Have you guys seen some of the mods they're doing to the N7 over at XDA? Specifically the drone flyers. They're adding some crazy wifi antennas to them and getting insane Wifi coverage.

Yeah every day for me is a 12 hour day if you count commute. 6 days a week too. Gonna be like this for the next three years too!
Ouch, that's rough. Mine doesn't count commute, but it's only on Tuesdays and Thursdays because of the way my schedule works out. The other 3 weekdays is relatively light by comparison.

Yeah, it sounds rough, and then I remember my wife is at home with a 5, 4, and 22 month old for that entire time. I have it easy!
Morning Dread! No plans for me. Except work I guess.
We are contemplating taking our Christmas ornaments down, our youngest is decimating them has broken 8 already. And when we tried putting them out of his reach, he just starts pulling on the branches. kids.
Morning all Weekend plans consist of putting up the tree, the lady has been getting into the Xmas spirit and is ready to get everything started. While this means that I'll be lambasted with holiday music from now until January, it also means lots of cookies, so I'm okay with it.
Also, big news that I wanted to share with you all: I found out recently that I was accepted for a Birthright Israel trip in January; basically, the state of Israel pays for non-Israeli Jews to come to Israel for ten days and see the major sights and get a taste of Israeli culture. There was a long application process, and unfortunately only a small portion of applicants can go because of the relatively small number of spots open on each trip, but I think I was picked because I'm close to aging out of the program -- you can only apply from ages 18 to 26.
I know it might not be the absolute smartest time to be going there, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. They assure us that the programs are in touch with Israeli authorities constantly, there are GPS trackers and medics on our buses, and we won't even be going near Gaza in the first place. Our guides recently emailed the whole trip roster, saying that they've been to Israel several times and have always felt totally safe. So, I'm really excited! I'll be gone from January 2-12, so needless to say, I most likely will not be posting during that period. We'll be going to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, the Negev Desert (where we'll ride camels and spend a night sleeping in Bedouin tents), float in the Dead Sea, and lots of other stuff!
50th birthday party tonight, going to get the Christmas tree tomorrow, something tomorrow afternoon but damned if I can remember, and then a baptism on Sunday. Busy, busy, busy.

Good morning everybody and Happy Friday!
Holy Smokes, I've ever seen this place so Christmas-y. My Darling Bride and her sister have decked the halls with every conceivable decoration, but it's done quite tastefully. Of course I'm already dreading taking it all DOWN after January 1st
Anyway, our little town has its annual parade tonight. We're in position 70 out of 85 so it could take AWHILE. But being in the parade is fun, so off we go
Have a great day & weekend!
I guess it's safe to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUP? My 50th was in August, so I know how you feel!

Happy Birthday Pup!
And TGIF to all... We have a busy weekend too... Mother in laws 60th tomorrow evening after an repeat try at sailing, which will probably be canceled considering we happened to choose the only 2 weekends it has rained here in the last year. Christmas tree Sunday... And then a couple of quick days at work then off to Austin to find a house next week. Need to do laundry somewhere in there, and the new tv arrives Monday... Fun for all!
Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning everyone!! I think I'm going to see Breaking Dawn this morning. And later tonight I'm planning on having dinner with friends at our favorite local Mexican restaurant. This is all dependent upon my migraine staying away again which would be wonderful.

BB, when migraine strikes the Darling Bride I give her an aspirin powder, ibuprofen and acetaminophen pills and orange juice. Knocks it out. I figure between the 3 of them, ONE has got to hit it
Happy Birthday Pup!

Good luck with everything Ryan. I thought about you yesterday when i found out another friend of mine may be moving to Austin too. Like you it will be for his job, but he hates moving his family from Phoenix.

The wife dragged me to that movie last weekend, I'm embarrased to say. All & all not to bad. Hope you get to feeling better.
Happy Birthday Pup.

I love Christmas time too! All the toys my kids get that I get to put together for them!

It's funny how things change as you get older. At least for me, when I was younger, all I cared about what what toys or how much money I was getting. Now I honestly wish we would cancel the gifts between the adults at all the gatherings and just give to the kids. There's nothing anyone could get me that I couldn't go out myself and get if I wanted to. It means something that they care enough to do it, but the gift itself really doesn't bring me any joy now. I'd rather them have saved their money or given it to charity or the kids or something. We don't have kids of our own yet, but the part I love most about Christmas now is seeing our nieces open their presents and helping out my younger brother by getting him some things he can't afford now that he's in college.

When / if you have children you will relive your childhood excitement all over again.

Oh I'm sure Pup. I know how excited we both get shopping for and watching our nieces on Christmas. Wife is terrified that we're going to end up with all girls if we have multiple kids because I'm a pushover with them.
I definitely enjoy the giving more than the recieving. But not just the kids. I love getting something for my wife, especially when I know its the PERFECT gift. It doesn't always have to cost money though. I did a video/photo slideshow for her for Mother's day, cost me $2 for the DVD, and $3 for the songs I bought to overlay. She played it two or three times a day for a week, and cried every time THAT was a good gift

Oh definitely! Those are always the better types of gifts in the wife's eyes.
Chief, I'm the type that would wrap that and put it under the tree for my enjoyment when the unsuspecting teenager opened it. Then I'd hand them the real thing.
Reminds me of what I did a few years ago. I got Pam concert tickets but they did not arrive in time. Instead I got a huge box and filled it with crumpled up pieces of paper the all said "Not this one," "Try another," and "Maybe the next one." Probably a ream of paper. Finally, I printed the arena seating chart, drew an arrow to where her seats were and wrote a little note what her gift was.
It was a good thing she really wanted those tickets or I may not have survived.

Razor, I hear that is an awesome experience. My daughter wants to go when she hits 18 (because a girlfriend went and came back with amazing stories). I think I'll wait for your report before deciding.

No problem, I'll tell you guys all about it! I'll also be getting a brand new digital camera before I go, so hopefully I'll have great pictures
