Evening all! Just tried out Tango tonight. It's interesting as a video chat because you load the app, it automatically tells you which of your contacts have it and then you can call them phone to phone. It has a bunch of other features, but I have not had time to check it out.

My original thought is to create a gmail account that I monitor...and give the login info to their moms...then allow them to log into Google Hangouts that way....
The rest of my family has been using Skype for years and just recently asked me to switch everyone over to GChat instead...and it worked flawlessly. In fact the biggest test for us was broadcasting the wedding ceremony over Google hangouts...and we had 8 people watch it live since they could not make it. It was also not device specific, we had several people watching from their iPads, one using an iphone 4s, one using an apple TV, and others on their PCs.
Morning everyone!!! TGIF!!
Today starts the "kids weekends" that will span every weekend until Christmas...except for 3. One of those weekends my other half and I get a romantic weekend getaway, one is thanksgiving, and the other we will be going to Austin to find a house....woo hoo. Busy!!!!
Hope everyone has a great Friday!!

Morning everyone!
Well, more and more reviews are coming in from folks on the Note 2 (in that forum and the thread I have). I'm SOOOOO on the fence about this one. Is my Nexus doing a great job? YES. Do I justifiably have the money for an off contract phone without selling my Gnex? HA, no. Do I really want the larger screen real estate and S Pen? Yep.
Argh!

I refuse
I just started using Nova Launcher with a different Cyanogen 10 Theme and its like my GNex is brand new
I do dislike spending full price for a phone off contract :S

Goooooooood morning everyone and happy Friday eve. Was at a tech conference in NYC yesterday and it was awesome. Free food & drinks and tons of people talking nerd stuff - couldn't have been happier.

Well if truly is a Nexus I doubt you will see a microSD slot, but with Nandroids and some local music & games I would need AT LEAST 16GB.

Saw the same thing. However, the 8GB you're seeing reported could also be caused by the fact that it's a tester version and not a final production version. I believe you'll see 16 and 32 GB versions. Maybe an 8GB but I doubt it that would be the only choice.

Well, as for me folks: I'm not on the fence at all about this year's rather humble offerings. No way will I pay full price for a modest upgrade to the phenomenal device I have right now.
Yeah, she has quirks. So did D. But I can live with them for another year... or even longer, if Big Red decides not to release any more Nexi. Besides: it'll give me more time to get my full retail funding up
Chief wants an un-lockable phone next year that is infinitely customizable. Got that right now.

I think someone in our engineering group needs to be educated on proper etiquette at group luncheon learning sessions as well as diabetes. We have monthly lunch and learn sessions where they feed us and have a professional development presentation. You get there 5-10 mins early and get your food and eat while the presentation is going on. If you get there late, you're supposed to eat afterwards. This one guy gets there late, fixes his plate anyway, sits down, eats, then gets up when he's shoveled his food in and goes back and gets no less than half a dozen cookies (of which there really was only enough for folks to have 2) and woofs them down and then chases them with a Coke. Dude's gonna crash hard in about an hour.

Just everyone agree to GLARE at him with intense scowls the whole time. Every time. Maybe he'll get the hint (maybe).

I've considered going gold since my presence on here has been increasing as I get devices. I'll probably end up doing it eventually. I'll be on the watering hole a lot more now, that's for sure.

Hey y'all!
Been away for almost two weeks, was very sick.
Congrats to our new Mean Green Team Members!
About the new Nexus...I am passing. I don't think the wife would let me buy one off contract anyway. Plus, very unlikely that Verizon gets one. And I am running JB v4.1.2 Jelly Belly anyway!
My N7 is stock, BTW. I flashed stock recovery using Scary's Android Root Toolkit app and even backed up root just in case the OTA breaks it. Love Scary's app. Still waiting on the OTA BTW. Don't know if I will ever flash a ROM on my N7?
Stock JB on that hardware rocks. So much so that my N7 to GNex is like GNex to OG Droid. And the only compelling reason I was going to try a custom ROM was for landscape mode, but since that is native in the 4.1.2 OTA, why bother.

I agree Pup. I mean I am rooted and all that but I like stock Jelly Bean on my N7. I am even running pretty close to stock on my GNexus as well!

Glad you are back in action ... and the Giants too.
Thanks Treo! Giants are looking good right now. Game isn't over, but we are up 6-3 right now! Posey for MVP!
