I'm here!! I've been doing laundry and packing today. Finally done and now trying to figure out if I can make the early train tomorrow or if I have to take the later one. My brother said he'll get my car for me since he can't bring me in the morning. So now I'm just relaxing and watching a couple episodes of Revenge, which I wanted to watch last season but never got around to it.....Netflix to the rescue!!!

Evening all! Had success at the Verizon store today, they verified that my usb port was fried as was the charger and called called verizon customer support who then authorized them sending me a new phone and a new charger. I was able to relock my bootloader and flash a stock image. I have one issue, when I flashed the stock image it was suppose to have the correct radios for that image. However, my phone still lists the latest verizon radios with 4.02. Problem is, it keeps asking me to accept an OTA, when I do, It goes through the process until it ends up at the red exclamation point. I think the issue is you can not go from 4.02 to 4.04 if the radios are not also stock. But, I am no longer rooted and have no use of the usb port. So my question is, what now? Any thoughts are appreciated. I just want to send this one back completely stock.

Hey buddy. Don't sweat it I promise you they are not going to look at it once. The fact that the bootloader is now locked will give them no inclination to think twice about radios.

Yeah I totally understand. What Verizon is going to look for is the damage you are claiming. Since you're not calling in for software there's no need for someone to dig through the OS. Seriously don't sweat it you're going to be fine.

I gotta go with Jmar here. When I had my Omnia, the phone got thrown across the room and hit the door jamb. Of course it was a mess, restarts, screen flickers, etc. I called it in for warranty and sent it in. They never said a word, even though it had a noticeable curve in the phone (unlike ours, it was supposed to be straight ) as long as there is no water damage evident, or cracked screen, they accept most everything.

Morning Everyone! Looks like today is a beautiful day here on the coast! I have an interesting observation; before going to Verizon yesterday, I factory reset my device. After I left the store, I only signed into Google to have my contacts, calender and email with me as there is no point setting it back up for a couple of days. I will factory reset once again before i send it back. Ok, so here is the point of this ramble, WOW, is my battery life significantly better! Now, I must figure out what was the real cause of the drain before, so far this morning, I am two hours on a new battery and still at 97%. Previously, I was on vicious 2.2 with a few mods and had gone through Franco, Lean and Popcorn, all with so so battery life. Of course I also had a jillion apps, lol.

Anyone else see where Victoria's Secret had to remove a piece of...ahem..."clothing" from their site due to the uproar of it being racist?? Apparently it was a Geisha themed number that people deemed to be demeaning to Asian women.

I've thought about it, and I think I take offense to their little Angel outfit. It's demeaning to my Christian views /Sarcasm

I've watched a few episodes. Absolute trainwreck. Makes you wonder where child protective services are sometimes.

So I started getting AirPush notifications on my phone yesterday. I installed AirPush Detector and found out that it's my favorite notification bar notes app. Very sad.

Anyone have experience using something like Airblocker - Airpush Block to stop the problem? I'd rather not uninstall the app, it's super useful.

What do you mean getting AirPush notifications?

Never had them before? You're lucky. They're annoying ads.

EDIT: Good news, looks like AirPush actually has an opt-out policy.

Check out the PCWorld article, it explains the concept well. Basically it happens when an installed app decides to use AirPush to send you ads in your notification bar.

Razor, you can disable notifications in JB. I believe you long press the notification and you can just not allow it to raise notifications.

I CAN'T believe that came up in here. I live very close to those people, and in fact the one episode I watched, they had come to Statesboro's waterpark for the day. Let me just say, 99% of people in Georgia are pissed at what those people are doing to our image.

Unfortunately, as this app is a notification bar notes app, I do need it to have that capability. It shouldn't be a problem though, I exercised the AirPush opt-out. Thanks Pup.

Welcome to the problem 99% of New Jersey has with the show Jersey Shore. What really pisses me off is that none of them were from Jersey to begin with!
