Dan, I really hate to do this to you.
Stakes and crosses don't do anything. I mean a stake to the heart doesn't feel good, but our hearts don't work. It would be like me expecting you to die because your appendix was removed.

i agree the appendix thing.. but dont buy the stake-in-heart thing.. let me test it on you.
Feel free, I heal fast enough. Just don't be too shocked when you find out what happens to humans who get that close.
I'll save you the time though. Crosses, garlic, holy water, stakes, silver bullets, etc. are all myths a legends. Some of them may hurt, but they don't kill.
Gah, Season 5 finale, "The Gift" (when it was "supposed" to end the series). Likely, going to watch that now.
As much as Dawn is a pain, she did a great job in a lot of episodes.

Tonight's sunset was the last to be seen by our eyes, but now, we shall enjoy the moonlight. Stalking our prey as they wander to and fro. The clubbers and 3rd shifters and night owls are no longer safe - for tonight, we feed.
I awoke from my sleep. My neck hurt and I was hungry. I can't help but feel that there should be a part of me that should be ashamed of what I've done. She was young, couldn't have been much older than 20. Did she deserve this? No she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Yet I'd be lying if I told you I felt the slightest bit of remorse. I could smell, almost taste her blood from across the room. It was intoxicating and was drawing me closer. I could hear her blood pumping round her body as if her heart beat was inside my head. The closer I got the greater the temptation became. I'd never wanted, never needed something so much. That feeling you get when you've held your breathe under water so long that you begin to panic that you'll never breathe again, when you eventually resurface your natural instincts take over and you uncontrollably gasp for air. But I wasn't gasping for air, I was gasping for blood. Temptation became too much and I sunk my teeth into her neck. That first taste of warm blood was pure ecstasy, a feeling so overpowering, far beyond anything a mere mortal could even begin to comprehend. Her cries for help couldn't save her now, not even the fear in her eyes could dissuade me, I had tasted blood and I wanted more. As I drained her warm satisfying blood I could feel her pulse beating erratically but with each mouthful it was becoming weaker and weaker. With my thirst still unrelenquished I continued to drain every last drop until I was left standing over her pale lifeless body. I know I should feel guilt but I can't. I've never felt so alive. I've never been stronger, fitter, happier. How can the thing that has made me feel so alive be the very thing which killed me?
Now, I only did a good ol' ctrl+F browser based search through the pages of this thread (too lazy to read three pages right now), and I didn't find an explanation to this.
But...

I don't think open season has been declared on premium/normal members, as I'm not sure if everyone spends time in The Lounge.
I think OTD has turned one or two who, foolishly perhaps, seemed to want to be undead. If she gets a whiff that you wouldn't be averse to her biting you, you'd better just keep a look out, as you could end up having a bad reaction to sunlight

There I was, just minding my own business then I felt a presence just behind me... by the time I turned to see if anyone was there, it was too late... OTD was already gone and I was falling to the floor, hand clamped to my sore neck.
In fairness, OTD was gentle... I'm still here, even if the mirror doesn't seem to show it!
