I've had a few really really good ideas for animated gifs for my avatar.

If I create and upload, will it show up animated or just as a still???

Only asking as I don't want to go through the lengthy process of creating them and they don't work.

My avatar isn't animating here!!! It's animated in my album, but when I upload to use as an avatar it don't work!!

Any suggestions??

Yep 80x80 is the norm, at least most of the ones i frequent.

In the blue bar above this post click "User CP" which stands for User Control Panel. In the left column about halfway down you'll see "edit avatar". If you have an image you want to use sized properly, select use custom avatar and you're golden.

Thanks, I was thinking of trying to make a rope twirling,cowboy android. Complete with ten gallon hat, bandana, chaps, boots. Trying to rope an android calf with horns.(I may be a nuub to computers and android,but if you don't set goals then you just stagnate and stink up the place). I also noticed that your avatar area is way larger than mine. Is this something I could do(my current avatar area is so small you can't see much detail).
