Ryan, hope you can get along with it.
My grandfather had terrible sleep apnea. I stayed in a room with him once for my brother's graduation. He would snore and then stop breathing several times. I could sleep at all; just waiting for him to start again. It's scary for sure. My father in law is on either meds or a machine for breathing assistance as well. Can't imagine what it's like to deal with that.

Ah, as BB said, kicking the smoking habit is never fun but best of luck! One of the best health decisions you can make.

Dude good luck on kicking the smoking habit.....

In keeping with my trip to Australia lately. I learned that a pack of smokes cost from 15-20$ a pack...in addition to that. They put gross cancer pics on every pack of cigs and just barely put the brand name on the pack.

here is a pack i found on the sidewalk.

i hope no one is offended by the pics. If so feel free to report them and have them removed or let me know and i'll remove them.

Eesh, yeah that's bad!
I remember when I was in Europe, packs had all kinds of crazy sayings and pics on them. Usually just a huge sticker that'd say "Smoking Kills" (in whatever language it was).
Didn't they just sort of start doing that here in the states not too long ago?

Good morning Anti!

As far as Dragon goes: I suppose you can have multiple profiles per input device... just not multiple input devices per profile. Which IMHO is utterly ridiculous. Such an easy programming fix, and Nuance was just being snotty about it. No, I was (and still am) frustrated that I trained Dragon with the Remote Microphone, which doesn't work more often than it does... now I have to train Dragon all over again just to switch inputs. Stupid.

All the best Ryan!

Good to hear you have a diagnosis Ryan! Now that you know what it is, it's very treatable. I've heard really good results from the cpap machine....maybe a bit odd sleeping with it at first but I'm sure you'll get use to it and start sleeping better very soon!

Good morning folks!

Chief, are the grocery stores stocked back up with milk and bread today?

Its just expanded smilies. I know I saw them more in GoSMS and Handcent than in stock SMS.

WOO HOO!

My son has been accepted and has a seat at Tennessee Technology Center, where he'll spend 20 months studying Computer Information Technology and getting his certifications... and the VA is paying for the WHOLE THING!

BOO HOO!

He's living with US for the next 20 months! We're trying to sprint into this whole empty nest thing... and kids seem to be harder to get rid of than a bad cold

Congrats Chief!! That's great news. Except the not so empty nest. Although at least he never left....I left my parents, then got divorced and went back +1!!!! See, it could be worse.

Pup that article looks like it would have been a great time waster at work for me (when I worked) :what:

The Federal Trade Commission recently announced a crackdown on senders of spam text messages and charged eight defendants with collectively sending over 180 million messages promising ‘free’ gift cards and prizes. That’s right. Millions of people are receiving spam texts.

If you are getting spam text messages, forward them to 7726 (SPAM). This free reporting service is operated on behalf of the GSMA, a consortium of international phone providers. With your help, security companies and carriers can analyze the information and stop future spam messages. Let's stop phone spam!

Some interesting local news, Georgia Southern university is moving up to FBS. They will be expanding the stadium by 30% as a result. Unfortunately they are getting rid of the grassy hills that our family like to sit on to watch games. Probably won't be taking the kids to any for a few years

Me too. And I also hope some big pharmaceutical company doesn't buy up this antibody and throw it in a deep, dark pit in order to keep making money off of chemo and other long-term drugs.

Well, if enough people track this story and find out what company bought & hid it, it would make for a PR nightmare. Let's hope this is the one that actually gets out and works

About the only thing better than a 3-day weekend is a FOUR-day weekend! Congrats and enjoy, Halon

Anyone use or can recommend a good password manager? One that can work across my desktop and android?

I was looking at Lastpass, but that looks like their app for android has a built in browser, and you have to use their browser to use their password manager stuff. I'd rather be able to use my own browser - whatever that may be.

The Penguins are on an awesome streak! Along with the trades they made...I see a Stanley Cup in our future!

OK. I'll look into keepass then. Does it recommend passwords as well?

Hopefully, it doesn't make you use a proprietary browser as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, it can generate passwords.

No browser. Just an app and a database file that you can sync back/forth with dropbox, etc.

Dumb question, why can't Google bake in a simple reboot option in AOSP?

Morning all! TGIF finally a Friday! Been absolutely insanely busy at work this week, but hoping today is a little slower.
Anyone have fantastic plans for the weekend? We are going to try to find a great place for brunch for Sunday morning, try to get out to try somewhere new. And Saturday my family back in CA is getting together, so we will get to do a big family Skype! Woo hoo... Always fun the when we get to talk to the family... Especially when my kids are there!

Is it considered a nightmare if you dream about your ex wife and mother in law? It woke me up and I can't get back to sleep!

I can't think of any scenario where that is a good dream. Ok, yeah I can. They just dropped off 3 cases of beer, apologized for everything they ever did wrong to you, and announced they are moving to Europe.
