I want to root my HTC Magic, and there are many online help guides and videos on how to do it for the cupcake but only for G1.

The magic does not have a hard keyboard, so when you restart in recovery mode, you cant type in the commands as the on screen keyboard wont come up? any suggestions??

Not that I know of. I'd check xda-developers and see if anyone has gotten one working.

Alternatively, you could send me Magic and I'll get to work on it right away
