I'm off for the weekend. I had yesterday off too but that was a complete runaround day. Left the house at 10:30 for my root canal. Even managed to get a report in here mid-process. From there I went straight to Evan's school do dismiss him for the doctor's. Thankfully no pink eye, but an infection none the less. Stopped at McDonald's fora bite to eat. Definitely not my favorite food, but one of those things you do with your son that is heartwarming. Off to the pharmacy we go where Mrs. Pup had the antibiotics ready. Get the first dose in him at the pharmacy, ruch home and get his Ghi on for karate, run out the door. Finally home at 6:30. I hate days like that.
My nexus narrowly avoid a bad situation last night at work. I had to cut a piece of metal off a locomotive that was over my head and as soon as I started cutting I knew something was going to happen. Being a boikermaker we are required to wear these green flame ******ant pants or overalls. I wear the overalls. Anyway. I piece of hot metal fell down and burned through the top of the overalls, through the two shirts I was wearing, on to my chest, rolled down, burned back through my shirts and overalls, came out and fell onto were my right pocket is, burned back through the overalls, through my pants that I wear underneath and right into the pocket that I keep my phone. Luckily I wrap my phone in white cloth to keep metal dust from getting to the speaker. From the burn mark on the it would have went right on the screen but it must have deflected it enough and it just went down my leg. I would rather suffer the pain from hot metal burning my skin then my phone being deformed.

Ouch, I'd stick with the hot peppers if I were you.

Happy Saturday...first day off in weeks since the wedding was so busy last week. Family has all gone home, taking a day to sit on the couch, review the gifts we received and figure out what else we need....and mentally start packing to move to Austin...choosing a house, figure out what will have to be garage sales before or what to take...and oh yeah, off to take a nap now....see nice day off. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!!

evening everyone! Been busy busy here, got the new nexus all set back up. Decided to stay on the ota stock jellybean after i unlocked and rooted. I have to say, even with all my apps loaded back and the set up the same with Apex, I am getting significantly better battery life on the stock ota of jellybean than i was on any of the many JB Roms I ran before. I am not sure why, is it this new phone or is this stock version and kernel really that good? Any one else have any experience with this?

I would imagine that with a new battery, battery life would be great. Glad things are working out!

Thanks JMar, no new battery, just a new phone. Like Pup, battery life on totally stock JB is really good, I went all day, normal usage for me which is pretty heavy, about 14 hours without any charging. I never made it more than 7 or 8 hours on any of the ROMs or kernels I tried.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Maybe - just MAYBE - it's because nobody KNOWS about 3DTV? We've enjoyed our 3DTV set for 9 months now and I had no idea there were 3D TV channels available. How about letting us know they exist and maybe we'll watch them?
So I just bought Broken Sword: Director's Cut from the Google Play sale, I've heard great things about it. It's downloading now - 533 MB! Still, I guess for only a quarter that's a good deal! I'll let you guys know how it is.

I downloaded it last night but have yet to try it out.

Hey Captain - you said to let you know next time I'm headed through the Atlanta airport.... I'll be there this coming Thursday but its only an hour and a half layover (if I remember correctly)
Thanks for the heads up BB, unfortunately I won't be.
i just got back from hunting defenseless antelope in Wyoming. I've been out of the loop for the last week with no cell phone or internet.

Pup,
I've been trying to catch up on my GNex using Tapatalk, but I had to log on with my computer so I could see for myself your shiny, new, pretty red color. Congratulations my friend!
