Which is just a little more than what it's worth: well done!
I'm kidding, of course... to all the fruit fans lurking about

The problem I have with the Nexie in general, is if she is in the dock in my car and I speak to her, she can not hear me over the noise in the car. I have to hold the bottom of the phone to my mouth and speak. I don't have this problem in a quiet environment, only in the car. Same issue hapens on speakerphone in the car. (speakerphone on the Nexie, not BlueTooth).
I haven't tried Robin in the car yet. Now if SpeakToIt could incorporate some of Robin's gesture recognition and be completely hands-off, The Chief would be a happy dog!

Wahoo...I finally fixed an annoying pop up notification for gmail on my desktop. I manage everything through outlook and sync that back to gmail, so I prefer to not get double notifications. Any way, I disabled notification in gmail and in chrome and the notifications continued. Finally, I went into Google talk and disabled it there as well and wallah! no more desk top gmail notifications. Just passing it along in case anyone else has the issue!

RIP Ann Rutherford.
She played Careen O'Hara, youngest of the O'Hara sisters in Gone With The Wind. She was 94.
Now only FOUR credited cast members are left among us.
EDIT: Say what you will about Madonna... but what you CAN'T say is that she's pretty easy-going on tour. Look at the laundry list of things a venue manager has to do to make her happy!
Guys/girls, don't misunderstand... I'm 40 going on 12, trust me. My wife will attest to that. She calls me her old man, but I'm very young at heart!
I just finished building an airplane for a friend. This is his FPV (first-person view) airplane. This is where there's a camera on the plane and we fly the plane while viewing the camera footage through goggles. We're hoping to fly "follow the leader" soon and I'll be sure to post some footage!

I just took a closer look at the s3 and realized the us one is crippled! The international version has a quad core CPU and Verizon is using a dual core chip. Not sure about the other carriers. Why is this? Galaxy nexus part duex

Yeah, but the US one has 2 Gig of RAM vs 1!
Morning everyone! Celebrating our 1 year anniversary today. Unfortunately we're both working so no actual celebrating. (basically the story of our lives)
We'll do something fun this weekend though.

Yeah, don't worry about the processor, it's not going to hold this phone back at all.

Hey all hope everyone's weekend was great...Thanks for all the Birthday wishes, I had a great double duty day of fame yesterday! Went to brunch with the soon to be in laws and grandparents and my kids...at Brophy Bros, a seafood restaurant at the harbor here in Santa Barbara...then took a 3 hour nap...wow!!
Then dinner was at a friends college graduation party...where they surprised me with a HUGE cupcake/cake with a candle and a song. Then home to presents with kids and the season premiere of Falling Skies...
(And in response...No, PUP/Unforgiven is not my father, although his Ryan sounds adorable and is much younger than me...)
The only other thing that happened yesterday that I did miss was that my baby brother graduated from UCSD yesterday...very proud of him. BS in Cognitive Sciences. Unfortunately travel plans were changed...but was there in(Technological) spirit...as the rest of my family kept us updated with pictures and video!

Thanks. The lady should be pleasantly surprised. We generally don't surprise eachother with any gifts (yeah, we're boring like that ) but I put her card in her purse to take to work, have flowers being sent to her work and got her a nice gift certificate to a spa to get a massage (which she desperately needs). Should make her day!
Lawrence is NE of there, about 30min west of Kansas City (home of Kansas University). I worked at a bakery there (one of the best in the country). Damn, now I want some of their kalamata olive loaf.

The contest is based on THANKS....could you guys check it out and maybe help me out? THANKS so much!!
Please Help Me WIN this ARM Cortex M0 Development Board so that I can build my Salt Water Fish Tank Controller. Rules: the post/idea that has the most THANKS
Thank you!!!
Parents got me the ice cream maker attachment for my KitchenAid stand mixer for my birthday. I'm stoked about making some ice cream now!
Awesome! Let us know how it is. I got a KA for my graduation present. I have a couple attachments for it. They're generally really well made (if not really pricey ).

Haha, yeah, they're pricey but very well made indeed. We've got the juicer and ice cream maker as of now. I want the food grinder next.

Goooooooooood morning everyone.
Super busy weekend with the move, but we are 98% done and all in one weekend. Such a good feeling. We took the pickup truck over there and in 3-4 total trips we got pretty much everything. Just need to go back and clean the floors and vacuum and such and then we will be out of there. My current landlord said if I get out there and early and let the new tenant move in she will reimburse me for the days I am not living in the apartment, which will be a decent amount back. So excited for the new place and we got our kitten yesterday - he's definitely timid, but he's opening up a bit.
Got Optimum installed yesterday too and went with the "Boost" package which gets me ~50Mbps down and that's always very nice to have. Gotta setup my desktop and put it to the test tonight.
Hope everyone's weekend, birthdays and Father's Day was spectacular.

Yeah, I have that one. Honestly, I'd just give it to you as I've only used it a couple times.
Haha, we've only used the juicer once or twice too...not as useful as we thought it would be. I think once we have kids the food grinder would be great. Would allow us to make our own baby food.

That would be a great purpose. We have a Vitamix blender (love it), so any sort of pureeing can be done there.

Those things are ridiculous expensive! Very nice though!

Done I love homemade ice cream and living in the south, we make it quite frequently. My family has tons of recipes that have been handed down so I see it being used a good bit.

I laugh when I see all the talk about the KitchenAid attachments - its the one thing from my defunct marriage that I refused to give up. Its in storage because my Mom has one that I use. I always wanted the attachments though. Maybe one day....
Happy Anniversary deadnatty08 and Happy Belated Birthday Ryan!
Good morning all, we did Father's Day at my house yesterday. Grilled burgers, tater tots, and banana splits for dessert. Oh, and plenty of alcohol since I was putting up with my in-laws. It was low key and easy prep work.
My Razr Maxx will be here today. I'm both excited and sad, but at least I can try it out to see if it's for me. I'm sure I'll keep it, but I will give it a thorough test-drive before doing so. I'm going to stick my toe in the rooting waters because I want to move over some saved games from the Nexus to the Razr. I've got a post in the rooting section but may drop back in here for advice.

Good luck, Lucky! My wife's Bionic needs some work itself. PM'd a Guide who helps in that area as I think I'm just going to unroot it and let her take the OTAs. She doesn't care about the ROM, just wants it to work.
BTW, there wasn't a chance you could hold out for the SGS3?
