Now running JBSourcery 5.0 with only a couple hiccups along the way including a previous posted problem and then the phone just didn't want to turn back on. But, everything is back to up and running.
Where is the option to turn off the shutter sound for the camera?

Dread: have you tried Greenify in Play? I can't give you an objective evaluation of battery life because I have a lot of widgets, push notifications, and an extended battery... IMO anything anyone says about battery life would be entirely subjective, as each person uses their device differently.

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I will be stepping down from AF Staff. Life has taken over with work & my engagement, etc and I just don't devote the time or effort I used to.
So you will see me go orange again soon, but didn't want anyone to freak out.

Did you have bad lag after a few days use?
My 4.5 was fine for a few days (about a week) and then all of a sudden low memory warnings from Tasker, low RAM in the usage bar and lag while typing.

One day, while a Navy Chief was cutting a branch of a tree above a river, his axe fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "Why are you crying?" The Chief replied that his axe had fallen into the water, and he needed the axe to make his living. The Lord went down into the water and reappeared with a golden axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. The Chief replied, "No." The Lord again went down and came up with a silver axe. "Is this your axe?" the lord asked. Again the Chief replied, "No." The Lord went down again and came up with an iron axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. The Chief replied, "Yes."
The Lord was pleased with the Chief's honesty and gave him all three axes to keep, and the Chief went back to the ship happy.
Sometime later the Chief was walking with his wife along the riverbank, and his wife fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked him, "Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my wife has fallen into the water!" The Lord went down into the water and came up with Angelina Jolie. "Is this your wife?" the Lord asked. "Yes," cried the Chief.
The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!"
The Chief replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said 'no' to Angelina Jolie, you would have come up with Cameron Diaz. Then if I said 'no' to her, you would have come up with my wife. Had I then said 'yes' you would have given me all three. Lord, I am poor old seagoing Chief, and am not able to take care of all three wives in a way that they should be, so that's why I said yes to Angelina Jolie."
The moral of this story is: Whenever a Navy Chief lies, it is for a good and honorable reason, and for the benefit of others. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

@ Cap't Ron: cute story!
In return I shall regale you with a story of my own. If you look at the official Marine Corps seal, you'll see that it prominently says "Department of the Navy" along the top. But few people know WHY the Marines are a part of the Navy. I'll tell you:
Back during the beginnings of the American Revolution, the Continental Congress knew that the British would be coming to exact vengeance on the fledgling nation. They had to stand up some defenses in a hurry.
It was a Thursday, I'm not sure of the date, but the Congress voted to create a standing ARMY to prepare for the inevitable war. The votes were cast: the Army was created.
The next day, someone said "You know, we could meet them before they even get here if we had a NAVY," So a day later, the Navy was created (using ships provided by our ally France).
Monday it was brought up that there were some leftovers: the Cavalry and the Marines.
"Where are the horses and Marines gonna go?" they asked. It was agreed that, since the Army was created first, they would get the choice. The Army looked at the horses, the mess, the burden of cleaning and feeding and taking care of them... and then looked at the Marines.
The Army chose the Cavalry. And THAT'S why the Navy got stuck with the Marines.
Of course, any Marine reading this will know of the traditional ribbing we give each other, and realize that this was posted in jest with no offense. We're all in the same battle, on the same team. The Navy just likes sipping coffee and launching missiles while the Marines enjoy humping hundred-pound packs through blistering temperatures. OO-RAH!

Hey there BlackBeltKid,
We used to hang out in the DInc forums toward the days leading to Gingerbread. I remember you being a kind heart. So I will surely be praying for you my friend. Be well, please.
Well yet ANOTHER soggy day here. I think today will be a bad one, all dirt roads are impassable (in fact all the rural counties have cancelled school today because of the inability to run school busses. Major roads in savannah are starting to go under water as the drainage has been inundated. And it's coming down faster than ever. I'll post a pic of my backyard when I get home.

Morning all! We are soaked here as well Anti, I am definitely ready for this to ease up but it looks like this system goes all the way back to Atlanta and will be with us for the duration today. Our island is all sand and is so saturated there is a lot of standing water. Once off the island, all of the normally dry swamp bog land around here is squishy...translates to you sink on it. Yuck!

Hi folks!
Anti, you gonna build an ark or something? You be careful over there!
Okay all you JB Sourcery peeps: anyone else having Bluetooth breakup on the later versions? Since about 4.7 I've had connectivity problems. Just keeps breaking up... no catastrophic loss, just nuisance stuff but enough to drive me nuts.
I've tried various kernels to no avail (Popcorn and Trinity throw Ginny into bootloops), and I'm running out of ideas. Any ideas out there for a fix?

Don't be afraid of JBSourcery 5, Stigy, just because I'm having BT issues. It is a flat-out AMAZING ROM and I really don't want to revert to a previous version because of all the cool features I'll lose! Just try it!
Stigy, beer looks awesome!
I love those glasses by the way.
My go to is Delirium glasses. We sold one keg of it at the restaurant but the price was so high that most of the staff drank it.
They're actually great for small pours (which I prefer) of strong beers.
And, I got to take home about 6 glasses after that keg.

Does anyone know if there is an Android app to track usage of apps on your phone (and not data usage).
Basically I want to uninstall a bunch of apps from my phone, but I want to know which apps I haven't used or opened in a while or I only use once in a while (very rarely). Every Google search brings up apps that monitor data usage, but that isn't what I want.

you could try system panel app. when you turn on the montering it shows the apps used and being used along with there cpu time and usage... but you would have to use the app to get the data... i dont there there is one that u can install and see the history usage of the apps on your phone
I've been trying to figure out a way to mount my Nexus 7 in my Ford Escape. My problem is I don't have anyone around here, that I know of, that can do stuff like that and I also don't have anywhere to possibly do fiberglass work to make it work if I were to do it myself. So I found this... Xenomix CD Tablet SHG NX4000 CD Player Slot Mount for Tablet PC iPad Navi | eBay
Well rain finally quit around noon today. We had the tornado sirens go off once but no reports of damage that I have seen. A nice warm breezy day had dried off all the roads already this afternoon. And looks like we will have 4-5 days now to dry out. Definitely a wet February for us, 4 times the avg precipitation for the month.
Yeah, it's just nasty and cold outside. We're having tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner.
Halon, we love our Mountek for CD player mounts in the car (since we have different phones). I'm skeptical it would really handle a tablet weight though. Best of luck!

YUM and what a coincidence: we had grilled cheese for lunch!
Of course, we have to be all GOURMET about it at the Chief's Home... son and Darling Bride had grilled ham & Provolone sandwiches, while I skipped the ham in favor of grilled American and Colby Jack cheese sandwich.
Gah, now Ron has his Pebble!
Not sure I'll ever get mine. HAD to order the white one too.
The good news dread is you're really not missing much yet because the software on the Pebble is still pretty infantile. The only thing I've been able to download are different watch faces. I think the potential is there, but it needs some development.
I do like the vibrating alarm feature. What I didn't realize was the alarm stays active on the watch until you delete it. I was not a happy camper when my wrist started vibrating at 2:30 this morning when I was trying to sleep for my flight back to the States.
I'm also looking forward to doing more things on my phone (like setting alarms) and pushing them to the watch.

The one I posted a link for isn't a Mountek. This is a Xenomix, for tablets.
