Gah, knew it was really simply. Just wanted someone to tell me cause I'm too lazy to do the work myself.

Good morning all.

Pretty let down about the Devils game last night. Not giving up hope just yet, but there has only been one team to come back to win the Stanley Cup after being down 3 games and that was exactly 70 years ago. At least it was a good run and this was definitely the Kings year so good for them.

Pretty chilly in NJ today - not sure where this weather is coming from.

Enjoy the cool weather while you still have it, Stigy! We're supposed to have record temps this summer.

Yeah, Chief, as much as I'd love to take post 15K, I will gladly cede it to BB.
Also, just loaded up B38. Restoring apps now, ready to give it a whirl!

Well, folks, don't lose hope. The Android 4.0.4 update to build IMM76 is continuing to roll out from Verizon. My phone got the update shortly after midnight. I was heading to bed when I decided to check yet again for the update. Having experienced a long chain of "Your system is up to date messages," I really expected nothing. To my surprise, the update was available. Now I was stuck: I had to stay up and let it update.

The update took longer than I remember the 4.0.2 update from the day I got the phone. IIRC, the download was 39.8MB.

I've enjoyed a few of Wes Anderson's films. Rushmore, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Royal Tenenbaums are my favorites. Couldn't sit through Life Aquatic and haven't seen Darjeeling Limited. He has a big signature style for his movies. Sometimes I love it, sometimes it's a bit over the top.

I think this is only in Los Angeles, but has anyone seen or heard about Cirque du Soleil: Iris? Or in general has anyone been to any Cirque shows? The wife and I haven't been and are trying to decide on that in LA or Les Miserables in San Fran on our trip.

We saw Les Mis a couple years ago at a great local theater. Highly recommend. Wife saw it in NYC when she was younger and said our more intimate show was better.

I have been to Zarkana by Cirque and went to see a show they made into a special movie showing. Both were good but the newer shows seem to get away from the intense acrobatics and try to tell a story through many mediums like mime, drawing in sand, lyrical type dancing...
I also went to see Le Reve in Vegas which was done by one of the original producers of Cirque. That was amazing and I'd send anyone to it.
I saw Les Miserables in NYC when I was 17 and it is one of the most amazing shows ever.
So my vote goes for Les Mis.

I saw a Cirque show years ago in Disney IIRC. Last month I saw Les Mis. If I had my choice between the two, go with Les Mis.

For any San Francisco Giants fans out there, you guys got a steal last night in the MLB Draft. SEC Pitcher of the Year Chris Stratton slipped all the way down to the 20th pick somehow.

Yes, Han, I am FINALLY unlocked, rooted & ROMmed.

It's either a sign of the end of the world, or that I was just FED UP with Verizon's bean-dippin' around with the OTA.

Or both

I chose not to underestimate Verizon's sheer stupidity despite this being a supposedly "pure Google" phone, so I unlocked and rooted on day 1.

Hey folks...been absent for a while here - real life has been kicking my butt, time-wise! Anyway, I woke up to the 4.04 update, tried it, but got the little android on his back with the red triangle on top of him. I'm rooted/unlocked, but still stock otherwise. Has anyone figured out what's causing this OTA from coming through? I REALLY don't have a lot of time to jack with this thing...just need it to work without constant badgering to do the update!

Also, did you flash the leaked radios? I know you said you were stock, but I had the same issue and had actually forgotten that I wasn't "stock." I flashed back to the .02 radios and it worked like a charm.

Chief - I hate to sound so ignorant, but how would I know for sure? I don't see it under apps, nor do I see a folder for it.

No, I didn't change the radios...still the original stock radios.

It wouldn't be in your apps or on the SD card. This is a system recovery image. You could check by powering down your Nexus, then hold down BOTH Volume+ and Volume- buttons while hitting the power button at the same time. All three simultaneously. This will put you in bootloader mode.

Use the Volume - button to select Recovery Mode and hit the Power Button. Then tell us what you see. If ClockworkMod Recovery comes up, then that's what you've got.

EDIT: Oh BTW I'm not sure about the stock recovery, but there is an option to reboot the phone normally

You just need to flash back to the stock recovery.

there is a file that you renamed or deleted for CWM to stick. Simply rename the file back to the original name, reboot the phone and the bootloader will flash the stock recovery back (i think). It should be in the All things Root sticky.

Well, you can do what I did:

Download the AOKP Rom build 38, and gapps, and flash those puppies

I LOVE THIS ROM!

I can guide you step by step to doing that. If you want to revert to the stock recovery image, someone else is going to have to chime in because I don't know how to do that one.

Ten posts to go, keep an eye on the post count for BB. That 15k is hers.

BTW NCTurner, Unforgiven was pupkact, seeing as you weren't around for a bit. I'm looking for better instructions for flashing back to the stock recovery now.

We made it!!
Many months of waiting for the phone and now almost 6 months later we have made a lot of new friends, learned a lot about our phones and one another and I predict we can keep the comraderie up for a long time to come.
