Morning all. And keep on keepin on Razor.. Get settled. I know it took us a while, and still not completely unpacked.
Although that's the chore for today. Have a friend from back home in town this week, garage and living room need cleaning.. Happy Saturday! Going to tackle that this weekend.
Also going to go to a Texas Roller Derby match tomorrow.. One of our coworkers is playing, and we are making it a team outing!

Morning Ryan et al.

I'd love to go to a roller derby match. Wonder if there is any in my neck of the country?

How's your GNex brother? Still having the little issues with JDX 13.1?

On a side note, for all you parents out there...

...my boy is 2 years 3 months old and we are still giving him a bottle at night and at nap time. It has gotten to the point where he is now wetting the bed through his diaper because we'll give him another if he wakes up in the middle of the night. At this point, doctors really recommend no bottles at nap/bedtime and I am on board with that 100%. Me and my wife just don't know how best to ween him. He's talking so he asks for it. That is one thing that makes it tough. The other tough part is when he wakes up in the middle of the night, and we're exhausted BTW, he asks for it. Can anyone, and I am willing to listen to all points of view here, help?

Happy Saturday,

jmar

My JDX 13.1 with Lean is back to its beautiful over a day usage! And the BT and low sound issue I was having... Gone now with the audio Fix. Not sure what is wrong with the 4.2.2 audio codes, unless we still need something from VZW.. Which makes no sense. Anyways, it's back to perfect for me.
The roller Derby should be fun. Never been to one, so a whole new experience!

For the bottles.. I did it too till almost 3 and then had to explain to my son that it's easier to hug a stuffed buddy, and have a dry bed, than to have the bottle/sippy cup... Took a couple of crying to sleep nights, but once he found the buddy that takes his tears, he was good to go. We gave him a one hour dry time before bed, only a sip of water at tooth brushing time, then all he could drink when awake... The other thing we did was find a cd he liked to have running, or nature sounds (we had a cd player that had ocean, forest and bird sounds... Lol) and he could sing to his buddy or talk to it or whatever till he fell asleep. It was hard for us, but he got through it. My son's whole mindset was if he fell asleep he would miss something exciting... Yeah me sleeping was not exciting... So he figured it out pretty quick and slept through the night better with the buddy than he ever did with the bottle!
Good luck, always a bonus with kids, always something new and exciting!

Hehe, I'm a Pats fan, but they honestly deserved to lose that playoff game the way they played against Baltimore (runs from Pup ).
Really have no opinion, but being at a sports bar in Baltimore during a game, I learned their fans are CRAZY!
They were playing the Pats at the time but yelling at the screen FU Steelers! I was just scratching my head.

Nah, I'm a realist, they did deserve to lose. As far as the Flacco deal, that's too much for him IMO, but he is benefitting from both "what have you done for me lately" and a weak quarterback draft class. That's also going to but a major cramp on Baltimore's cap situation.

Yeah, not sure how much Ray Lewis was payed, but it likely made the way to overpay Flacco with him leaving.

Desperation makes a team do desperate things. I wouldn't even put flacco in the top 5 qb's in the league and it's questionable if he'd even be top 10. For him to make more than Brady, Brees, both Mannings and Big Ben is just robbery.

Well made it through the day.

Jmar, good luck with weening the kid. My youngest is the same age, and he needs to drop the Paci, his front teeth have a gap from it but he will make your life a living hell if you take them from him parenting. You'd think we'd have it figured out by now!

Anyone with an N7, check out the NVISION app.

And. Anyone with one know of a case that will prop the N7 in landscape and portrait?

Do you use this for things like scanning receipts or bills, etc...

I see those commercials for NeatDesk scanners, but man they are expensive.

Just wondering how you use it.

For example, Dad:

As a volunteer for the DAV, I report my volunteer hours each month. I complete my form, lay it on the table, scan it into the phone, and e-mail it straight from the phone. Saves me a long-distance fax each month

Let's say you have a document to send to multiple people: no need to mail or fax it over and over: scan it in, and e-mail it to multiple recipients.

CamScanner is also amazing in HOW it scans: you don't even have to be straight over the document... it will straighten the image out and align it magically! It's just COOL.

Sometimes I use it for receipts or something, but that's rare. Yeah, Chief still slaughters trees

Hi Halon,
I updated the N7 to 4.2.2 as well and thought I had kept root. However, 2 days later, Titranium failed and that is when I realized I lost root. I think I lost it after I accepted the update and not until I rebooted it two days later...weird. Anyway, had to re-root, but Wugs updated to work on 4.2 last week so all was well.
Hope yours holds!

<--- Loves Google Play Music

But: If you have Apollo Music Player installed, freeze it in Titanium Backup... I have found it will interfere with Play by taking control of playback.

Also clear Play Music data every so often BEFORE making a nandroid: it will build up quite a data pile (in the GBs) and nandroids will be large and slow.

Evening all! Anyone ever heard of the Seneca Guns? Boy howdy did we have a loud one be this afternoon, shook the house more than ever. They are not uncommon here. Amazing that in 2013, there is not one accepted explanation, just lots of speculation as to the cause.

Just a quick question for the WH... Maybe someone here has a suggestion for me? Trying to figure out the best computer set up for the HTP that we are trying to run for streaming video and PC games with our Samsung tv... And now I am having problems playing Skyrim. Apparently because my graphics APU is not good enough? Well according to the manufacturers site it should be fine... But my computer is overheating... This is the thread I started...

APU or Discrete Video Card

TIA

Ryan, if it's a Samsung HDTV, I am getting a new laptop today that has a WiDi capable wireless card in it. Then get a Netgear adapter for your TV. That way, you can mirror your laptop screen to the television.

Amazon.com: Netgear PUSH2TV HD PTV2000 1080P Adapter for Wireless Display: Electronics

There is a PTV3000 but I do not recommend it. Make sure though that your wireless card is WiDi capable.

Thanks Chief... I wish the PC had the ability, and will be looking for a new laptop soon so who knows.
Anyways, finally just ordered a new video card. Seemed the right thing to do in this case. So I have a water cooler for the CPU coming this week and a new video card! New toys, woo hoo!
This is the video card, although I found 2 discount codes to use, so I got it for less than $80!

I see those commercials for NeatDesk scanners, but man they are expensive.

Just wondering how you use it.
I have both the CamScanner app and NeatDesk scanner, love them both and they work well together. Obviously I use CamScanner on the road, but the Neat software is outstanding for keeping track of receipts and paperwork.

Is everyone (or most) still using JBSourcery in here?

How is 5.0 treating you? Is it still going strong or do you see some lag starting to form here and there with daily use? I am still on 4.5 waiting to hear results before I jump to 5.0 or leave for another ROM.

Sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes for the screen to come on even having tried different kernels. Just frustrated - makes me want to go back to stock to ensure my phone works, but I absolutely love the customization and truly could never go back.
