Really jealous of that warm weather. Getting tired of freezing temperatures, and having to de-ice/snow brush the car every morning. Even though spring starts officially in a few days, it won't feel like it here.

More winter weather here. 2-4 inches of snow and some ice.

Good morning everyone - ugh its Monday.

I have two "offsite" meetings this week so that should be nice and exciting. Get away from my desk for a bit and just spend hours in a meeting room working on some new specs for the new program we are working on.

Back to the gym 3-4x a week regularly now and I feel amazing. Trying to get in shape for the Disney vacation with the fiancee and her family in May. I am so excited to go - haven't been there in a few years and it's going to be a blast.

BTW it is going to snow in NJ today, but last year it was 64į and the year before that it was 78į today, ugh.

That's how I felt the weeks before mine was communicated to me.

Congrats on the raise though!

So the wife and I are moving back to Albuquerque next month, and it canít get here soon enough!

ABQ weather today: 79 degrees.
Chicago: 37 with freezing rain, which I can corroborate by looking out my window.

If I were on GSM I would give this phone a try.

Meet the tiny, Florida-based phone maker that thinks it can beat Samsung | The Verge

BLU Life Series phones include quad-core CPU, Android 4.2, start at $229 unlocked

Quote:
The Life View ($299), the largest of the bunch, includes a massive 5.7-inch display, a 12-megapixel rear / 5-megapixel front camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and a 2,600mAh battery. Meanwhile, the more reasonably sized Life One ($299) includes a 5-inch display, a 13-megapixel rear / 5-megapixel front camera, similar storage specs and a 2,000mAh battery. Lastly, the sleekest of the three, the Life Play ($229), includes a 4.7-inch display and measures 7.9mm thick. Here, you can expect to find an 8-megapixel rear / 2-megapixel front camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of expandable storage and an 1,800mAh battery. You'll find the band support for each of the three phones in the PR after the break, but needless to say, you'll be safe on AT&T (and in many areas, T-Mobile).

4.7 inch screen, and a battery under 2000 mAh? Why bother unplugging it from the wall?

The first phone listed sounds decent though.

Geek, there are over 100 acts but the headliners include Paul McCartney, Bjork, ZZ Top, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, Weird Al Yankovic, etc. etc. etc.

I normally avoid Bonnaroo like the plague but this year's lineup is just too much to resist!

Awesome! I'm going to have to find the list somehwere.

Edit: meh, outside of the ones you just mentioned, not much I care about...and really don't care about some of them. Big names but a little before my time. Mumford & Sons, the lumineers, and Daniel Tosh would be the only 3 I would really like.

Hey all, trying to figure out what's going on with my phone - I got a notification saying that my version of Wallet isn't supported anymore, and I can't find it searching in the Play Store. Has it been broken for the GNex again?

Also, my Flash Player appears to be broken - Flash-requiring sites say that I don't have it. I know that Flash for Android has been crazy for a while, but are we totally S.O.L. now? Thanks in advance friends

It looks like I have to take back what I said last night. Apparently I watched a cheap knock-off of Jack the Giant Killer. I believe I said it was like watching a Syfy movie. What I watched very well may have been on there?

Sending positive thoughts and waves. You are young and strong. You will prevail. Period.

p.s. you have some survivors in the WH (at least me and Copacetic AFAIK), so feel free to PM if you ever need moral support.

Good to hear bbkid, that things are looking up!

We got rocked tonight, hail and very heavy winds... But I guess not that bad, as we kept power and kids slept through it.

I was wondering how that was hitting you after seeing tweets from the weather channel of baseball sized hail. Intense stuff.

We just got the call that school is delayed opening tomorrow. While I appreciate that the superintendent decided tonight was better than 5:30 am I am bummed because delayed opening means no Zumba for me. I abhor snow and can't wait till this crap is done and gone.

I know the feeling. Oddly enough, we're getting almost pure sleet from this system. Going to make it interesting cleaning the car off tomorrow if it all froze together.

I haven't been outside since the snow/sleet started. I was doing a dance of joy when bowling was cancelled too.

Morning all... Big wigs in the office today, should be interesting. Apparently this new site in Austin is like a guinea pig for corporate office foundations... A model they want to try, and possibly follow in the future. Apparently we are meant to be a completely cloud based site... Too bad we had people move here (like my wife and i) so we have a comparison to how computers are supposed to work. This is not it.

Good example: over the weekend one of our server sites, somewhere in Oregon, had a fire, and the facilities were damaged. Since our site is all cloud based, we are dependent on that facility to provide Exchange and program connections. Oops... They were still offline yesterday, and oops no redundancy... And oops, we were offline all day yesterday, until emails and electronic faxes started appearing at 5 min till the office closed. Should be fun playing catch up, while 2 board members are here. Oh and one of those board members.. The vp of operations for all of IT. And the other one... The vp for worldwide customer service. Lol Since we are supposed to be a Call Center, the focus has been to make sure the queue is always running.. Which is managed by a cloud based system.

Looking forward to seeing if anyone says something to them today, or if the new site manager is just going to be #*$ kissing today... My guess is everything will appear to be in perfect working order and we will be congratulated on how well we are doing!
Happy Tuesday!

Doesn't look good for any future Samsung development

Maybe that Moto X line or LG Nexus will look good on my hip...

Yikes. Poo on Samsung. Looks like Nexus for me. All of you other Gnexers should be elligible for an upgrade around the same time as me. December Of what I'm hearing so far, it looks like the Moto X phone or the Nexus 5 will be my front runners.

Talked to a co-worker about her Note 2 yesterday and I've pretty much ruled it out. I thought the pen functionality would be nice, but it just doesn't look practical on that size of a screen. Really too big for a phone but not big enough for a tablet to function how I would want it to. So maybe the next Note 10.1 will be something I could try. I think that would be my ideal setup. A Note 10.1 and a Nexus phone.

I've become quite a brat about phones now, and I'm blaming ALL of you! I would even consider Moto IF it was a nexus device. Although I may jump to the death star if they don't cripple it like Verizon does.

Honestly I love my wife's rezound. It's been a great phone. I honestly think I would have been just as happy with it and an extended battery as I am my Nexus. Maybe moreso.
