Woot is awesome - I got my new watch there and I've already gotten quite a few compliments on it today.

Got a Seiko from my wife on our first Valentines day as a married couple, I love that watch. Feel naked without it.

After a couple rocky first seasons, Parks and Recreation is probably one of my favorite shows right now. Hilarious stuff. Hope it can beat out 30 Rock next year for best comedy.

Anything after 5am is sleeping in for me.
Did anyone catch the Droid Life live podcast? Watching it now. Man, these guys live in what looks like dorm rooms and have HORRIBLE cameras.

Some big college football games today. WVU and K-State, TAMU and LSU, Florida and USCe, Bama at Tennessee. Then of course I have to watch my DAWGS tonight take on, hopefully, a cupcake for homecoming. This "cupcake" put a whipping on Georgia Tech so they may be a tough team. Good thing most of the ones I'm interested in are at night after I get home.

Edit: Love your sig Kymberlin. Save the ta-tas.

On 3.6 now for the N7. Working just fine and really, it's not much of a big deal. My Gnex is more of the tinkering device.

Edit: Only bug I think I'm seeing is my data is all grayed out even though I'm receiving a signal. I've tried two reboots and even tried changing the color of it, but it's not changing.

I was on AOKP B4 on the N7...started noticing a few things about it that I didn't like. Haven't run CNA in a while so I'll flash it and check things out. I usually run a ROM pretty exclusive but haven't found one that I 100% am sold on for the N7, so I'll keep flashing until I find one I like.

Sourcery has run GREAT for me on the GNex, so I just do the usual updates, sometimes not even that if a version is running particularly well, like the latest that I have on it right now. I don't think any ROM has ever run as well on my GNex as the current version of Sourcery.

I know, I know, Sourcery is all the rage.
Really like CNA, but perhaps I'll give it a shot at some point. Really gives me all the options I want. Would love some more battery life, but perhaps that's just some work in finding another kernel.

I've had surprisingly good battery life with Sourcery. If my phone wouldn't start self destructing every time it couldn't get a GREAT cell signal, then it would be even better. I lose 10% in my 30 minute drive to work because it can't get connected to a tower that will satisfy it. I've come to the conclusion that the radios in these things are absolutely horrendous. The antenna is what it is, but the radio firmware should be programmed better.

Well, already a big issue on the CNA 3.8 build for the N7. Under the interface settings, when you click Notification Toggles, the settings app crashes.

Hey boys and girls!

Up early I see! *looks at Geek and Dread*

I got up at 630p PDT. Now that is what I call sleeping in!

Quick question for you rom-a-holics...do purchased Play Movies work in CNA or Sorcery? I have been running Stock Jelly Bean on my N7 and Jelly Belly on my Nexus Prime because Play Movies work. I really want all the customizations I am missing out on but not at the expense of losing a core app.

:-)

I only have purchased one magazine but it works just fine on both my Gnex and N7 both running CNA. Have you run into problems or just don't want to?

If I was at home I could tell you. I'll check back with you this afternoon. I'll try playing Transformers on my N7 which now has CNA 3.8. I don't foresee any issues though. I read magazines on it and my phone that I have purchased.

Dread. You got your N7 as an early adopter, right?

If so, go to Play Movies on your GNex and try to watch the Transformers movie that came with your N7. It will error if the Dev hasn't merged the fix. This fix is a sanctioned fix by Google that most devs haven't merged.

Tethered to my Gnex and attempted to watch on the N7. It's loading so I assume it works. Will update if it ever actually plays...very poor service here.

Edit: Got a "Couldn't fetch license" error on the Gnex. I'll try at home...very likely that my service is so poor that it just isn't allowing it here.

Thanks Geek. Will it play on your GNex?

I want it to work on both devices, but Gnex is where I flash all the time. I have not once flashed a ROM on this here N7. :-)

Jelly Belly, Bug less, and CleanROM have it fixed. Of course, none of those ROMs have crazy customization options...boo

You could PM CNA here but I think he's basically left AF for only his own site.

11pm central, looks like. Sucks living in the city. Can't really see anything in the sky at night.

^Dread beat me to it. Should see anywhere from 30-60 meteors per hour around 11pm through dawn. Clear skies here in Alabama coupled with owning some land out in the country means I'll probably pack up the N7, Canon 60D, tripod, couple of chairs and a blanket and head out tonight for some star gazing and astrophotography

Being in a rural area has its advantages sometimes: the sky is forecast to be nice and clear for the meteor shower tonight.

And yes, I plan to be out there watching it

I think a couple of thermoses of hot chocolate and a blanket are in order tonight.

Anyone here and astrophotography specialist??? I tried getting some shots during the Perseids but they didn't turn out so well. I think I had too long of a shutter speed so that the time the meteor was visible was relatively small compared to the exposure. I think if I cut it down to 5 second exposures and have my DSLR controller going on the N7 to shoot with only a 1 second delay between shots I could get a few. I'll have hundreds of pictures to delete, but I might get one good one, haha

greetings all, been a while since I was back on here but just wanted to vent. Went into a VZW store today to kill some time, hold the Razr Maxxxxxxxxxxx HD and just goof around. Anyway, I walk on over to the GNex and what do I see....a horrible ugly black soft case wrapped around this beautiful phone. Didn't even fit right.

I swear, Verizon hates the Galaxy Nexus, here you have all these sexy phone (and I do admit that Razr Max HD felt nice in the hand) and sitting on ONE phone is this piece of crap cover. Next time any of you are in a VZW store, take a peek to see if it is a mandate from corporate or maybe just something this store decided to do for some odd reason. It's like having a playboy playmate and sticking her in the thickest, most unflattering snowsuit you can find....just unethical I tell you.

I feel better now, thanks all.

Well, first I had to uninstall it with TiBu. Didn't have to with my Gnex. When I went to install it through Astro it failed. Not sure if it's a tablet thing or something else.
The swipe to archive really is cool though. Haven't peaked in on the multitouch capabilities. Where did you find the apk? Pretty sure I shouldn't post it here so feel free to PM.

Zebug, nice to see you back!
Saw the HD for the first time today at BB. Also the M.
Have to say, the HD is certainly a sexy phone but like reviews have said, it just feels awkward in the hand. Just a brick.
The Gnex looks to be now just $50 on contract. If VZW can't load a phone with as much bloat as possible they won't support it.

I have it working on my GNex but hadn't tried loading it up on my N7. Works great on the GNex. Think I got the apk from Android Police.

They pulled all the links once Google got to them. XDA may have one kicking around though.

Love your colors Copacetic. I guess we're a few months ahead of schedule with the earliest snow in years...

And the fireplace leads to hot chocolate or hot toddy, which leads to... darn, where is Cap'n Ron when I need him?

Hey Ryan, if you're going to visit Austin before the big move, here's a great free activity...which seems doubly appropriate given the time of year and our AF vampire population

Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Flight

At dusk, until early November, 1.5 million bats take flight from the bridge downtown. It's a spectacle.
