The wife is torturing me with a mix of Christmas movies and Disney movies. I am going to have to wash my eyes out with Clint Eastwood.

Ugh, student keeps emailing me, begging me to give her another chance (she failed the class, obviously). Unfortunately, she's asking for a project, and it's too late for that. If only she had studied more. Obviously, some students are always going to have a harder time than others, but then you just got to suck it up and try harder. I know that feeling.
I haven't replied to any of her emails because I don't really know what to tell her. I mean, obviously it's too late for some sort of project, and I doubt she could do it well. 10% is too much. (she needs 10% overall to pass). It's not a lot if she had tried harder from the beginning. I gave so many incentives during the term too.

Hey wynd/liamo
Weekend's pretty good thanks... friends were over last night, I rooted my mates phone and we then had drinks (always better to do rooting before drinking)!
Hope you've all had a good weekend too!

No going to see it tomorrow night. I have VIP tickets booked. I've heard really good reviews.
I'm especially looking forward to it as the lord of the rings are my favourite films ever. I've been hopping they would make The hobbit for years and now its finally here

We don't have a car and town is 40 mins away on the bus. It'd mean we'd be back quite late if we went in the week and we've been mega busy each weekend... sort of a tradition to go on Christmas eve too

Aye the cinema is a couple of miles away too. I've got a push bike so when we go places Mrs Presidente normally has to sit on my handlebars. If we use her BMX, I just stand on the stunt pegs.

I've gotten used to not having a car. Having changed jobs for one in the town I live in helps (20 mins on a bike). We used to run 2 cars... I have no idea how though... we couldn't afford to run one, let alone 2 any more!!

We have one car the wife needs to get to events and work, but I'm solely on public transit. While DC is pretty good with the bus system and subway system, there's still quite a few holes.
I'll sometimes wait 30-40 min for a bus to get home after a long day at work. If I drove, it'd be under 20. But it certainly is helpful on nights we go out and imbibe and don't have to worry about driving.

Yep, and we cab occasionally. I close one night a week so it's after the buses are done. Pricey, but at least I can get to bed sooner.
