Nice weekend. I got to see my oldest sister and nephew for the first time since Xmas. I took him to see Avengers. My 3rd viewing and it is as awesome as the first.
A nexus update. It looks like its behaving better. I charged that battery with the external charger. After plugging the phone strait in to the wall and letting it charge, it seems like that did the trick.
Now google music, a few times it will play like 45 seconds and then quit.

^More confirmation of my feelings about Motorola...they're crap.
Hope everyone had a good weekend! I was pretty darn busy myself, but it was really good. Spent the weekend with the in-laws. Hadn't seen my neices in over a month, the youngest is now walking which is very cool. Got to babysit them all night on Saturday night. Father-in-law is letting me borrow his tractor and attachments long term while I get some stuff done on some property we bought. The truck pulled like a champ the whole 3 hour drive home. 16 foot tandem axle trailer loaded with small-ish tractor, box blade, mower deck, and close to 30 16-foot 2x6s. Ford trucks rule.

Good morning everyone - hope you all had a great weekend.
Didn't really pop in here much (just light reading and some Guide stuff) but otherwise I like this no internet/forum thing on the weekend. Keeps me sane and regular.
Put in an application for a new apartment on Saturday with the girlfriend - so hoping to hear back about that today. Gotta figure out logistics of moving, but its not far and I plan on getting a storage unit so gonna temporarily store stuff in there for now.
Sunday was the g/f's moms birthday so we went to the casino Saturday night, which was fun - only lost about $50 so not a bad night at all. Sunday we BBQ'd and me and the g/f made Pineapple Upside Down cupcakes - talk about delicious. I'll get the recipe from her later if anyone wants to give them a shot. Not terribly difficult at all and they're super delicious.

Leap- motion control. Very cool. Claiming to be better than what is currently available and it only costs $70. Found a youtube video but there is more in the link.

Hello and morning to all...made it back from a long weekend at Yosemite, stiff and a little sore. Lots of things to do while we were there, and one big hike...should have been about 8 miles but with tourist season in full swing...turned into about 11 1/2 miles....had a great time and needed the time away.
But now back to the grind. We shall see how our backups at work did and what did not get done or done properly...oh wells. Another long weekend coming up, or at least 3 days...so something to look forward to anyways.
Since I missed it...Happy BDay BB!!!!
Have a great week!

I have been thinking about using Liquid... how is she?
Liquid is the ROM I always seem to return to. I sort of flit back and forth between that and AOKP. The customizations available in both are very similar, but Liquid seems to give me better battery life (in my very unscientific opinion).

My wedding was free also. Took a 1/2 day off from work on a Monday, went to the magistrate's house in jeans and t-shirts, then honeymooned at Wal-Mart. Okay, we didn't really honeymoon there, we just went to get some crab legs for dinner. We honeymooned five months later on a cruise. It was the perfect kind of wedding for us.

That's gorgeous! That's a wallpaper worthy shot right there!
BB, hope the date/birthday weekend has lived up to and beyond your expectations. I expect pictures. G-rated, of course.

BTW I need to start running again.
Gonna give RunKeeper a shot - seems that a lot of people like it.

No clue how big the airport is...but it's half the price to fly into Kansas City, MO and then drive to Omaha (3 hours).
I wish the size of the airport was the only factor. But I recently got a flight out of Augusta GA to Minneapolis, for $100 cheaper than out of Atlanta, even though the Augusta flight required a connection through... Atlanta. No sense, haha.

WOW!!! I really feel bad for him. In the grand scheme of things, that's miniscule yet he gets hit with a life changing fine. I would never be able to pay my way out of that much.

Who the hell would marry Mark Zuckerberg? I understand they've been dating forever but really? Supposedly it was all about timing it when Facebook went public.

Yeah, had to wait till he was actually worth billions before she could sign the prenup

A business must follow the laws of any country in which they have a business presence. Thus, if Google and Motorola want to operate in China, they must follow Chinese laws and need their approval. China is one of the world's biggest smartphone markets. In this age of multinational corporations, it's not really accurate to think of it in an "us vs. them" mindframe.
IIRC, another reason Google acquired Motorola was for a large number of their Chinese-held patents.
