It is mind bending. I said a few pages ago... the Dinc was the common ground that forged the friendships here. But the friendships will far outlast the phone... though it's one heck of a phone. Mine still sits proudly above my desk on it's special shelf.

Mine is in the drawer next to my nightstand. My daughter may inherit it if she proves she can handle the responsibility of her current phone for a while.

mine is actually in use now. my better half is loving her first smart phone experience, though she is ready for something bigger, better, faster, lol.
She wants the galaxy note (at&t though...have you SEEN it? its HUMONGOUS!) but I may talk her into the maxx.. can't argue with that battery (3300 stock)

I haven't seen the Note but we sure are getting a lot of new owners logging on lately.
As for the Maxx... that does say a lot.. and a bit of a slap in the face of the first Razr owners though. At least we didn't tread that path.

The 'Note' is a monster, 5.3" screen.
But yes the Maxx is a really nice looking device, plus since the Razr started off so thin the Maxx with its massive 3300 battery is still puny compared to ANY other phone with a extended batteery
How are you and that golden voice of yours doing???
I'm OK! Lots of changes in life, but it's good!!
Well, you know I teach singing. I have about 73 students... I believe it's the most I've ever had. I work 6 days a week, now. My youngest turned 18 on Friday, so life's a changing. That's okay.
Nowadays, I worry about what tax bracket I'm in rather than where my next meal is coming from. Funny, huh?
I moved from the frozen north to San Diego and married a childhood friend I got reconnected with. We have none each other most of our lives. I liked her when I was 18 and she was 15, but her dad would have killed me back then, now the age difference isn't as noticeable! LOL
I am doing my computer service business down here and it's coming along well. Not as crazy busy as I was in Washington, but that is a good thing. Mostly just enjoying the beautiful weather!
Congratulations! This seems like a good time for you.
Thanks!
Things are definitely looking up. After what I went through the last three years, it's nice to finally feel "settled".
Thinking of retiring the Dinc and getting a Rezound. Thought I'd do some reading first. My Dinc has served me well and is still working fine. If the thing would just break, I could justify getting a new phone! LOL
^don't you dare speak of such things! LOL. I talked my better half into finally getting s smart phone, she is LOVING my trusty Incredible
I know what you mean. This is by far the best phone I have ever had. Everything still works fine with the exception of the mobile network widget which will not turn my 3G on and off. I have to keep going into the settings. But this seems to be a common problem and there is no third-party apps that work to do it.
But, I would like the speed of a dual-core processor, among other things.
My Dinc's power button became very difficult to make function about a month before the Rezound came out. I looked around and the Rez looked good to me. I've had zero problems with it. It still has to last another 19-20 months to prove it's as reliable as my Dinc. Do check out the Rezound area. Bunch of good guys in there.

I have been, thanks! Been reading all the posts to see what problems if any, I might face. Seems like that "bootlooping network" problem was the only "common" one and that seems like a simple fix just changing the network settings. I wonder if I should do that as soon as I get the phone.

Definitely loving my rezound. Don't recall any issue like that, must have missed out on it, thankfully. My old incredible is still going strong as a game platform for the 5 year old.

I never experienced the problem. I have had just had great luck and zero problems. My only complaint is the beat settings don't work through my bt stereo headphones.... small bitch

Kewl.. it's great that it's still serving a purpose. Can you just imagine having such a toy when you were five? All I had was a good stick lol.
wait for one of quad cores. you'll have bragging rights if you enter a smartphone pissing contest. or you can always wait for the 4g iPhone

Don't need the bragging rights, but a quad-core sounds good if they do it right. When are they due out?
I think the quads will be cool.. when things are written to utilize the processors. As for release date... on the near horizon as rumors go.
I would not want to be the alpha or beta owner though. I want to see how fast a quad kills the energizer bunny.

I only had the Dinc for 8mos before going to the Dinc 2, the DX2 and now the Nexus. Didn't meet BB until The Epic Thread, nor Steven for that matter. blkblt, iowabotech and a few others that I am spacing on were my buds in the All Things Root section. Come to think of it, BB, did you spend time posting Wallpapers in the Wallpapers Thread? I may not be remembering correctly but I swear you were there...gotta go find out now!

I think I did a few in the Nexus threads but Dinc I'm not sure I did.
Isn't it a great feeling to have such a great reliable backup patiently waiting in the wings? I had a chance to sell my Dinc when I move on and I said.. NO WAY.
I may never use it again.. but if needed.. I know it's ready.
