Lol. Im in two minds here. shes new to apple too so either i can just leave here to work the thing out by herself (less stress for me) and shel leave the thing stock or i can do a LOT of research, probably involving joining iOs forums and geek it up and THEN have to teach her to use it but at least my geek-brain will learn something new. but does my geek brain REALLY need to know this stuff? Will i ever use what i learn in the future? Can i be assed being a total noob again in a big pond lol?
If i take the 1st approach (most probable) then im taking nothing to do with the phone other than playing with it.
Its annoying though. Im the only phone-geek among my family and friends and they expect me to help them with ios, wp, bb etc which im clueless with lol.
Thats her away to pick up the phone. Just had a thought.. does the ip3g take micro-sim or nano?

Coming up on close to 2 years with LTE. I've found Verizon's speeds to slow way down since.
Hopefully Sprint doesn't go that route with clogging of their servers.

I think the point was LTE requires a sim.

Funky is it the 3g or 3gs. As iPhones go, the 3gs is still my favorite. It's good at what it does.

Another reason I left Verizon. Verizon LTE in San Jose is like T-Mobile HSPA+. And T-Mobile LTE is better than Verizon LTE when it was new.

A canon 5DmkII and 17-40mm f/4L lens. B+W circular polarizer filter. I put the images (both have 3 exposures +2, 0, -2ev) through photomatix, then farther processed with lightroom 4. I think I may end up buying lightroom

Oh,

and these printed up real nice (13x19") on my printer, even though I printed up the "Raw tiff files" of which where not cleaned up and tweaked a bit more.

Here's how I achieve the look here:
Nova Launcher set to one home screen
Dock removed via Nova
Persistent Search Bar removed via Nova
Swipe down for Notification Pane
Double tap for Quick Toggles
Swipe up for App/Widget Drawer
Added Search Button via ROM Control in AOKP ROM

I've since modded the navbar buttons to have a reflection. And, of course, changed the wallpaper.

I wish I could get the whole(or even just most) image on there. Little snippets of road or sky don't do the photo the full justice.

Saw that on android police earlier this evening. I almost always use the aosp keyboard...

But it should already be an option on touchwiz roms right?

Settings > language and input

(Or however you get to keyboard setting on touchwiz. I'm on my gnex right now)

Been using it since 4.2 came out (Nexus user as you well know) and I love it. I've never used a third party keyboard and it's the best stock Android keyboard to date. I just typed this whole post using it with Gesture Typing (swiping).

Thanx peeps. Ive used the same 3rd party keyboard app for years now.
So does it have a uploadfromtaptalk1370491658871.jpg
this way of typing? Lol.
Other than how the keyboard performs, do yous think its cool how google are offering things like this as playstore apps to bypass the big lag of people waiting for carrier-skinned OS updates?

P.s, the only time ive used the stock keyboard is when first using the phone after a wipe.. is that the google keyboard?

Only on aosp ROMs.

On touchwiz it defaults to Samsung's keyboard. But maybe not until after you sign in? Don't remember tbh

Yeah, there must be a keyboard built either deep in the phone or included in gapps coz theres a keyboard there after youve wiped, flashed a non TW rom over another non TW rom, rebooted and had to enter your details.

Going off on a tangent here lol but is there a way i could make my keyboard apk become a flashable .zip so i could flash it when i flash a new rom and it would become my default keyboard even before restoring from titanium?

Titanium backup can make all of your data a flashable zip

May not be default (never used it so not sure), but at least you wont have to download

Hmmm. I've been to numerous concerts, and hate to say this was one of the worst so far.
It was one solid ball of sound, too heavy distorded guitars and fat drum overcompensated his weak voice. Three guitarists hanging out like they would in a studio, freestyling. There was no connection with the 15,000 people.

Haven't tried the feature I'm referencing, so I don't know if that would work.

Alternatively, just don't wipe data when you flash a ROM (I do this regularly). If you run into force closes, do a full wipe

Even when going between completely different roms mate? I dont bother wiping if im just moving up to another version of the same rom but (maybe just out of habit ive always done a wipe between moving to like a different dev. I really hate having to restore apps though and thats what makes me lazy about exploring more roms

Yup. Like I said, have a Nandroid ready just in case, but it'll usually work. If you run into any bugs do a full wipe before reporting them to the devs.

You may have issues going from TW to AOSP or the other way around, but it's worth a shot.

You could also do a full wipe, flash the rom, and then restore data from a Nandroid. It's all essentially the same thing

That sucks. Sorry to hear that.
I've always thought Neil Young was best with just him and an acoustic guitar or minimal band. I hate when he goes the over produced route. He seems like the type of artist you never know what you are going to get from him live.

Thanks mate. Yeah i probably have learnt on here in the past months to be confident that realisticly... its hard to make a mistake that cant be erased by just flashing back to your nandroid. Think ill experiment a bit more. I strongly doubt ill ever go back to a tw based rom but i have a nice nandroid saved on the pc of Neat Rom set up nicely so if i give the phone to Mrs Logik, itl be nice n mainstream for her
