In that case, I'll set my Interocitor back a bit and correctly say -

Invaders from Mars!

LoL at the first blunder.

Bonus for identifying Interocitor without Google.

(yeah, I know - doesn’t excuse my phail but it's still a fun, on-point question )

Yes, Invaders From Mars. Scared the **** out of me as a kid. Worried I'd fall into a cave and the Martians would put in implant in my head. Mmm, maybe they did.

Interocitor? I had to Google that and had no recollection of it or the film. Pretty esoteric, Early. Will have to find it to watch.

Interesting find. After looking in the build.prop on my device, I noticed mine was set at 128 instead of 64 or 96. How strange.

I changed mine and noticed a different after reboot. Not sure if anyone remembers but I was complaining about free RAM on my device after flashing JBSourcery and this seems to have fixed that issue as well.

Phone is running much, much better since yesterday. Still want to give it a few days to run through the paces.

What are you changing in the build prop and what did you change it to Stig? Mine lags horribly at times, especially when downloading updates

Mine didn't help app updates but overall speed has increased. People are saying the update to 4.2.2_r1 and any ROM that includes it reduced lag during app updates, but I haven't flashed anything like that yet.

build.prop should be:
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=64m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=384m
(like Nexus 7)

instead of:
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=96m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=256m

Did you have plenty of battery life?
Can you boot into recovery?

I had above 20%. After a lot of playing around I finally got it. I got to a screen I never seen before (all black screen with options in blue in the top left corner that I almost didn't see/barley see) and I picked reboot. I have yet to put recovery on here lol

I had it on a few times but then the screen would go crazy and turn off.

The easiest way to get the latest version of TWRP Recovery is to download GooManager from Play. Open it and in the setting menu (3 dots) you'll find Install OpenRecovery Script. Hit that and it'll install the latest TWRP.

Did you never unlock and/or did you use one of those exploits from the early ICS days to root?

Like the other guys said, TWRP has been great on my N7 (and Gnex for that matter).
Should I assume your bootloader is already unlocked? Flashing TWRP is as easy as Chief put it. And then get yourself a nandroid backup and TiBu etc.

I might suggest a nandroid backup and flashing JBSourcery... then look at the plethora of options available to customize your phone. Don't like it? Try AOKP like Dread suggested. They're the top 2 ROMs. Don't like it? Restore the nandroid. No love lost.

Hmm, this is interesting. So it has something to do with RAM usage?

I was about to say..... Didn't think Sourcery was developing for the N7.
Halon, there's a couple other good ROMs out there for it: Xenon, Eclipse and ParanoidAndroid are all pretty good. I still consider AOKP the most stable. Their new venture into nightlies excites me (and the ease of updating also).

And, Chief, that post count does need some help.

Those are all for the N7? Any links?

Left work last night and the N7 was still acting up. I let it charge all night and it now works like nothing ever happened.

Eclipse has been renamed ElementalX, but that's what I use on my Nexus 7. It's a great rom, especially if you like the inverted look.

The first one was such an amazing movie. Second one was OK, but not as good as the first.

Alex Winter did an AMA on Reddit yesterday but wouldn't answer on B&T3. I do know they both want to do it and I'm pretty sure there is a finished script. He did say during an interview they wrote into the script on why Rufus isn't around, but it would be awesome if George Carlin(best comedian EVER) were still alive to be in it.

Party on, Dudes!

Wow Kelmar, that's spot's bound to improve soon. It can't hurt forever!
Well, unless the doc left a pair of forceps in there or something

*SIGH*

Spent 5 hours at our son's first residence away from home. A condemn-able single wide that the manager has already said he'll be the last tenant in. The first thing to go were the slimy carpets: all the way to the baseboards. We will mop the baseboards with bleach water and - if he HAS to live there - install linoleum remnant throughout.

We don't know if this is going to be habitable even after our hard work: we're hoping something better for the same low rent opens up soon so the manager can scrap this one. I can't imagine anything being any worse than this.
