. A fully charged battery gone in less then 6 hours. If the other battery does the same thing, then I know my phone has gone junk. If that is the case, I don't know what to do...
The only thing I have done was flash the new radios a few days ago. Never had a problem until tonight

How strong is your signal? Generally, if the phone gets warm (and mine does on occasion), it's because I'm streaming Rhapsody and browsing the web; ie. using a lot of data.
Do you have several accounts syncing? You're only on the new radios, not a custom ROM? OC'd?

I flashed the new radios a week or so ago and have not noticed anything draining quicker or getting warm. I would look at what dread said, something else is syncing, or running. I also use a network extender when we are in the mountains and i have not noticed it creating any problems, however I have not been there since i flashed the new radios. We are going up next weekend so can report back if it creates any issues with the new radios. And no, you did not miss BB's Birthday because it is today.....
Happy Birthday BB! Glad you are having such a great time!
Whew, we had a busy day, went to the state park nearby, rented pedal boat, had a picnic, went fishing, and went geocaching. The last one did it, the trail always looks shorter on the map but we found it finally, and it made the kids day to find the "treasure". We will have to do that more often. Hope everyone else has a great day!
