I was just now surprised to find that in spite of being so old…

…that it has a UPC–E barcode on it.

I wasn't aware that those had been around nearly that long.

I guess I remember the cracker can...but I do remember this when it first came out.

Notice it says “newfangled.” Yep, this is the ORIGINAL can of Pringles from the 1970s!

When empty, we would punch a hole in the bottom of it and created our own Bong!

I had an Atari, hooked to one of those big TVs that doubled as a piece of furniture. Playing games like Breakout or Space Invaders always involved a lot of "help" from the cats.

I just spent a holiday in a grasslands village staying with friends, it's just like that there. They have electricity sometimes when they need it, which comes from a generator and the water comes from a well. Coal, wood or dried sheep manure for cooking and heatng in the winter.

i never had an outhouse but family in pa did. and never had cable till 2000's when i moved to fla. got my first cell in 2009 and was born in the 60's.

the telegraph, i thought i'd put up for fun and my neighbors in ct had party lines.

I feel that way at times also. It seems like you end up leaving home with too much stuff to carry!

Washboards and Fels Naphtha soap worked pretty well.

I have a wool doublet (vest) that I wear a bit and I have been looking for a washboard so I can clean it by hand.

Oddly enough, I had one of these hanging in the kitchen as a child. No.. I'm old but not that old. My father loved antiques and wired one of his purchases into the bell system. You could not make a call on it but you could answer a call.
Our real phone looked very similar to this model and it set on a shelf in the hall. You had to stand there to talk.

I remember when I used to have 10-15 friends tops and we'd do stuff outside daily...now I have 500 on Facebook and indoors mostly... yep the future sure is friendly. Human interaction > fb anytime. I guess people forgot how to talk to each other.
