I was following on reddit and on ustream. Someone had a camera pointed at a scanner so it was basically like being there. I don't know how it played out on TV?

Well no infection for my son, so that's good news. Back at work today, for the entire day unfortunately.

Glad to see that the Boston Marathon saga is over, at least as far as the danger to the public.

Good to hear Anti!

I'm right here with you at work...all day...10 hours of it. Had planned on being at MSU's baseball game and spring football game today...first one I've missed in years! I got put on the highest priority job on the site a couple of days ago, so I'm here overseeing that. Had a meeting with the site VP yesterday on it. Most of the work from engineering has been done and got completed last night.

While it's a nice day out, we're opting for going to the movies. Going to see The Place Beyond the Pines at the local AFI theater. It's a beautiful place.

Morning all... Stopping in to say hi. Just got back from the pool. Amazing how quickly I get tired when I have not actively exercised in over 5 years... Oye. Lol... But, quitting smoking, getting back in the pool, and trying to learn how to sleep better... Lots of changes all at once.
Spent the day yesterday hanging out with the wife on the couch. Nice day actually.
Finally caught up on the last of the second season of Game of Thrones. And then watched Inception. Had that disc sitting next to the TV for 6 months before we moved, and now we have been here for 3 1/2 months... Figured it was time to unwrap it...
Today we are off to brunch a little later at a seafood restaurant here J the town, looking forward to that.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

RUMOR

Quote:
What makes this believable is that it addresses some issues that were seen on the current version of the Google Nexus 4, namely the lack of an LTE radio. Also, the inclusion of CDMA support will allow Sprint and Verizon to offer the phone. The 32GB model takes care of those who complained about not having a microSD slot for the phone.
Report claims Google I/O will reveal just an updated 32GB Google Nexus 4 with LTE support

Stats of today's run before my dog (rescue mutt) decided to lay down and say "no more." IMO, not bad considering doggie potty breaks, traffic lights and having to calm her down every time someone went by on a bike or when a bird flew in front of her.

Default Help with Touchdown

My Hosted email Exchange provider Apptix/Mailstreet migrated the desktop to Exchange 2010 over the weekend, complete with a profile update for the desktop.

I am unable to get the settings right, to connect my Nexus 4.2.1 to their servers, to get the mail.

I've made dozens of settings changes within the touchdown program.

My question is, do I need to change or add these settings under accounts, on the Settings screen of the Nexus so it will connect?

Although I have a different phone, I went through the same thing with my host and touchdown as well. You know that your touchdown log in ID may have been changed by your host service, and almost certainly you have a new server name? Mailstreet tech support should be familiar with setting up touchdown if you haven't already tried them. Let me know what happens.

Even though I am happy with my N4, I'll be kinda mad considering that I would have liked more storage and native LTE support. Don't get me wrong, I hacked mine and my wife's phones so that we could get LTE to work but still. Oh well though, that's the tech world. Always moving too fast!

Default Touchdown

I did change almost every settings per Touchdown, still no luck there.

I am able to set up the native email client on the phone, so I believe I have a backup just in case.

I tried dumping touchdown out of accounts, but when I try to recreate a new touchdown account, I'm getting the dreaded, "unfortunately settings has stopped"

arrrghh.

Thanks for the reply Ihatemytreo.

Guess I have to bug Touchdown for some loving.

Default Touchdown

I think I'll take it a step further, and upgrade my OS to AOKP's latest released last week.

I am currently on 4.2.1 and it's the worst "phone" i've had in 20 years. In areas I've had service for years, it flat won't work.

Since I have to basically start over with Touchdown, and I have done it before, I think I'll try new base software to see if that cheers up the phone some.

Running a nandroid per Chief's write ups as we speak, and start over.

Not sure why the OS won't let me add the Touchdown account under account settings.

I'm starting here
Milestones, nightlies, and millions! | AOKP

flash the new OS, then flash the gapps, but I don't see anything about new radios. Are they included in gapps?

Thank you.

Afternoon everyone! Well some unfortunate news when we got home from church. Our neighbor two houses down had their car stolen out of their driveway last night. To make matters worse it's just her as her husband is in Afghanistan. AND she's pregnant. Criminals suck.

Well, not as bad as getting your car stolen, but spring kind of unsprung today... guess the summer wardrobe has to stay on the shelf.

I think I'm halfway home with one hitch. In order to run Titanium "Restore Missing Apps + System Data" i have enabled Settings-Security-check unknown Sources Box.

I downloaded my pro license from themarket, Then when I open titanium, and click the check box at the top, and scroll down to Restore missing apps + all System data, I don't see any check box, to click GO. If I click the green arrow, it flashes in one second and gives me the notification Titanium backup pro - Batch restore Finished.

But I don't think it restores anything. My main screen still is missing icons, or does this take a half hour for it to restore things? the phone "desktop" is still empty, no icons there.

I just re-read Chief's notes. Is a Reboot required for the "restore" to start working?

A restore will take far longer than one second. SOMETHING happened. It looks to me like no apps or data backed up

And MAKE SURE that you do NOT restore system elements in a new ROM other than the ones listed in my Guide - you WILL have problems!

But to answer your question, yes. Always reboot after a titanium restore.

According to antennapoint dot com I should be able to at least pick up CBS, ABC and probably NBC and FOX. But I'm only getting CBS. My other problem is I have a freaking mountain right across the road that is more than likely blocking signal. I so hate central PA and all these damn mountains!

I guess it's back to getting my stuff off the internet.

Adjuster, wipe the phone, restore the nandroid backup and run TiBU again. Something didn't back up. Do you have the Pro key?

I wonder if the LTE will only be on the cdma version or if it will include t-mobile/AT&T LTE as well?

Yes, but I am not sure how to get it.

I'm running in Demo Mode Right now from the Market.

I downloaded the HD Version, which says for ICS and Jelly bean but I'm wondering if that is tablet onlv version

If I go into TiBU, it has an option under menu, special backup /restore
Restore Data from xml
Extract from Nandroid Backup, which I made before wiping
Extract from ADB Backup

Anybody ever try the extract from Nandroid?

No, I haven't tried that... you can always give it a shot...

I am not educated on Demo Mode so my help is limited

You couldn't just install the operating system back onto it?

This MAY work:
How to Flash 5.9.905 GB, 6.7.246 ICS or 98.72.22 JB with Rsdlite
It's what I did for my wife's. But, if you're already on JB, I'm not sure if it'll work.
BBK, feel free to PM Thom Little or OutOfPhase. They both know quite a bit about Bionics. I'm sure you haven't killed it yet.

Morning folks!
Would ya'll advise a complete wipe going from AOKP Build 6 to MR1?
Just put it on my N7, considering it on my Gnex which is running just fine on B6.

Oh geez...Lord help me. A co-worker just brought his brand new Note 8.0 in. Gadget envy setting in.

Took it for a test drive. Very snappy performance. Good looking screen. Handwriting to text works darn near flawlessly.
Stigy and breadnatty08 like this.

Do you know if they're in Best Buy yet? May go play around with one tomorrow if so. I don't know, just updated my N7 ROM, and with as little I play with it, the Note 8.0 isn't tempting one bit. Plus, most reviews still say the N7 is a better buy. (stylus is sweet though)

No doubt the N7 is a better buy, but the stylus functionality is awesome. I love the handwriting to text functionality.

I don't see much reason to get a Note phone, as I don't think the stylus function would be as practical as it is on the 8. I could really see using the stylus a lot on the 8 and even moreso on the 10.
