something I noticed loggin on to facebook this morning. On the bottom of the facebook page it says "Download Facebook for your Hero" Does the HTC Hero have the same hardware as the Incredible? Just curious is all and also wondering if anyone noticed the same

Yes all the way up at the top of any screen, its a part of the address bar.

I just tried an App called LogMeIn. It is a remote access for the PC. I have to say it is pretty cool. Have to register first on logmein.com. It is in beta and currently free but worked very well on the Incredible.

You're not supposed to use the trackpad, you're supposed to use the virtual keys.

I have found many good apps but I am somewhat frustrated by the 'Market' widget. I would like to have better sorting options to help me determine the best app for me. What websites can you recommend that will help me in this fashion? I just found appbrain.com and that seems pretty nice. Anything better?

Well, this is the alternative to the massive thread... now we have hundreds of unorganized threads, dozens of duplicates, etc... i can't imagine how this is better but it is what it is.

OK. I have had the phone since the 29th with zero issues.......until today. I received many phone calls, and could not hear the other person. I placed several calls, and had the same problem. After texting some of the people I called I asked if they could hear me and they said no. I rebooted the phone twice to no avail. Finally I did a full reset and it solved the problem. Has anyone else had this, or similar issues. I would really hate to have to do a factory reset each time there is an issue. I still have a few weeks before my 30 days is up. If the problem happens again, I will return for a new phone.

yes, with handcent app which replaces the stock messaging app. It can turn on screen and pop up when screen is locked.

haha one issue i had was that i send a semi-long text to someone and they asked why i put upsidedown question marks in between every single letter....I didn't. LOL. idk why it showed up that way, she said that was the only message that did that though

it happened to me,but I figured out why. My car has bluetooth audio which automatically sysncs with phone when in range. i was on a call and my wife got in my car and drove away, probably listening to what the person I called was saying as I couldn't hear or speak to them. Otherwise no probs!

My first Incredible I returned because the on/off switch stuck and then I had the same problem not being to make or receive calls. I pulled the battery out and it reset. They sent me a new phone and no problems with the new one. I would return it!

Is it the Handcent SMS app? There are quite a few app's title Handcent.

yes, app. the others are a bunch of extra fonts, locale plug-in, etc... you don't need that stuff, just get the app and customize to you preferences. And before you post that it's broken and giving you double notifications, make sure you disable notifications in the stock app so you only get one.

another thing that I don't like

when sending text messages in landscape mode you have to hide the keyboard in order to click send

You might be able to scroll down with the optical input

i guess that's just how the sense on screen keyboard is because on the moto droid the send button is still visible at the top in landscape mode

Try to not "hit" the optical, but slide down

Try Appbrain, you'll have to download the app and go to the website the link is...

I read the original question wrong - thought you were trying to turn off the vibrate on the number keypad. That's what's I've been wanting to turn off.

Whew, long thread. I just got my Inc. 5 days ago and have kept it in it's virginal state while I evaluate it.

I haven't played much with appearance settings such as themes and wallpaper, but please someone tell me if there is a simple way to get rid of that stupid cartoon green robot that pops up when I'm receiving a call. Looks like something that would be on a kiddie toy phone.

Hello all. I'm a first time Droid user (longtime Blackberry user) and I had been eyeing the Nexus One when it was supposed to come to Verizon and decided to check out the Incredible. Didn't have an upgrade so I had to think about it first because I'd be paying full retail price. I checked it out on Wednesday and had to have it. Too bad Best Buy was sold out, but they said they'd get more on Friday. I couldn't wait so I went to the Verizon store on Thursday. I told them I wanted 2 for full retail price and they were rude and made me wait more than 20 minutes. I decided they didn't deserve my business and went to Best Buy the next day. I got 2 of the 3 they received that day and have been loving it since.

I'm trying to learn as I go (I'm not the most tech savvy person, but I can learn with guidance), but still can't figure out some things...yet.

Does anyone know can I customize the alarm tone because I hate waking up to the ones they have?

I have been running a Droid Eris 2.1 for months, and I am receiving my Incredible tomorrow. Has anyone who upgraded to the Incredible had an Eris before, and if so are the known issues still there (e.g. not automatically updating weather and mail) the Eris battery never really bothered me with ATK, is Incredible's better or worse? Thoughts, comments, regrets about upgrading too quickly or to the wrong device appreciated.

I had the ERIS

Weather will NEVER update on its own. But the keyboard no longer lags!

It doesn't feel as good in the hand as the ERIS, but nothing bad at all.

Funny. When running stock 1.5 on my Eris my weather would automatically update. I thought it was contributed to running leaked 2.1 OS

That is still an issue. sadly, HTC isn't as on it as Apple. we won't see any major updates for months or a year.

Is there an airplane mode widget? I thought there was, but I can't seem to find it anymore. I know about the long press on the on/off switch, but a widget would be easier. Thanks =)
