Felt like sharing. Here to hoping that Goog and T-Mobile decide to reactivate LTE in the N4.

Not bad...
They won't because it isn't FCC certified for it. However I read that having the 4.2.1 radios installed keeps it enabled. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to test it. Dread would starting on the 26th

I'm really having a moment here...

I really am. Its kind of surreal.

The Chief has been accepted as a volunteer at Bonnaroo!

So I do a little volunteer work, live in my conversion van for a couple of days, and get into the event for FREE. What's not to love?

Chief, I don't see you as one who likes the music at Bonaroo? Do you?
I've a couple employees at work who have volunteered a few times in the past. They loved it!

98% of it, NO. Couldn't care less if I worked those shows. I typed in the top 5 acts that I want to see, and hopefully they can work my schedule around those shows

I DO love Bjork. One of my faves. Waiting for Ultravox to play the Roo... I'll be back!

EDIT: On a completely different topic, I found this and thought it worth sharing:

Particularly of interest, since I've BEEN to New Guinea...

That’s me today. I am half way through a two-month road trip for business, family, etc. So far, I have gone Vancouver-Newark-LA-Vegas-LA-New York. And still have LA-Vancouver to complete. Stomach is still in LA, feet are in NY, brain is MIA (not Miami unfortunately). Wish I was in Austin with Ryan. Need me some BBQ. Cap’n Ron, HOW do you survive?
"Ever wake up and not know where you are?" LOL. What's really bizarre is waking up, not knowing where you are then realizing you're home in your own bed.

A "two-month" road trip? You have my sympathies. My longest trips are "only" 13 days.

Back is hurting again. really don't want to go to the doctor, but I'm tired of dealing with it. Although trying one of those icy hot back patches and it's working pretty good.

Just did physio myself:
Muscle pull/strain? Alternate heat and ice. Advil to reduce swelling.
Disc? Try home-made traction - fold yourself over a high-backed couch. Or lay on the floor and grab something heavy while wifey pulls your legs. (Pulling your finger also helps )

Hope you feel better!

I hope you feel better soon!

Something I failed to mention in my review of the Nexus 4 is just how well GPS works. Locks within a matter of a few seconds...every time. It really is night and day between the two devices. No GPS mods or fixing permissions or wiping cache to get it going. No waiting a long time for the first lock to ensure future locks are quicker. Don't get me wrong...I really enjoyed my time with the GNex...but this phone is a serious upgrade in terms of the small/important details. In certain aspects, those details sometimes make or break one's perception of a device.

I've been running AOKP B5 since I got home the day I bought the device. My wife, however, is on stock 4.2.2. I've not had a single issue. My wife's phone, however, had a kernel panic toggling HDR mode in the camera app and the phone rebooted. My wife doesn't care much for customization, but she does appreciate a bug free experience. Will be unlocking and rooting her phone tonight.

A couple songs. DJ was just ok so I wasn't overly inspired. They did pull me to the front for the Casper Slide to help lead though.

We are due to get snow today too. This never ending winter is going to send me to the loony bin.

Captain Ron can you PLEASE come get me and fly me somewhere warm?? Pretty please.

Looks to be 3 or 4 inches and still snowing

The date was good. Conversation flowed very well. Both of us would like to do something again. I've never met a Wildlife Biologist before! I heard stories of animal attacks, drinking with Senators and head of homeland security and Ted Nugent. But, I start to think of the future relationship stuff and wonder if I even want it again? I don't know...

Being a CM developer, he probably also hates that Samsung has been making development on their devices tougher by only releasing the bare minimum as mandated by the GPL. They still don't have a stable build of cm 9, 10, or 10.1 for the s3, let alone the note 2 because of this.

Halon, chances are pretty good that, in her circle, she's never met a locomotive repairman either! It sounds like it was interesting for both of you. Glad you had a nice time

Sometimes it takes more than one date and even if it doesn't work out, you can still be friends

I hope things work out for you halon.

I'm happy to day for once this winter the storm didn't hit us. As of the last storm Worcester, MA (about 5 miles from me) had the most snow of any city in the US (including Nome, Alaska). I'm not sure if this storm changed that.

What's the snow total for the year thus far? Or did they mean most on the ground currently?

So don't think of future relationship stuff. Just go with it in the moment for now and see if it develops. Have fun! That's the most important part.

I don't know if I want the future again either.

Nah, I'm just playing, I understand what you meant.

Remember, if you don't want to see her again, just ask her if she has a sister.

Chief - that golf shot was amazing!

that's a cheap shot, EM
She sounds like an interesting person. I wouldn't have such interesting stories to tell on a first date.

There was nothing cheap about that. People pay for the comedy channel and often don't get half as good a laugh.

Besides, I never once said anything bad about her, the date or relationships. I don't think that she needs defending.

Only cheap shot I made was about the future.

I'm living in the future. It deserves a cheap shot!

Morning all.. Happy Monday, I think.
Weekend was terrible, but over now. Wife is sick, got some kind of cold/throat/cough thing going around the office, and she got it. Doesn't feel too good. My overnight sleep test.. Yeah, looks like I gave them a great test, did all the things my wife has told me I was doing at night.. Not sleeping, not breathing and woke up with the worst migraine I have ever had in my life.. Lasted through last night, still not gone today. Oye... Will hear something by middle of the week on results, may be that I should have something to help me breathe at night... /pity

Got to do a GHangout with my 12y old son yesterday! Love technology! Miss him terribly, but glad we can talk and catch up. That Nexus 7 for Christmas was an exceptionally great gift.

On a happier note... Sounds like winter for some, and a great first date! Best of luck! And I am sure the conversations to come will find lots of topics that neither of you have had before... Always a good thing!

Most on the ground at once was 2010, at one point we had over 6' on the ground (and roof) at once. IIRC we have had 107" of snow this year. I wouldn't have believed it was the most in the country but it was mentioned on the national news too.

Nice! That's pretty impressive snow. I think we've had about 75 inches so far, which is about 20 under average thus far. Syracuse is close to you at 101. Wonder if you can hold them off?

Yeah, I doubt it. That is what surprised me is beating out Alaska and the cities in upstate NY that get all the lake effect snow.

Yeah, I can imagine. I'm thinking we won't get too much more now that is the end of March. Might get a random April snowfall or two, but probably won't amount too much.

No, no, just go the George Costanza route. Ask her to have a ménage à trois with her roommate. If she throws water in your face, great.

If she says "she's into it" then you, my friend, have a choice to make.
