How we all can't wait for the HTC One X. The AT&T smartphone coming out soon and to be the first HTC phone to come stock with ICS and to come with HTC sense 4.0 and with it's very impressive specs the HTC One X is sure to be a very nice phone. That's why I made this thread in dedication of this phone and also for nice place for one and all to hang out and chat about whatever we want.
Have fun!

Android Forums is more than just a forum, it's a community.
AT&T:
Reported to be getting the One X without the 4+1 Tegra 3 processor due to LTE network incompatibility.
Instead it will have the S4 Snapdragon/Qualcomm 1.5GHz dual core processor inside (which might not be a bad thing) & run hTC sense 4.0...
Tmobile: (Rumor)
Tmobile is said to be getting the One X with the Tegra 3 4+1 core processor to run on their HSPA+ network. Rumored to be running stock ICS "vanilla" UI.
They will probably brand this device as a "G" series phone...
Sprint: (Rumor)
Also said to be getting the One X, or maybe a variant, called the hTC Jewel. They will probably brand this device as an Evo HD LTE. It will have the Tegra 3 4+1 core replaced (like AT&T's) with the Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual core processor & (more than likely) probably run sense 4.0... Link in article above as Sprint, too, is expected to offer a version of the hTC One X...
Now with Tegra 3 4+1 core vs. Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5GHz dual core processor...
From what I have been reading/seeing it suggests that the S4 outperforms the Tegra 3 in most cases and even blows it away...
" The whole idea of 28nm and big little design of A15 chip is to provide better performance at a much lower battery cost. So the idea that Tegra 3's 40nm (pentacore) chip will be more efficient seems invalid. Real life usage will tell us more.
In short A15 > A9"
Well, that's what I may have learned and what I think I know about the hTC One X series.
A lot of this are rumors/speculation, so we will all see how it all plays out, with no removable battery and absence of sd card slot included!...you are now free to complain about that for the rest of the thread!

Very much looking forward to it. My carrier has it on their site as "coming soon" (which generally means they're about a month away from having it in stock), so I know what my upgrade is!
No replaceable battery means forced obsolescence when the battery dies. Dead battery = dead phone. No more handing down your phone to a family member or just keeping it around because you like it. We all see the people still happily using their original Droid. Say goodbye to that if we allow this non replaceable battery to become standard. Even if you are the type to get a new phone every six months, you should object to this on principal alone. I will never buy a phone without a removable battery. Ever.

I see this when new phones are coming out, and I gotta ask why. Why make this thread? There is a complete HTC One X subforum here on the site already, why make a thread here in the Lounge about a particular phone? I'm honestly tired of coming in here and still seeing the Galaxy Nexus Lounge thread, I see no use for it to be in this section.

Tell the mods what you think.
Lounge type threads let users openly speculate and discuss upcoming phones, carriers, specs, & generally just hangout without a fear of getting off topic about a specific topic.
Usually if you get too much OT on a certain thread it gets locked. Lounge threads are not support threads so they don't belong there, when someone searches for a specific problem they are having they want to find the answer straightforwardly, not all kind of stuff that is totally unrelated to their problem.
If you are tired of seeing these upcoming phone threads just ignore them.
Don't hate, participate!!!

Not us.
Thanks.

Reason: Removed stuff which could've potentially caused an argument

I made this thread to discuss the HTC One X and not to start arguments or anything. You find lots of similar threads here, but if you don't like it that's ok with me, all I wish is for us to discuss and have fun.

I just hope with the One X they make it to where you can remove the battery and storage. I don't like that with the iphone and I am disappointed they are doing this to the One X.
Am I the only one who thinks the One S looks cooler than the X? The X looks kind of generic to me. Just talking about looks, obviously the X has better specs.

+1
I very much prefer the S, in all ways.
I really don't care about the Tegra 3 4+1 core. Qualcomm S4 SoC is where it's at!
Also, the size of the X is not to my liking.
I can't wait for the Dinc3/4G. It is shaping up to be a One S variant, it supposedly will have the S4 processor and removable battery and sd card slot.
*Crosses fingers hard*
That would pretty much trump the One S to me.
That's just my 0.02

Agreed. You can't judge any device by the amount of negative or positive threads here. People find us because they are having issues with their device.

Yeh I get that and it's great to help people solve their issues, it's why I arrived here also. Sorry my original post may have sounded a bit sarkier than was intended.
Just trying to infuse a little humour into this thread as maybe it should be more a bit more light-hearted than the sub thread?
