well I guess we passed 20k.

On to the Galaxy Note II announcements: Samsung Galaxy Note II official with 5.5-inch screen and Android Jelly Bean (video preview) | The Verge

Supposedly new and improved S-Pen with hovering instead of having to touch - that's neat.

If those of you on JB Sourcery can report on any radio changes I'd appreciate it.

As to new phones, I'd seriously look at Bring your own device, not sure to which carrier since Verizon used to work well pre-nexus. Just can't get any radios to work in places I know have service and have had for years.

Don't trust Verizon after crippling my Nexus, late to ics, no support for wallet, "one way" Call disconnect issues.

What, are they going to wipe out a whole conversation for the sake of the thread matriarch getting a milestone post.

Don't worry about it, no one is upset. It's a fun little game, not the end of the Hole.

Far away, volcanoes erupt!

The clouds crack open and shatter like crystal - a schism forms - pterodactyls emerge and screech wildly.

For in a brief instant, the planet Earth itself turned backwards ever so slightly, skewing time, while forum gods brought inertial dampers to maximum power so that nearly none might notice.

As quickly as the transient started, the great winged beasts escaped back into the fracture, the sky healed, and the pyroplastic waves reversed themselves back into the mountains that becalmed themselves and became snow-capped once more.

And the only evidence of this mind-shaking event was the holder of the 20k slot for this, the Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole.

All hail the thread progenitor!

Good enough? ^.^

Well, you'll have to complain to the forum gods about that red text thing, not me.

They controlled the whole thing.

My dog and I just sat and watched.

Ask President Obama anything on Reddit today at 4:30PM ET | The Verge

Great idea, but Reddit's servers are straining right now - I'm sure the traffic must be crazy. If anyone's interested though, now's the time.

My Reddit app can barely load the comments.

I've never seen Reddit go down hard before, this may do it.

Evening everyone!
On the way home after a long day at work. Just saw the Note 2s specs and I would probably dump the Gnex for it.

I'm on phone/electronics hold until I get a job. Which might be longer than originally planned because today I found out that through Unemployment I may be able to take classes at the community college for little to no money on my part. My friend swears she'd hire me to do her website admin if I got the degree or certificate. So I figure if the state will pay for part of it I can at least try.

Hey everyone, Sorry I missed the 20k mark, congrats BB! I have enjoyed 20k with yall, here's to 20k more!

I am so crazy busy at work, I can spend hardly any time here. I miss spending time with yall anyways, and it's just worse when I miss stuff like this.

Oh well. On the bright side, we got approved for a home refinance today, and it's bringing my mortgage payment down 25%!! To have my biggest expense dropped that much is a huge relief.

An android camera? Nice! This has some interesting implications.

I have not played with my Nexus since I got the S3

Great idea, but Reddit's servers are straining right now - I'm sure the traffic must be crazy. If anyone's interested though, now's the time.

So I was talking to a friend on Gchat, and we decide to video chat. I remembered that Google had integrated G+ and Hangouts, but to my dismay, I found out that you had actually had to sign up for G+ just to use the Hangout feature. Not only that, but the service sucked! Everything was laggy, there was literally a 10 or 15 second delay between when we finished typing and when the other would see it. We'd type, then sit there and stare at each other blankly until the chat popped up.

Google, we get it. You really really want everyone to use G+. But if you're going to shove this crap down our throats at least make it work right!! FFS.

It's actually a statement by him that he is appealing to today's generation, rather than to yesteryears. It won him the vote in 2008 and most likely will again this November.

Sorry, had busier than expected day, had a wake to go to for a former boss and my son's grandfather (looooooooooooooong story). Will get up ASAP, will add that I have yet to find anything not working as should be. Quite a change from my ex Photon which Face Unlock among numerous features either crashed at startup or force closed.

Morning Anti! Have you watched any vids for the Note 2 or G Camera?
Camera looks a bit gimmicky, but I'm sure it'll appeal to some folks. Glad they put a 3G/4G radio in it, but in no way would I want more than a couple hundred Meg per month.
The Note really does look amazing. Unless the next Nexus can outdo it later this year, it might be my next...

Good Morning all and congrats to BB, you definitely earned it. So I am running sourcery 2.1, flashed Franco's kernel and the new radios. Here is my assessment so far: When dirty flashed 2.1 update with stock kernel, no issues. flashed Franco kernel, began to get some lagginess, but have left it now for several days to see if it will settle down. Flashed new radios last night; can't really tell much yet. Signal strength seems the same and hand off between wifi and 3g/4g, hmm , unsure if any difference here. I just flashed the radios last night so i will report back later today after i see what today shows. Good Morning All!

Good morning everyone - did some work on the car last night. New steering wheel is amazingly comfortable although I may have put it on one or two notches to the right as it needs to be a bit left to drive straight, but ill fix that one day. Took about 10 minutes total for the swap, not bad at all.

Morning all.
If you guys only read two links from the batch, make it these two! By far the most interesting IMO. I'd love to get some discussion going and hear what you all think about these - the Xperia T looks pretty awesome (and is Playstation Certified!), and the thought of a Moto phone with that insane Intel chip is.. mouthwatering. Opinions?

People are saying the Xperia T might be the Sony Xperia Nexus if rumors of multiple Nexus phones are true.

Yup! Haha, I guess I should have added an addendum to my thought - the Xperia T as a Nexus, and a Moto Nexus with the Intel Clover Trail chip. Enough to make you drool thinking of the holidays.
