Yeah you plug a Canon DSLR (Nikon might work) and the phone automatically reads it as a external camera and opens the gallery to view all the photos on board and import them as well..

And chainfire guys have another HUGE bonus for Canon only. Try out 'remote shutter' to use the Nexus to control the shutter release and the bigger app from chainfire allows full control of the camera, with all the settings available.

Works great on my 450D (XSI)

Edit - does anyone else have an issue of not being able to use the Paste function in the app?

That's like a bonus post, showing off phone and a bit of trivia all in one

Default Finally caught up to this epic thread!

It feels like old times...I get busy with life...neglect the thread...come back and I have hundreds of posts to read!

So I get to exchange my phone tomorrow with my rep...crazy blue/grey tracking in the whites.

So I haven't had any of the fun you all are having...if you didn't know...I am a crackflasher going through serious withdrawal!

From the LG Ally to both DIncs 1 and 2, to a quick affair with the Droid X2 and now the Nexus Prime (lol), I have flashed over 50 ROMs. And that is just the number of ROMs! Hundreds if not thousands of flashes of kernels, mods, boot sounds and boot animations, etc, etc.

I have rooted the OG Droid, Droid Bionic, HTC ThunderBolt, Huewai[sic] Ascend, LG Vortex, and some other devices I can't seem to remember.

I have to wipe my computer fresh with Windows and Ubuntu dual boot as well!

Thank you for letting me share...

My name is Jonathan. I am 29 and I am a Nexaholic and Crackflasher.

So, not sure how or why but something went wrong when I flashed Fab's ROM. Da NEXINATOR is running great now. Just got to get the battery life in check but that's just my fault. I'll have it right this weekend.

Remember kids, always wipe fully for that fresh ROM feeling!

So I asked this in another thread but thought I would try the Nexus watering hole. Does the Nexus have part of its internal memory dedicated as the SD card? In other words, when moving things like saved games and pictures from the SD card on my old phone, where do I put them on the Nexus? Does that make sense?

Yes a Virtual sd card. It has 2 drives per se. Put anything you wish on the virtual sd card which is what shows up when you connect the GN to your PC

I use each forum's dedicated app. It's more work but I like keeping accounts separate.

Yes you are new to Android and that is okay. When you buy an app, you pay for it with a credit card. We don't have carrier billing with Verizon right now, to the best of my knowledge.

Tapatalk is good yes and has a lot of forums on board.

You can give google a CC or debit card to be placed on file (or not) and it will charge you accordingly

I got the girlfriend a Northface jacket, some notebooks & pencils from this awesome company in UK that she's wanted and a signed post from her favorite band with handwritten lyrics on it.

Some other random small things too.

Yay for info staying safe.
If its something she wants but you know she probably wouldn't spend the money on herself then yes, its romantic in a way. Shows you know her and love her.

So first of all...

In May, it is our Anniversary, Mother's Day, and her Birthday, in that order, within a ten day period. So I got her a Spa Treatment/Massage, diamond earrings, and a Nook Color. I had been planning on getting her the Samsung Stratosphere as her big gift but her LG Ally pooped out two months too early! I know she wants cozy boots from Target she pointed out but that is hardly thoughtful. I am actually at a loss and Christmas is four days away! Help me BB...you're my only hope. Turned my phone on airplane mode due to the abysmal reception in the building I'm in at around 60% on the battery. Since that time I read a book for about 3 hours with total screen on time being 3 hours and 40 some odd minutes. Just now at 25% battery remaining.

The funeral was for the NYPD Officer killed in Brooklyn,Funeral was monday morning. Now Im just playing catch up with the holidays fast approaching.I am loving this phone, having a good time figuring it out. People at work are amazed that it has no buttons and how nice Netflix looks on it. Well worth the wait.

Everywhere I go people are taken aback by the sheer beauty of this device. If I don't put it down soon I may be late to work.

that's not to shabby.. if you tried placing it in night mode with a deep black back and white/beige lettering and you could probably save more power too

Yeah, that's tough stuff right there. A lot of our friends are either cops or firemen, and I think the only thing as sad as a funeral for either of them is the funeral of a child.

Hmmm....maybe I'll go to the VZW store tonight and test my camera against their floor model. I really was hoping for slightly better quality.

Ok - what about a night out for her....either a movie or a show and dinner. All centered on her favorites.

As per the various stories circulating yesterday that the LTE bug was mostly psychological, it seems that Verizon/Google's "fix" will mostly just be an adjustment to the reporting meter to make it more accurate:
