Well, If you need help acclimating, just give me a shout out. Overall, it's a great place to live !
I refuse to post over there until they reel in how rude and elitist attitude over there. I simply lurk in silence and grab anything if I need to.
Well, if you know me,...i used to jump right into those snark-infested waters, post a question, and like fresh "chum" wait for the feeding frenzy. When the snides start,i snidded right back......but the the experience aint worth it.
....wanna know my secret to keep them from biting?...
I would still get my answer eventually , but I was to be "dayam" if I was gonna let some cyberjerk tell me I couldnt post or tell me "there's this new thing called Google....use it"
Once I responded back "theres this new thing called 'life'....get one"....

There are other Texans here, just now live in NC. I was raised in Dallas, family still there. While I love Texas, I have to say you could not get me to leave the Carolina's. We have wonderful 4 seasons and no extremes, the Ocean and the mountains only 6-7 hours apart. Now if I could move those factors to Texas, I would be there in a heart beat . As far as Tex Mex goes, now for someone who grew up with great TexMex in Dallas, nothing here compares and I can't wait to go home for a filling. And restaurants, well Austin has tons of them and some great BBQ as we have thoroughly discussed here in our great little hole. Austin is a great town, I think if i ever were to choose a place in Texas it would be San Antonio or Austin. Dallas has become a city I do not even recognize; when i was growing up, I had a horse that I could ride all over, and not a worry. Now a days, I need a street map to know where I am and the amount of concrete that has taken over all the places we rode is unreal. What is amazing is the steady stream of growth Texas has enjoyed from its boom days in the 70's until now. The Lone Star state is an awesome place.

Now now BB, with parents like Anti and Mrs. Anti, you left out pure unadulterated innocent happiness! Just like we can say about your happy cherub and the cherubs of all of our Nexicans. Here is to a great group of family people dedicated first to RL! Lots for all of us to be thankful for as we enter the week before Thanksgiving!
Dread, Yeah I saw that. Google better shape up or people are going to start getting turned off.
Morning all! Happy Friday! Well I have HW due and a presentation in my class, and then a week off, and then my final. After that I will be down to one more class, and my thesis. Which I haven't even started, on account of how busy I am at work

Morning Dread, Morning Anti! I am surprised at Google's ill planning, i sure hope they are able to get it better organized. Anti, you are almost there, way to go! Hope everyone has a great Friday!
Morning folks! I'm not sure what it is, but my phone has been acting strange recently and I almost reached my breaking point with it yesterday. Recently I've had to toggle airplane mode quite frequently when switching between 3G and 4G because it will lose the data connection even with full signal. More common than that, every time I leave the house or anywhere connected to wifi, it does the same thing.
Well yesterday, it added another frustration to the list. We're out and about trying to find a particular store in Nashville and my data is fine, it searches and finds several stores and I click to get nav to one of them. I gave it 10 minutes or so in the parking lot and it never found GPS signal. So I turn GPS off and on...still nothing. Put it up in my windshield...nothing. So I go to reboot it and it locks completely up. Finally turns off and then the danged thing wont turn back on even after a battery pull! I finally got it powered back up and it navigated fine afterwards...but it seems anything I want to do something I have to reboot or toggle something. I was ready to throw the thing out the window and file a claim with the insurance I bought at Radio Shack. I'm going to wait till 4.2 ROMS come out and try flashing some of those, but if this doesn't stop I'm going to have to do something. Actually tried a couple of days ago to convince my wife to think about buying out of our Verizon contract, selling our phones, buying Nexus 4's and going with straight talk wireless...that would cut our cell bill in half almost! That may be the road I take if this continues.
Sorry gEEk, I sometimes have frustrating issues with my 4G and GPS as well. It has always been a little buggy, not consistent. I love it nonetheless, and almost wish I could convince my wife to let me keep it if I get the DNA as a back-up phone, instead of selling it to recoup some cost. It has been my favorite Android phone yet.
I wish I could buy out my contract for my 3 lines and move prepaid, but those etf's really add up. Plus having to buy new phones, it's just too much upfront money. Also something I find odd is that If you look at Verizon's trade in program, our Gnex's (117) are currently worth more than a GS3(96 or 108). I wonder how they figured that out.

Sorry about the troubles guys... I have been switching roms trying to find peace between me and the Nexy.
Specifically having issues with battery life and gps locks. I am in a great 4G area, if I am not at home with cable and WiFi, so the connection handoff have been fine... Although I had the same issues you described when I was on AOKP M1 this week... Kept having to reboot. But JBSourcery and CNA were fine, just laggy and battery drains... All of it compared to JellyBelly tho...
I have gone back to JellyBelly v10 as of this morning. Full 4.2 rom and Gapps.... Locked on GPS even in the house in less than 5sec..love it. Plus I get my toggles with Notification Toggles app.... Anyways, enough of the free advert, but just saying....
I still love this phone, love the ability to change it up and the functionality... Works great for me!
TGIF folks!

I'm happy, splashtop 2 added support for android phones now. Now I can access my desktop anywhere and not just on wifi. Just found another perk to keeping that unlimited data

So anyone else following the debacle that is the N4 launch? Brings back fond memories of what we were dealing with 4 years ago. Amazing, because Verizon isn't even involved this time!
Seen 'em all and read one of the books. Not a bad series. The teeny boppers give it a bad name. Saw the second one with the wife on a midnight showing at an upscale theater that had a nice bar area and such and I've never seen so many drunk middle-aged women act that way in my life....acted worse than the teenagers!
EDIT: I'm lucky enough to work at a place where you can hear a guy discussing something and within 30 seconds hear the following words: male, female, nipple, male size, and 3-way and not being talking about anything sexual.

I saw an article today stating that Kennedy lady wants to do multiple movies a year of different characters like the avengers. It could have been bogus.
Anyone braving the crowds to see Twilight this weekend?
They made Twilight movies?

Wait, WHAT? Bringing Vader back? They had best not even think about desecrating the franchise like that.
Anyone ever pig out on those little chocolate cupcakes and peel off the chocolate frosting and then the while loopy frosting? Haven't done that in 30 years. But can still remember the taste.
