Afternoon everyone.
Does anyone know of a Christmas List app that can be shared across users? The wife and I would like to create an electronic christmas list and sync it between the 2 of us. That way we always know what is needed to be bought.
Looked at quite a few, but it looks like most were created to be on one persons phone only.
I read that "Out of Milk" app can be set up this way, but I didn't see a tutorial or anything on how to do it. What is nice, with the christmas list ones I did look at, were the ability to set budgets for each person, a group, etc...

Cozi should allow this, just a basic list. You can also access it via the web.

I've used this for the past 2-3 years in Google Docs.

You can check out Olde Mill Inn too (I have to look at where it is, I forget). My best friend did an early fall wedding there last year - outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, reception inside. Just a thought for ya.

Good morning everyone - not sure when we discuss bonuses or what not for the year, fingers crossed on that one. would be a real nice way to end the year.
Trying to decide if I want to come into the office on Friday since the markets are only open for a half-day (until 1PM). Hoping by the time I decide someone just tells me to work from home instead.
Yeah we don't get bonuses for the year until February next year. ALthough we have a health incentive program with drawings where you can win up to $5000, and the winners are announced next week. I won $250 last year. Plus we have an appreciation lunch for engineers, where they give away some nice door prizes. Of course, 4 years of that, I have yet to win one thing .
Put 4.2 on my Nexus this morning, (Jelly Belly). Not bad, I figured I would see if there was something on it that would convince me I need to stick with the GNex... I am so torn on whether or not to pick up the DNA tomorrow. I love my Nexus, but the DNA just calls to me. I am going to go to the store and check it out, but probably will be a gametime decision.

Our potential bonuses are set in stone at the beginning of the year. We can potentially get 5% of our salary but in order to get that, the company as a whole and our site has to do well and meet our performance metrics. If we don't, we get percentage points knocked off. This year the company found a way to do well even with reduced sales and revenue. The site had a really good year as well.
Maybe they will find a little extra cash layin around for you guys Stig I'll most likely be working all week, including Saturday. Hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving days off!

Haha, yeah, we have the same deal, except its a fixed amount, not percentage. So it's a much bigger deal for the techs than for the engineers.
We don't get bonuses unless our shop goes the most hours without a reportable and non reportable injury. You can however join Virgin Health Miles and make up to $500 per year depending on how much you walk.

Our bonuses are also delivered in February, but are dependent on our reviews. Still not sure how that's going to go, since our department is being transferred the current supervisor is being kept on through February to complete the reviews... But was not given a job at the other end, so he is being laid off as soon as the reviews are done. Oh and my wife and I are the only ones who are staying with the company so he can make it nice for us... And we get a bonus.... or make it hard since he can review us anyway he wants... And there are potentially 3 other people who, if they stay on the job through the end of December would also qualify for a bonus.. Even though their last day would be December 28. So I am sure we all 5 split the department budget for bonus....
The other part of our transfer is that we would normally get a raise, usually about $2-$3/hr after review time, but since the wife and I are transferring our pay rates to Austin, we will already be making more than the new folks, and apparently we won't qualify for the raise... So we are Hoping for a decent bonus this year!
Raise aside... November, this year, is the month we make 3 paychecks, which is always nice right before the holidays.

I was thinking of loading JB on my phone but I was reading about a lot of problems with 10.0 and was thinking of waiting for 10.1 - how is 10.0 for you guys? If its good I might load it up, but knowing my luck 10.1 will come out tomorrow.
Well, another unremarkable dentist visit.
Jelly Belly looks just too stock for me. I'll stick with Sourcery or CNA hoping one will drop a 4.2 based ROM soon.
Anti, do you have a upgrade or are you going to sell your Gnex?

Bummer. At least you'll get quite a bit more for it than the GSM one. What is it about the DNA that's so compelling for you? That stellar battery life?
I rarely do much with my GNex since I got the N7 so I don't have the itch. This might provide a good balance for me. Every two years a new phone and alternate two years a new tablet. Now I just gotta get me a Chromebook in there somehow.

Screen, sense (I'm a fan), better camera, and signal strength.
Android is starting to get to the point where custom roms aren't needed as much, but I am too addicted to tinkering with my devices to leave them stock. I don't have any faith in Verizon not locking up any phone on their network and locking me out on a device that I bought. Dev versions of phones will not sell well unless they sell at a similar price as the nexus 4. Ever since Verizon put that new tower up near where I work, I really have no complaints with my Gnex with the 3800mAh battery. I better get cozy with it because it looks like it's going to be my phone until Verizon axes my unlimited data.

Hello everyone! Anti, passing through your area on 95...wave! So nice and sunny here, we have been having an offshore event for the last week in NC making it cloudy and rainy. Oh how i love the sun and 68!
The Verge and Engadget slammed it on a crummy battery but Droid Life seems to be impressed with it. Seems to be mixed so far. Ask Night Angel and see what his thoughts are thus far.

Was their basis actual tests or just looking at mah?
Anti, why would you choose the DNA over the Note 2? Really like Sense?
Size, Sense, and price.

Average. I don't expect to make it through a day at my desk, but I don't need to. Away from my desk I have higher hopes, standby is actually really good based on what I have read so far.

NA is in love. Probably would have backed off by now already if it weren't for him. I really do like my GNex, but this desk move is killing me going back to my 45kbps 3G connection. (Yes, its truly THAT bad).
I don't mean to sound biased against the HTC or DNA, but the battery life seemed destined to be poor. a screen bigger than the gs3, more pixels than the gs3, a smaller capacity battery than the gs3, and the notoriously hungry sense ui. At least the note 2 has a much larger capacity battery to try and help offset it.
I really hope the DNA is popular just because it thrashes the uphone in PPI. I wouldnt mine having one myself or getting to use one for a bit just to see the amazing pixel density

Reading through the N4 review on DL. Man, I am really itching to dump Verizon. Not sure when my contract is up, but not for quite a while. Wife wants nothing to do with another carrier but since we mostly reside in DC where ANY carrier gets great signal, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I'm the same way Dread. We don't live in a very populated area, but Verizon and AT&T both get good service here now. 3 years ago when we switched, AT&T didn't have that great of data coverage here, but they're up to par now. Makes it a little easier to make the decision to go for a pre-paid plan like Straight-Talk or something.

I did all the math do determine if it would be financially smart to break free of verizon terminating 3 lines and getting the t-mobile 30 dollar plan. It came out relativly even only being about 30 dollars in the red over the course of 1 year if i was able to sell the 2 gnex's for 200 each, and the gs3 for 400 and then buy 3 nexus 4's for 350 each. That's quite a bit of money up front to stomach though .
Chief, their LTE coverage looks dreadful. Almost nothing on the metro Eastern seaboard cities (but tons in Maine?). I think TMo would be the only other carrier I'd consider. If they purchase Metro perhaps they would get stronger?
