Apparently they're petitioning the White House to make Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA the new Nat'l Anthem.
I'm all for it.

Seeing the demo and shape of the G2, that would be awesome!
Still wary about the volume buttons on the back, but it's rare I even use mine.

Not sure I ever hold my phone there. Hopefully there's a way to hold/lock the volume at best?

I used to use an app called Volume Locker on my OG Droid when I first got it. Then I learned I was holding it wrong.

Oh yeah, the glowing one.

Question for everyone, and Anti in particular. My S3 will be here today. Since they're both the same size SIM, I assume power off both devices, take SIM from Gnex, pop into S3 and power on and I should be good to go?
Last time we did this I had to get a separate one since the Bionic uses a full size SIM, not micro. We'll be dealing with that this weekend at Verizon.

Good morning everyone - finished another Pebble watch app last night. It's a Gas Finder app so when you activate the app, it makes a call out to a PHP script I wrote that gets the closest gas station to you and the cheapest in a 10 mile radius and displays station name, distance and direction from current location. Also displays regular price, premium price and diesel price if applicable and the time these prices were last updated.

I'll post a link later today to it when I polish up some things.

Well, I have an excuse for my memory lapses: Gulf War Syndrome...

Have you guys heard about the rumored Motorola X yet? Or has that been brought up too?

EDIT: Come on, people. Get lively or something in here! We're not even at 30k posts yet... and HAPPY FRIDAY

The 4.3 Camera/gallery apk is phenomenal for me. Fixed panorama mode and makes great video.

Just make a nandroid backup, reboot and install:

http://phandroid.com/2013/06/27/android-4-3-for-the-google-play-edition-galaxy-s4-leaked-new-camera-app-available-for-download/

If install fails: use Root Explorer or other file manager to go to System --> App and rename gallery.apk to gallery.apk.old and then install the new one. DONE

Morning BB!

Yet another rainy day here. Getting really really old. Under another flash flood watch until tonight. Some areas around the area have already met their yearly rainfall average. The scary part is what this is going to mean for this winter, since the summer is supposed to be the low point for our rivers, due to evaporation with the heat and we are at moderate flood stage.

Morning everyone! I am in Dallas this weekend to help l my mom move. Wow, 104 yesterday, ugh. I moved away 32 years ago because of the heat and every time I come back on the summer I am so glad I did. Love Texas, but way to hot in the summer for me. Have a great one!

I don't know how long I'd be able to take it. I think 85 is hot. I'm such a weakling when it comes to the heat.

Sooo, they caught an alligator in a creek about 20 miles from my house (near the city). Instead of turning it in to a wildlife refuge or a zoo or something, they just re-released it upstream of the dam just a couple of miles from my house. I ski and everything in that river!

I'm the opposite. I'd rather deal with cold. You can put more clothes on to warm up, but once you take 'em off there ain't a whole lot more you can do to cool off. The heat hasn't been bad here yet...only upper 80's to low 90's but the humidity is stifling. It's around 85-90% humidity in the morning and by mid day when the temperature gets up it's still above 50%. Really makes it hard to breathe as well as cool off.

Yeah to be fair, our choice is between 95 w/ heat index of 110, or 50-60 degrees. So winter wins for us.

I'd rather deal the cold, but I don't like the snow. I'll take heat over the snow anyday. It's a no win situation.

50-60 isn't exactly cold to me so yeah, I'd take your 'cold weather' over ours.

Look for smokers.

You see more people outside smoking on the coldest day of the year than you will on the hottest.

That's because where there's smoke, there's fire.

Duh.

I'm the opposite also, you can dress for the cold, but when it's 90+ there's only so much that you can take off before the authorities get involved.

Yep, it's a pretty typical July, although the higher humidity (severely impacting swamp coolers) and flash floods are kinda sucko.

Gen 2 seems to be very close to release. However $170 is hard to pass up. Limited time at that price.
