Lying on the couch watching this current season of Top Chef. Bummed to see Bart kicked off. We've been to his restaurant a couple times and while we haven't had anything too adventurous on the menu, it's all been quite good (and I've seen him running food himself).

The stupid cable company couldn't properly troubleshoot a dead modem. It's all better now. The N7, well, yeah, I haven't looked at it since the initial fall.
I'm sure it will be hard to luck at its for a while. Trying to remember its former beauty.

Glad to hear the alien extraction went well... I mean, glad to hear it all went well Chief!
Morning all... Just stopped in to say hi.
Gotta say I am a little bit excited about the Asus game pad... Going to have to look into that more.
Also, a GWallet funny for you... IsIs is big here is Austin, supposedly, since there are billboards everywhere. But since Nexy is not allowed on IsIs I still love getting the oooohhhssss and aaaahhhhhssss when I use GWallet like yesterday. 4 people in line, and the cashier asked how they can get it! Love it!

Hi Ryan, glad you are selling into Austin, can we call you a Texan yet? Lol

Son is having some surgery this morning to remove a weird lump in his chest. I don't know what it is, nobody knows... maybe it's an alien. Anyway, forgive me if I'm a little scarce the next few days
Glad your son did well and there are no aliens to dispose of.

If anyone likes documentaries, check out Resurrect Dead. The title isn't what you think. Instead think 2001 Space Odyssey. It is on Netflix and AIV.

January 23rd is the start shipping date, woohoo!!!
About time for a date but I have to say I'm really over it. It seemed like a cool idea - and still is but I don't wear watches - even if they're a really cool piece of tech.

Now that there is a ship date it seems to be getting a lot of hate comments on the blogs doing reviews of it, but oh well I am still very excited for it. I kinda, kinda wish I got another color that wasn't black, but it's probably the most professional if I wear it to work, etc.
Hey Cam! Still here, although I defected to a Droid DNA.
Hey Antimony!
I know a lot of people defected from the GNex camp. Seems like this phone was hit or miss. My wife and I both got good ones on launch day. I guess A LOT of others weren't as lucky.
I don't know what I'm going to do next year when we're eligible to upgrade or change carriers (without a fee for breaking contract). I'm really sold on the Nexus concept and I seriously doubt VZW will ever allow a Nexus device again.

How is CES this year? I was going to go but registered around 11:00 PM Pacific on the last day only to find out it ended at midnight EST I didn't really want to pay to get in, so next year it is. Hope your having fun!

Anyone see Chris Chavez's face when he got ahold of a Nvidia Shield?
Haha, priceless.
I was excited to see more hands on with the Pebble. Hopefully mine doesn't take too long to ship.

There is a thread on Pebble: An E-Paper Watch for iPhone and Android that basically estimates which batch you are going to be in for Pebble shipping. I should be in the second batch (if they do 15k/week) which means I should see mine in the beginning of February.
I am beyond excited for this.

Got my shipping email for my Vavo. Can't wait for it to get here. I waffled for quite awhile on the Pebble so I'll be one of the later shipments for sure.

Got my Vavo yesterday in the mail - its really neat. Its sitting on my side table next to my bed which is a perfect location. It really is small and easily portable. The substance they developed for the sticky pad is really amazing that I can swing my phone by it, but a simple twist takes it right off.

I'm in geek paradise here! I'll try to post some pictures later.

Yep, LOL. I keep hoping I'll run into one of the Phandroid guys, but alas this place is HUGE and there's like 160000 people here.
I snapped a picture of the Nvidia Shield. Pretty slick, but they wouldn't let a peon like me touch it. I had to settle for drooling on it through the glass.

I think I'm sold on the Qube. Initial price isn't so bad, and their interface is unique to say the least. They say it runs Google TV v3.0, but I'd like to know if that's still HC or if they've finally upgraded it from that travesty.
@Cam...Damn. Wish I was there, I might have been able to get you some hands on time
Best ever CES moment for me? I used to work for EVGA in sales. I left the company at one point to pursue something else and now I'm back as the community guy. In between I went to CES. Jen-Hsun (NVIDIA CEO) must have noticed my name badge. He said "Oh, hi Rob. You used to work for EVGA right? Let me show you around the booth". I was floored that a major CEO knew my name, especially when I had never met him (he must have seen my name on emails or something).
I should be attending E3, so if you happen to be there, let me know so we can have a drink or something.

If it's HC based, I'd run as fast as possible from that thing.
Still have nightmares of it on my Tab 10.1. It's actually what's running on my Flyer too. Good thing it's merely a bedside clock.
