Also, heard from the lady they already want to get me on some events! Starting tomorrow at a wedding. I'd be working pantry in the kitchen but making bank. Only thing is I'd likely leave around 10pm+ and have to be at work Sunday morning at 4:30am! Fun times. But, I'm getting a little stir crazy by not working enough (yeah, and that whole money thing ).
I read bike and get all excited until I realize you mean the foot powered kind. I much prefer a rumble in my seat from the kind that moves without foot power.

5 hours of sleep - no problem! Good luck with that though.

Hehe. No, after having two bikes stolen (), I've one the route of bikes from Bikes Direct:
Save Up To 60% Off Road Bikes, Bicycles, Mountain Bikes and Bicycles with Bikesdirect.com, New with full warranties
The quality is pretty good, but it can be spotty. They've more or less taken over some old English and French names and make bikes under them. Frames are decent, but they're able to put in great components for a fantastic price.
I have a fixie (single speed, fixed gear) and a motocross (mountain/road bike hybrid of sorts). They serve different purposes. The former, a commuter, the latter a shopping bike where I need to hump a lot of stuff (it has a rack).
Check out the site. Customer service is solid and the bikes are nice.

Morning y'all.

Posting from my chromebook. It is such a treat to use something so lean. I've thought about putting Ubuntu on this but then I'd have two laptops with Ubuntu and that would be kind of boring for me. chromebook is nice because I does everything I want it to except terminal related stuff. Does anyone know of a terminal app for chromebook? Can the sdk be downloaded and use on this little guy?

Don't know of one on the Chromebook, but I'm sure there is one.

I've been Googleing it and haven't found much in the way of development for it. chromebook, oddly, doesn't support Java, so the ports being worked on are conceptual. Boo.

Good evening all....

Catalytic converter is bad. Don't know exactly what that is or why I need it, but it sounds expensive to fix? Oh well, I will drown my sorrows in the pool with a ice cold margarita.

Catalytic converter can be costly if you get it from a dealership. See if PapaLin has a contact that he knows and trusts. I have a guy who does work for me and charges me cost for almost all parts. Just got two Cat Cons put on my truck for 340 out the door.

Sorry for the bad news k'lin. Hopefully the drinks are strong, the pool is nice, and the candy is crushed.

I have slept the majority of the day. Not sure how I accomplished that but I did, and I still don't want to get up.

Hey! ! ! Just got a call. Apparently a Cc is covered under warranty 8/80k... free baby! ! Free. Oh, and just in case you didn't know, Plin, costs me money where these things are concerned. He shows up for muscle, but not a very good negotiator. Although, he is huge so people by default don't like to mess with me.

It's great as a second little lappy. Since I can't slap an SDK and terminal on it my other lappy will be for all root related stuff. Wish I could dual boot Ubuntu.

Is the memory (16gb) soldered to the motherboard?

You mean like an SSD? All I know is SSD drives are faster than a SATA or whatever else is out there. It has an SD slot in it so that is useful. Also, 100GB extra Drive storage for 2 years. After the two years is up, you can download but not upload.

With how thin the thing is, (the 250 dollar samsung) I suspect the memory would be indeed soldered to the mobo. Not a huge issue as the thing accepts SD cards, but that is kind of the point since it is, after all, a cloud based computer

Morning folks! Our internet/router seem to still be down but somehow I found an open wifi network? Eh, I'll only use it until the lady get's up and I can mess with ours (it's in the bedroom).
Whelp, have my first event I work today for the catering company my wife works for! I think it's a wedding but going to be an interesting night. 3:30pm to 11pm and then get to the restaurant at 4:30am the next morning.
Going to try and grab a quick nap later this morning.

It 'll be fun. It concerns bread. As long as you manage to keep your eyes open and you have a safe retrieval plan. Got your bike fixed?
G'luck!

Both bikes are ready to go. Not sure I'll bike to work tomorrow though, it's supposed to rain all day.
Nah, this job won't concern bread, it's merely plating dishes for a wedding. Wife's boss is curious whether I'll even like doing it; thinks I'll be too bored with it.
Well, maybe, but either way it still pays a TON per hour. The only issue is, since it's contract work, I don't pay any taxes on it. I talked to my dad about it and he said to be really careful since I'll be paying all of those taxes at the end of the year. My brother in law worked an entire year solely on contract work and never saved the money to pay in taxes at the end of the year. They got hit big time! Since this is merely supplemental work, I'm not going to worry about it too much.

Edit: And, I am an idiot. Realized that "open" wifi network is ours.
Must have reset it last night when I was having problems. Whelp, got it renamed and locked up tight again so we're back in business.

Hehe, got the WiFis working no problem!
My new wedding band came in. Remarkably, almost identical to the original. Smaller size is nice. Don't think it'll move around as much when my finger shrinks. Pretty snug right now.
Oh hey, got another nice comment on Yelp for our bread at the restaurant!

The three different kinds of bread (that came in the basket) were heavenly. They were baked to perfection in-house (I missed going to restaurants that serve real bread), and my friend and I wolfed all of it down.

I bought 3. Both room mates bought 4 each. Agreed if we win its a solid 3 way split. I don't see that actually happening unless I win. Lol best of luck all who play tonight.
