Well, it is something to direct people to when they start posting outside of the particular forum game's rules. There is a lot of leeway when it comes to subject matters in those games as long as you follow the right format.

It is also an excuse to have a thread that doesn't have to be on topic to anything. We can talk about whatever we please (as long as it obeys the site rules!).

Not so much as off topic as just degrading into a lounge thread

People express concern about a few of us discussing anime in a few threads and I've seen other threads stop following the rules set forth by the OP. This gives us a place to chat without worrying about having to ban someone or ask questions or having to win...

Not a clue what the hobbit is about, I could have read that when I was a freshman in high school. The closest related is the Lord of the Rings movies, I have not read those books either. The Hobbit takes place before the Lord of the Rings as I last recall looking through Wikipedia a few years ago.. I have not seen the trailer of the Hobbit.
