Sounds pretty cool. Wonder if that can be ported to the Nexus?
That would be great, a briefing alarm!!!
Morning all, so I was supposed to do cabinetry yesterday, but got roped into installing a friends cable box and wifi at their new apartment instead...and she paid by taking my other half and I out for a late lunch and drinks. Oh well, it was about 90 here yesterday so an air conditioned bar and drinks...or cabinetry?? Yeah the drinks won out....time to do the cabinetry today.
I also got a home brew beer starter kit for my birthday last weekend and going to give that a try today. Looking forward to seeing the process...and for some spent grains to make bread with!!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

Morning everyone!!! Yesterday was a day here - found a bathing suit that fits and so did my daughter. Then spent the day with my best friend, her husband and my brother and his wife. Played Cards Against Humanity and had so much fun. Today my cousin and his friend are coming back from a paintball weekend and spending the night before heading back to Virginia Beach tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone! Had a nice dinner and visit time with my parents and brother and his family last night. Wish it could have been longer, but they came up to visit my brother short notice, and this weekend my schedule was awful... Oh well, such is life.
Need to do some yardwork, but it is miserably hot and humid outside today. I really wish I could stay inside.. we will see what happens. Alright, well I told my son I would play the wii with him, so I am out.
Happy Birthday Copacetic!

Hi folks... and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Copacetic!
Well, if you couldn't tell by the lack of curiously irrelevant posts, I've been completely offline for the last 3-1/2 days attending a Disabled American Veterans convention. SO:
Other than a tease about Jelly Bean coming to the Nexus (which likely won't happen by Verizon OTA but WILL happen via custom ROM), what's new?

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a perfect day, we spent the day at a birthday party for our one year old granddaughter, it was a lot of fun even if she did not have a clue. We are heading over to Virginia beach in the morning to see my brother, he is a boat captain and spends most of the summer there, perfect end to a great weekend! Hope everyone had a super Sunday!

Happy 'burfday' Copacetic! Sounds like you had a nice weekend!
Now can someone please tell my son that he must take at least one nap today??? Just one, that is all daddy asks...sheesh.

Hmm, that is sort of cool. I'm more intrigued by the "Pop Up Play" feature, a picture-in-picture/splitscreen that lets you, for example, watch a video and send a text simultaneously:
Random thought:
I wonder if BabyBlues thinks I am stalking her as I keep accidentally clicking her name instead of hitting the "go to new post" icon while on the nexus.

Yeah, but PopUp Play is rather... limited. On the Verizon SGS3 web page the PopUp Play feature has asterisks and if you go the the fine print it says "*Not compatible with Netflix, YouTube, Media Hub or DRM protected videos."
Not compatible with Netflix or YouTube? FAIL.

Oh wow, yeah, that's a biggie. Well no surprise that they don't mention that in the commercial, but that definitely limits the potential and usefulness.
On an unrelated note, a thought just occurred to me - does anyone know the status of the 4.0 updates for the other major manufacturers? Have the Rezound or Razr officially received 4.0 yet?
Morning everyone! We're having a lot of construction done in the restaurant that's supposed to be finished by the end of lunch time. I'm not holding my breath though. Should make for a pretty chill evening.

Morning all! Well gonna be another rainy couple of days, with Debby deciding to throw the bird at the NHC and the models and head our way instead. No complaints here as long as the tornados stay away.

Morning folks. Happy late B-day Copacetic! Hope it was a good one.
Regarding the status of ICS for other devices. AT&T Galaxy S2 still hadn't seen it as of Saturday. Rezound still has not seen the update either. My Galaxy Tab 7 plus hasn't seen the update yet and isn't scheduled to until sometime in July/August. I haven't picked it up in over a month and am thinking about selling it. It was absolutely horrid with 3.2 on it and touchwiz on top of that. With 2 smart phones, a desktop, a laptop, and a new iPad...the G-Tab never gets used. I've been very dissatisfied with it.
Had a pretty decent weekend myself. Got home on Friday and immediately loaded up the tractor to go mow our plot of land...by mow I mean attempt to bushog with a finishing mower deck...actually worked pretty good, just took forever because it really isn't wide enough. 4+ acres takes a long time to mow without something pretty substanial. Even longer when you have to go fairly slow due to the amount of saplings and tough brush growing.
Saturday the wife and I went shopping and just for kicks and future reference, went to test drive the new Ford Explorer. Very nice vehicle. Yesterday, went to church and kind of rested in between. Sort of a rough go of it yesterday after getting home from church. Had some things kind of bubble back up to the surface that have been happening for a few months now. No problems of either of our own creation and nothing that is causing any problems with our marriage...just some things that are hard to deal with. Just life basically.
I'm one of those crazy people who actually enjoys mowing. I guess it's because I do it so infrequently since we don't own any land.
We're still pretty much newly weds so no RL issues yet. Hope it all turns out for the better for you Geek!
Anti...see if you can send TS Debby this way. We've only had 1" of rain all month. None in forecast for the next 10 days either. It's boke 100 here the last 2 days and eventhough the weather channel forecast says 99 today, local stations are saying 102+ in most areas.

Good morning everyone and happy Monday - got my Starbucks to get me going this morning. Definitely a case of the Mondays and this gloomy NJ weather is not helping at all. I feel horrible for my kitten because we rescued him out of the rain and now he's home alone in the rain and he's terrified of thunder and lightning - I wish I could be home with him.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Glad to be back in the thread though - just have so much unpacking and organizing to do still and still worried about this bug situation. Gotta fill some more holes that pipes come through in the apartment.
Yesterday went out to PA for a VW show - some really awesome cars there and saw some great friends. Wish I grabbed a pic of my car because I washed and detailed it for the first time in a few months. Polished up the lips and it was looking real clean. Here's one from the carwash Saturday night though - they have the best soap ever.

Good morning! Hope everyone had a good weekend! Friday night was nothing exciting, just out to dinner and back home to watch a movie. We watched Real Steel. It was okay, nothing exciting. 'Tis the beauty of Netflix.
Saturday evening, one of our club member's church asked us to fly our airplanes at the kickoff of their aviation-themed VBS. We flew a few small planes, some large planes, an aerobatic heli, and a candy drop. The kids and parent both had a great time! A buddy of mine captured a few pictures so I'll post them as soon as I get them. One guy had a dead stick (his engine cut off mid flight... or as we call it, "came un-crunk" ) but he landed without incident. My other friend landed a bit too hot and ran into a piece of rebar sticking out of the ground. Why that piece of rebar was sticking out of the ground at a place children play soccer is beyond me. It chewed into his left wing but he said it's an easy repair. It wasn't too hot but it was very humid. We were all soaking wet when it was over. After that, went to a friend's house as he was having a 30th birthday party for his girlfriend.
Went flying on Sunday, but came home early because I'm really making headway on my FPV heli and also putting my Blackhawk back together. Got a few hours in the workshop so me very happy.
@Copacetic, happy belated birthday! Sounds like it was a good one!
@Svt - Totally understand man. Every relationship goes through highs and lows. I hope things settle down and work out for you guys.

Totally unexpected present this morning at work. Today is the 150th anniversary of our company (UBS) so the Chairman and Group CEO sent out free watches to all employees. It's nice to work for a big company sometimes.
Dang, that's a sexy watch!
I remember my dad getting some anniversary like gifts when he worked for Polaroid. Though, none of them looked as nice as that one.
