I need help unrooting the HTC Magic, I have tried many things but I can't seem to make it work. I have a Windows7 computer, I plug my HTC magic into the computer and the program HTCsync syncs the phone. As soon as I launch the RUU utility program, it disconnects the HTCsync and I get an USB error message. I also tried changing the capability mode into WindowsXP or Windows Vista but that didn't work too. I also tried using Virtualbox with WindowsXP but the HTCsync does not sync wit the phone.

Suggestions Please...

You might need to use a Gold card to install the official RUU depending on the rooting method you used. Search howto make a gold card, put it in the phone and try running he RUU again. hope this helps you

and may i ask why you want to UN-ROOT? is it to return or exchange the phone?
