Speaking of losing weight, I plan on starting P90X again next week.

Finished it once then did 30 days of Insanity, but I have been slacking big time. Hoping to get back into shape and hate going to the gym around the new year since its extremely crowded with everyone trying to lose weight / stay in shape.

P90X is a great program but I need motivation to get it done again.

I ended up finding things close and then adding a couple points cause I refuse to use fake sweeteners and skim milk. I know what you mean though.
This time I think I'm going to try to stay close to my point range but not go nuts. I know the stuff that's not so good for me but I won't stress if I'm going over my points. I know between being aware of what I'm eating and exercising I'll do much better.
I was not happy to step on the scale this morning though.
But I know I can take it off .....again.

I lost 52 lbs. in 6 months on Weight Watchers (went from 247 to 195) without a bit of exercise. It works but it's a lifestyle change as I've gained most - but thankfully not all - of it back. I found that even at 40, if I exercise 3-4 times a week I can still eat/drink what I want in moderation and not have to count Points. Just have to get back on that bike and ride!

Most of that crowd is gone by March :-) That's OK though, they still pay for a full year - lets us get nice equipment and have lots of classes for the club members that use it year round.

Anyone need tips feel free to PM me, I'm a certified fitness trainer, cycle, bootcamp and TRX instructor. I have 3-4 certs in nutrition as well.

Oh man you are going to be very valuable once I start P90X then -- glad you are willing to help though.

Speaking of, what is your opinion of the P90X and Insanity Workout programs?

At the end of the day the best program out there is the one you'll do.

The workout portion of P90x is great for many people, but think it's a bit over-the-top for others. If you are comfortable with the moves & schedule then go for it.

The diet portion is awesome, if you follow that 100% and do 1/2 the workouts you will succeed.

I have not reviewed Insanity from start to finish so I really can't comment on it.

The first is data drops attributed to old modems (ie. KK1), is that something I need to be worried about? Truthfully, I've got no idea what KK1 means. Also, the PowerSaver function reportedly has a few instability issues with CDMA devices - can anyone who uses this ROM attest to the effectiveness, both PowerSaver and overall?

Hans could tell you if Netflix works with this ROM. I don't use it so wouldn't know. I don't know what KK1 is either sorry. I don't have any issues with this ROM except trying to write and read NFC tags. It's much better than stock imo

The Power Saver feature is something that has been experimental. The developer has a GSM Nexus not a CDMA like ours so he is still working on implementing it for VZ users. Don't use it

My battery life is great on the stock kernel the ROM comes with, and superb on the kernel I use (imoseyons 1.2.1).

Well, in all honesty, I think the PowerSaver feature was the best-sounding part of the ROM - without it, is it worth the trouble of installing and everything? What other major benefits does it have over the stock ROM?

I believe the best thing to do is to try it yourself. Then you'll know if it was worth your time

Hi fellow Gnexers!

I need your help.

I'm looking for a good video chat app. My daughter just picked up a Stratosphere (with a front-facing camera) so I'm itching to try out the face-to-face video conferencing.

I have Google+ but can't find video hangout on the Android app. Any suggestions?

yep, same with nutrition, which is 80% of fatloss. I personally like this guys methods: The Leangains Guide | Intermittent fasting diet for fat loss, muscle gain and health but you really can make almost any diet work.

Try Messenger in the App Tray (installs with Google+) -- I believe that is where you initiate Hangouts from.

Unfortunately Netflix HD doesn't work with ANY 4.0.3 rom at this point.

I have a 4.0.2 backup handy in case I need it.

I have a Skyrim related problem. I ended up buying and furnishing a house in Whiterun and was named Thane of the city. I married my female body guard Lydia and told her to stay put in the Jarl's castle. I then went to Ulfric to return his axe, which was a declaration of war against Ulfric by Whiterun.

I figured I could either kill Ulfric or simply leave. I tried to kill him but it didn't work. I hightailed it back to Whiterun but it was under siege. When I tried to get back into the city, I realized that I had somehow got myself mixed up with the enemy and was now fighting against my own people!

Is Lydia dead? Can I somehow get back into the city to defend it? I also tried using a shout that calls a dragon, but it wouldn't work.

I'm steering clear of the Power Saver stuff until Roman says it's safe, so I don't know about that. But I love this ROM in general. I've had no stability or performance problems, battery life is good, and the customizations have fixed almost all of my minor gripes about the Nexus. And Roman seems to be one of the most responsive developers I've seen.

Unless I missed something a shout does not call a dragon? It is just an attack. Aside from that, you are doing something I never did. I am the thane in Whiterun and another town, I bought 2 houses and I have Lydia staying in one to protect the stuff I leave there. I found a guy to hire for 500. He does magic, has a bow and uses a war ax. He has been fantastic for me. You could either just go with how the story is now playing out for you or start over? I started over 4 times.

How about that. I had no idea you could call a dragon! Maybe this will help you?

It looks you have to complete the main story before you can call one. Where did you find that shout at?

Ah, I forgot to mention that I'm a terrible cheat. It was some console command that I used to get that particular shout.

I'll take a look at that link a little later. What an awesome game!

Oh man, a lawyer joke passed through my head with the first part of your post, but I will resist.

Yeah Gtalk is quick and easy on the phone, but I'm not sure it supports less than 2.3.7... I could be wrong though

I really dont need the extended with 2 standards, but headroom is headroom...

Anyhoo, would there be benefits to learning to unlock and root and return to stock some other way, or even the hard way vs using this easy way? Is this way as good as the harder ways in the bitter end?

Also, from the article, "Note that this doesn’t install a recovery for you but you should be able to install one fairly easily with its bootloader unlocked.". I am not sure what this means. Where would I get a "recovery" if one is not included in the kit?

Thanks for helping!

Generally the rule of thumb is that its OK to continue a program that you were using prior to pregnancy. I've had woman deliver the same day the did a cycle class . Most of the time the dr gives them an HR limit.

Out of lurk mode to ask a question:

I've been researching usb car charger adapters to get one that works well for charging the Nexus with equivalent power to the AC adapter. From what I've read, most adapters will be treated the same as plugging your phone into your computer and therefore draw less current than the wall charger. There is a mod you can do which involves taking the thing apart and soldering the D+/D- pins together. I don't really want to do that. Has anyone had any luck finding an adapter that will let you draw 1 AMP?

I found the following thread on here that discusses this issue, but it doesn't seem to have any resolution: Charging: USB and AC differences - Android Forums

Still don't have my GN, but I tested a bunch of chat clients for the Xoom - and few worked unfortunately. Sounds like the same issues persist on the GN...

Yeah I just tested Google Talk and worked great, except my for some reason I couldn't initiate the video call, my wife had to from her Droid 3. I think it has something to do with the GNex not recognizing that her phone is capable of video chatting.

This charger has been claimed by several people in another thread to provide full AC-level charging.
