Finally watched the entire PS4 event. Can't wait for this thing! A downside to it...you can't transfer any PS3 PSN games or play PS3 discs on the PS4. But they plan to make every game available at some point through emulation using their network that is now teamed up with GaiKai, which they purchased last year. They also have ambition of making everything in the PS Store playable to try with no waiting/downloading, click-try it out-buy it or not. And they want EVERY title playable on the Vita. It is also very socially integrated.

When I was a youngin, I cut off all the hair on my sisters' Barbies. Was quite therapeutic if I recall.
Mom was not very happy about it.

Yeah we were watching part of the race but the kids got bored and I turned it off before the bad one. I hope everyone that was injured is able to recover fully.
Does anyone no how Birthdays and other similar date related information that set up in my Calender can be made to pop up in the Goggle now screen the day before when I start up the tablet. I was hoping this would happen altermativcly via a Card ?

Good morning all...
Welcome to Android Forums Chriss, and to the Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole!
Can you tell us what tablet you are using?
For me, when I have birthdays set up in my Google Calendar, my Google Now was set up to show my appointments, so birthdays do show up on the cards. But I had to make sure that I set the appointment up online in my Google Calendar, or the person has their birthday listed on their own Google account, and I have added them to my Circles on Google+. Also make sure to add a notification for 24 hours.. Not 10min, which is the default... Good luck and welcome!
Up early today.. Not sure why... Off to play skyrim for a bit...

Hard to believe that JBSourcery 4.6 was out less than 24 hours and now 4.7 is in IRC with more newness!
EDIT: A little bird told me that 4.8 is THAT close to completion that I should wait. But if you're a TRUE crackflasher, 4.7 is still a "fun" ROM to flash. So watch the IRC room and be ready for it!

I am with Chief here, went to IRC and downloaded thenI saw the news on 4.8. I am going to wait as i want to do a super clean wipe and install because of the lag and screen freezes i have been having.
I went to the Verizon store for screen protectors. Since the nexus is EOL the were only $5/pack. At the counter I point and say, "Is that PayPass or Isis?" I asked because it didn't look like PayPass. He said, "PayPass, but no one uses it." So I pulled out my phone and used it. I smiled and said, "There. Its been used." He told me I shouldn't be able to use it and just laughed.

Chief, you know that thing I told you about getting the SSD for the computer? Well I think my motherboard just failed, so maybe getting the new one is a better idea

It's awesome that you got to rub Verizon’s face in it

Bravo, Halon! Well played!
Anti: Yeah, I just ordered an HP dv6-7014nr from Eluktronics.com. Has Core i7, 12GB Performance RAM, 750GB SSD Hybrid drive, Blu-Ray player... pretty much everything I would want or need in a laptop. And a fingerprint scanner so all I have to do is swipe my finger and it logs me in to secure sites

Should be here this week...
I've had the dv8 since '09. Finger print, 600GB, i7 and I think 6GB ram and Blu-ray. This thing is pretty much a desktop stuffed into a laptop.

Afternoon all...
Spark plugs and wires changed. Intake manifold cleaned and new gaskets. Oil change done. Car runs... Job well done. All all it took was 2 hours..nice to save over $300 off what the dealer service department quoted us. Off to wash it inside and out...
Nice job Halon! Love it when I get to use the GWallet!
And Chief... Nice find!
Hopefully Anti will be up and running soon... Sorry to hear about the MB fail...

Re: Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole
Morning all...
Good weekend behind us. But woke up to a flat tire... Jeez, I did not even touch the tires yesterday. Lol. Oh well, off early to get a new one.
At least it's the last week of the month already!
And for those following along at home, remember that I transferred from CA to TX over the holidays? Well in TX we got a new (better) supervisor. Yet our old supervisor is still employed through this coming Thursday. We are celebrating with a happy hour Friday after our first full day of being fully autonomous in TX... Wish us well this week, as we expect a whole bunch o crap to be dumped on us before he leaves....

Sorry about the flat tire Ryan... hope the replacement tire isn't eye-watering. I HATE flats! Especially on my conversion van with 22" wheels: $$$$
Rocking JB Sourcery 5, trying to locate compatible kernels for it. Something (I suspect the stock kernel) is messing with the Bluetooth on it. I made the horrible mistake of flashing Popcorn v12 without a nandroid last night and down the rabbit hole I went. Bootloop after bootloop! I almost had to start from scratch. I know, I violated my own rule:
Make a nandroid backup before doing ANYTHING fancy to your phone!

Lol, I just finished setting things back up how i like them after flashing 4.8 last night and now Chief, you tell me this? hahaha. Guess i am going to dirty flash this bad boy.
American carriers will never get on board with this because it would cannibalize the data enabled tablet market. Personally I love the concept, but your only bet for this is to import, assuming the frequencies are compatible with American carriers.
Hey kids! Even though I am no longer a Nexus owner, I still like skimming the site pretty regularly. The apple folks sure are snobby sometimes. . . .
Although I must say with the new jailbreak out, my little gadget is almost as customizable as the Nexy was. It's amazing how creative developers can get. It's pretty cool.
I'm also still keeping an eye out for the SGSIV and the Motorola unicorn, if it ever appears.
Anyone watch the Oscars? That Jennifer Lawrence. . .

Carriers are slamming down on data usage as it is. This concept will never happen. I'm not too familiar with Int'l carriers, but I believe a lot use capped/tiered plans. Not sure why the American ones can't go with a Padfone AND go with tiered plans?

Re: Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole
So apparently only Costco and Sears use nitrogen for tires here in town, at least that I can find so far... So I have a spare with air and 3 with nitro... At least till I can get to a Costco...
Oh well. Gonna have to try again tomorrow morn.
Off to work in a bit. Hope everyone has a good Monday!
Also wish the carriers would do the padfone-ish devices here!

Unlimited data isn't common overseas judging by comment I see here, in fact most have rather small data plans, usually 1GB or less. But they also pay a lot less. It's a shame because I would get an Asus device because they're good with updates and their skin is minimal compared to stock android. They're also developer friendly by supplying bootloader unlock tools for full access to the device, other than the removing nVflash issue.

Didn't the Bionic have a lapdock thing-a-ma-jig that somewhat resembles a padphone?
Still haven't rooted my Prime. Hell, haven't even picked it up in forever.
Do you know if there's much development out there for em? I see you have an Infinity, but I feel like they're all pretty similar. I know there's some AOKP ROMs out there for it.

There's actually quite a bit a development for the Prime, more so than the Infinity. Asus really screwed themselves by releasing the Infinity the same month as the Nexus 7. I only got the Infinity as a replacement for the prime for free because my prime got to the point that it wouldn't stay connected to a wifi connection; it would constantly drop connections every 10 seconds. I would have preferred to get another prime because of how much better the battery life was, but by that point the product was discontinued.
Okay. Problem. By accident I picked "sideload update" in CW to flash a new rom. I now can't get back to touch controls because it wants me to sideload via adb.
Edit...never mind

Chief, have you seen any battery life increases? It's honestly what I'm after.
Still use the stock battery and wondering if its life has been depleted (I usually keep it on the charger all day long at work). On AOKP now, but it's still terrible.
