Good morning all! Happy Monday.

Went to Philly with the lady on Saturday for a concert at TLA. Went to Love Park and grabbed cheese steaks at Tony Luke's. Always a good time out there.

Dirty flashing now to see if that works...

Anyway, my 3-day convention is behind me, so now it's back to full-time bothering you people

Have a great Sunday!

EDIT: Dirty flash seems to have worked! Only thing I had to do was reinstall Google Search from Play, and panorama mode is still borked in the camera from 5.3 on... but a solid ROM otherwise!
Changelog for 5.5?

None that I'm aware of. It's a bonus ROM, a follow-up to a bonus ROM, and I have no idea what's new in it...

But when did lack of a changelog stop crack-flashers like us?

What the heck is Crystal Ball for Sourcery?

Video of an Egyptian statue turning on its own inside a glass case. Real or viral marketing for the Museum?

Chief - any idea how to flash a Camera that contains photo sphere on JB? I had it on 5.2 or 5.3 but ever since going to 5.4 I only have the panorama option and I loved photo shphere.

@Stigy There is a city near me called Johnstown, mostly famous for the Great Johnstown Flood. Anyways. I was thinking last night about a store I remembered seeing downtown before. I worked downtown there years ago. It was record store. So I Googled it last night. It is the oldest record store in the U.S. and has 5 floors of records.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COPACETIC!!
Thank you everyone! Today I celebrate 50 years of God's greatest blessing! I am definitely not sure how I can be 50 when I feel 25. We have had a great day, we went with 5 other couples in our convertibles over to Watauga lake in Tennessee. We rented a pontoon boat and spent the afternoon on the water. Nexie saved us from a torrential downpour by showing us on radar where to hide, and the day was pretty perfect! Thanks again for all the well wishes and Halon, what is a yinzer ?

I know Epic Meal Time VERY well.

Penguins aren't playing. I hope Chicago wins. $^&@ Boston.

Did anyone watch Under the Dome? I read the book and am looking forward to seeing this. I just learned the Amazon Instant Video is streaming every episode of this! So I get to see it with out having to look around on the net for it. I have a feeling they are going to ruin it by not keeping the ending. Although, I have no idea if this is a mini-series or if they are trying to have it as a ongoing series? I can't see any way they could make it ongoing? Think about it. I would say why but it is part of the book.

DAMN! I just read that King has approved a different ending for the tv show! *insert a bunch of NSFW language here*

Uh, no... I haven't had a reason to flash another stock camera app. I have CameraZoom FX and HDR+ apps, but neither will have photosphere. Sorry

I figured out Crystal Ball, Halon.

What it does is sit hidden on the left side of the screen. When you get a notification, you can drag it out to the right and it will open a pop-up window of the app you were notified about.

Example: If you get a notification that I replied to this, the Crystal Ball will actually overlay the AndroidForums (or Tapatalk) app OVER your homescreen, so you can interact with it at will. When you're done, just touch the background homescreen, the pop-up disappears, and the Ball will float gracefully back until the next notification.

Pretty clever, actually

Good morning all.

The hockey game was absolutely bonkers last night. Honestly one of the best Stanley Cup finals that I have ever watched. What a way to end the series though - an entire momentum shift in 17 seconds, incredible.

1. Oh okay thanks - maybe I will switch Camera apps then. I'll test some of those out.

2. That sounds like they took Halo from PA and rebranded it as something else if its how you described.

Looks like I missed Copacetic's b-day yesterday. Happy late Birthday!!

We're keeping our nieces (2 and 4 years old) and spent the day at the waterpark yesterday. Back to work for me today though. Should've used a high SPF sunscreen yesterday....I hate sunburns.

I'm still not a fan of smartwatces. But if I were to get one it would be the new Sony. It looks so much nicer than the Pebble.

And the Sony Z Ultra. I will say that thing looks very nice! It would be a little strange holding that thing up against my face for the phone function. However, I rarely use my phones for voice(I think last month I had 5 minutes of talk). One cool feature of the phone is you can use a pencil as a stylus.

Have you seen a Pebble in real life though? Honestly (and not because I have one), but I think it looks 100x better on my wrist than it does in photos.

I know Sony is claiming 3-4 days battery life, but I feel with a full color touchscreen it will not last that long at all.

And honestly the best part of the Pebble is the huge development community behind it. Your product is only as good as the developers coding for it.

Yeah I really like my pebble, even though I don't use it near to the level that Stigy does. My favorite part is walking around the house with my phone on the charger, and still seeing all my texts and other stuff.

This is my favorite app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.finebyte.pebbleglance&hl=en

Canned SMS responses, weather & details, Tasker tasks activated from the watch. Pretty awesome.

I was given two plantains. Anyone have any good ideas for them? I've never used them before.

Just fry them in oil? No salt or anything after? Dipping sauce?

Me too - one of my favorites on Food Network. AND he is a judge on the Next Food Network Star which would scare me.

Alton Brown is probably the best, most scientific chef on the planet. His thanksgiving turkey recipe is the best. Period.

Yeah, sorry. I meant to say Alton Brown earlier. Love him. Got his first 2 cook books from Good Eats, love them. Not sure if the third version came out yet. But we love 'em.

For the most part, yeah, he's good. However, watching his show on homebrewing beer makes me want to throw a brick at the tv. So much stuff wrong there.

Well, my Bulldogs went 0-2 against UCLA. Maybe next year. Hats off to the UCLA staff for preparing a team that was built to win the CWS if they got there. That team was built from bottom to top to play in TD Ameritrade ballpark. The offense batted well under .300 for the year but relied on speed, bunts, and a few well-timed singles. They didn't need hits to the gap or homeruns to score. The pitchers were fly-ball pitchers and with only 3 homeruns the entire CWS (2 by future MLB power hitters that were line-drive shots that barely cleared the fence down the line), that played right into their staff. In most major league parks, MSU would have had a minimum of 3 homers against them in these 2 games.

The Escherian Stairwell is an interesting concept, right up there with Schrödinger's cat, which is both alive and dead at the same time (depending entirely on whether or not the cat is actually observed). Both are pretty mind-bending

Its been a busy couple days! Anniversary party Saturday to celebrate my aunt and uncle making 50 years together. Sunday was a fundraising dinner for my cousin's family to help with medical bills. Monday mom needed errands run and I got to see Now You See Me (which was really good). And Tuesday was work. Oh, and my car decided to pick this week to have a wire corrode and break. Dad's going to try to see if he can at least get it connected to the battery to see if that's the only problem. Thankfully we have a third vehicle so I have wheels while mine are out of commission. I hope everyone is having a good week so far!

I love a good animal story.

A K-9 Honor Guard for Bear the Police Dog:

Bear, who was injured while aiding in an arrest last week, was greeted by a line of four-footed colleagues at his release on Wednesday from Animal Medical Center in Manhattan.
