So far she's been too busy with the trailer to boo-hoo, but I know that's coming. I have some wine tucked away for her, to lighten her mood. We'll do a lot of dinner out, some shopping ( yeah, you know it's serious when I go shopping with her) and whatever else we can come up with.

EXAMPLE: This Saturday is an all day railroad excursion on a 1950s passenger train out of Nashville to the Monterey Dogwood Festival. Should be a very nice time.

The plan is to keep her busy and occupied so she doesn't sit there and just cry.

We'll see if it works

It's funny, because I think my mother cried tears of joy when I left.

Dogwoods bloom yet?

Brother in Missouri says they are a month late.

Dogwoods bloomed last week here. The last of the blooms fell off Sunday.

Hey Chief, or anyone else using JBS, are you using the 5.2.2 experimental? How's it holding out for you? Any chatter on when the next stable will release? I want to download the experimental, but if they drop the stable later today or even tomorrow, then it can be a pain.

I have so many apps that updating is a pain in the rear. It takes forever.

Just got the biopsy results back. One was completely OK. The chest biopsy had issues but it was all confined to within the area they removed....

Best of both worlds... Didn't carve a chunk out of my chest for nothing (and not having to go digging again anytime soon) and not dying of cancer.

Any idea what changes they introduced in the 5.2.2 experimental?

Woohooo - I actually got to the theater early and got to choose my 3D glasses. I picked Tony Stark. And I got my pass on a lanyard allowing me to come and go. See you all later!

Awesome to hear Kelmar! Got to be a great feeling!

Have fun BB!

So have a lot planned for this weekend, but mother nature isn't wanting to cooperate. Fishing rodeo with my oldest but 70% chance of rain, and zoo with the whole family the next day, but still 40% chance hopefully that changes for the better!

5.2.2? About to flash it now... unless something catastrophic happened. I understand there is an option to replace the nav keys with ribbon functionality... sounds intriguing

Apparently ribbon functionality replaces the nav keys by giving you what you need, not the same things all the time. I don't know but I'll tell you when I flash it )

I tried PIE controls but didn't like them because I couldn't type any letters or numbers in the upper right corner of the keyboard without opening the PIE Controls instead. It was infuriating.

The only thing I've found I don't like is I lose my notification bar and don't know how/if you can get it back and keep pie controls :S

Half hour into IM2 and we get kicked out of the theater for a fire drill of some sort. There are no trucks here and I don't hear any sirens so I'm thinking someone oopsed big time. I just hope I get to finish seeing everything.

No. But we got the glasses. I just wanted to see them though so it didn't have any bearing on my decision to get the tickets.

Some idiot pulled the fire alarm. We are all on our way back in now.

Well, I found out in a bad way that you can't dirty flash with Zebra Gapps

Oh well, that was a learning experience... clean flashing 5.2.2 now

Let us know how it goes Chief. Any idea if there is a stable around the corner? It takes forever for me to clean wipe, because of my affliction for apps, and get set back up.

Right now I'm having issues. MAJOR issues. Not with the ROM, but with Zebra Gapps. I have flashed them TWICE and still have no Google Play services. If I can't get a solution soon, I'm going to do the forbidden and try restoring Play services from Titanium Backup. And if that screws everything up, no love lost as I'll be wiping the phone and nandroiding back.

EDIT: Hold, on, possible solution coming...

Babyblues - PM me your thoughts on IM3 after you are done (I enjoyed it). I "heard" that Stan Lee gave it a 10.

Well folks, I had to completely re-wipe and re-flash and restore... but Ginny's up & running on 5.2.2. Not sure where to find this "ribbon functionality", and quite frankly I'm not looking for it tonight. Too burned out on trying to get her working again. I'll do some more exploring in the morning

Will do!

I do have to say that I have some gaps to fill in with the other movies. I know I now have to watch Captain America, Thor, Incredible Hulk - am I missing any?

IM3 does a fairly good job of filling in gaps EXCEPT for what happened in Avengers. If you hadn't seen Avengers there would be a few times were you would have no idea what was being referred to.

Thor 2 (you'll see the preview soon enough). Think you got them all.

Proof?

I find it very hard to believe that Verizon would out a device so early... Or allow anyone else to.

Granted it is "a source" stating it, but we gotta take what we can get.

What is your review of IM3? I'm debating about seeing it while I have access to 3D theaters before going back to rural Utah.

Motorola X Phone pics surface: these are real folks! And, we've got more info on codename: Ghost
Motorola X or S4? Either way, I like having options. Back when the Galaxy Nexus came out, it was the obvious winner, then and even with 20/20 hindsight.

I've had both Motorola Droids and now the GN, and I got to say I think I like Samsung better. Of course, that may not be a fair comparison since the GN is newer.

Rootability will of course be a huge factor.

Bummer it looks like the HUGE IMAX theater at the Nat'l History Museum didn't pick up IM3.
But, according to their site they will have the new Star Trek when it comes out.

Morning all... And TGIF for the Friday folks!
Hope everyone is doing well. Life has been absolutely nuts and crazy and Oye... too busy... For a while, and I kinda feel out of the loop, but been following along here, there and everywhere.
Finally finished reading all 5 of the Game of Thrones books, definitely recommended.
Glad to see some new faces and all of the WH family out and about today! Hope everyone has some great weekend plans... And can enjoy a few days off!

Didn't see if from a quick check of the link. But what format is it (digital, 5/70, 15/70)?

Not quite sure. They tout it as one (if not the) of the biggest IMAX screens on the east coast. We saw TDKR there and it was surreal. Not in 3D but the screen was so big it took me several minutes to get acclimated.
It's a flat screen, not curved like others (the one at Air and Space Museum is, we saw a film about the Int'l Space Station that was insane there).
